Helen, I just don't think you're going to run out of doodle ideas and/or color combinations. For you and your superior artistic soul, the possibilities are limitless! The one thing I'll say though...I don't care what medium we're talking about, be it tombows, colored pencils, watercolors or other paints, YOU SHOULD HAVE ALLLLL THE COLORS!!! Seriously! 😁
Hi Helen. I appreciate how you speak openly about your good and bad brain days. Many of us experience severe anxiety and have a difficult time managing it. Finding the planner community has changed my life in that aspect. Planning allows me to feel a little in control when you have none sometimes. In April I switched to the Hobo cousin and am in love with it. It has met all my needs and I think that I have found planner peace. You inspire me with your drive and ambition. What you accomplish with your shop and the joy the emotis bring to us is amazing. Please keep posting your weekly vlogs. They are the highlight of my week some weeks and I look forward to them.

I appreciate your "plan with me" videos and flip-thrus; I get so many ideas of things to try and ways to organize the daily pages and make them work for me. Also, thank you for being so open about your mental health and for being willing to discuss it in the contecxt of planning, art, and such

Wow you finished the Community Center quickly! 🤣 I’m a Stardew player, too. Do you ever play multiplayer? Loved the flip through, BTW. Your doodles and washi and stickers are the cutest!
I’m a fan of back-planning the monthly because that’s the fastest reference place for future me. If future me wants a gist of what happened when, I look in the monthly. Sometimes future me leisurely flips through weekly’s, but that’s more for specifics, like memory keeping and vibes. I rarely read over my dailies, so I let myself write and doodle whatever there. Those are for present day me, not future me.
I love this, I too realized that my monthly spreads are the best ones to use as a reference. I got the idea from the family calendar that I keep on the fridge to keep track of everyone's appointments. That's usually the place I go if I need to flip back a few months to check when something happened. I keep the previous years calendars and it's been super useful for that too. But yeah in my Hobonichi my dailies are memory keeping or feelings journaling, not useful for tracking things, but you described it perfectly it's for "present day me not future me" I love that 👌💖
Don’t worry about repeating colors believe me I’m old enough to tell you that life is repeats itself and that’s a good thing. It takes a lot of energy & emotion & sheer brain power to deal with new things. That’s why something like your journal are is so important. There are whole years that have disappeared because while I know good things happened I can’t remember the details. A diary/journal/calendar can help you remember those years even if all the entries are black and white.

Congratulations on meeting your daily writing goal! That’s huge! I wish you nothing but the best in finishing strong for the last half of the year. I am so sorry you are experiencing anxiety so often. Maybe once you settle into a new routine, that could provide your mind with some structure and some predictability. My daughter struggles with this, too, and I see in her that it’s when she’s overwhelmed, when her to-do list is so long, or when there’s too much change in her life at one time. Setting aside a little more self-care time works for her, and not going and doing all the things. She’s learned to slow down and reprioritize her list to calm her mind. Maybe this can help you. You’ve just uprooted your life and made some major changes, and maybe you just need some time to process all of it. Know that I am praying for you. And your family. I would also love to hear more about chicken story! And, as always, I look forward to your next video. Blessings to you for a better week ahead.

I’m very basic. I go for cute and colourful. Sometimes I’ll base my theme off whatever stickers I put on my months cover page, or use the colours in the sticker. Oh hey, so you like mild liners and live in Canada, have you ever tried Micheal’s artists loft mild liners?
Hello Helen, do you do budgeting? Do you use the computer or plan it out in hobonichi or a notebook? You can always buy more different colours of Tombow markers for your Hobonichi planner if you are getting bored with what you have.
