- New in FL Studio 21 are the fades or crossfades and the gain function. In this video I show you how it works.

I've always waited for the fade feature in fl studio 😊
is there any option to remove the fade buttons? im not talking about auto crossfades but rather to remove the fade option fully. its so annoying to me
Great Videos Thank so much!!
Thankx ! Good job
How do you stop crossfades from being made? For instance, on my kicks I want them close but I don't want them to crossfade on each other and just remain separate.
I was wondering this as well
Me too
That's weird I can't get auto crossfade to work at all, but I was able to in the beta
Edit: Figured out that it doesn't work with my template for some reason. It works with a blank empty project though. Which is weird because I used my template in the beta as well.
thanks for this comment, i have the precise same issue! is there a button in preferences we need to check perhaps?
is it possible to put it on somewhere in the settings?

00:39 I sure wish mine was working like that. Automatic Fades checked in the settings. Switched back to default theme. Save and reopen, still no fade in.
I did it in my first project with FL 21. However something's gone wrong, I make a manual fade just like you did, however the sound is loud no matter what I do.
I even clicked automate volume to try that, got an automation clip, it did nothing just like clicking and dragging the handles on the sample. I opened the sampler, and manually linked the volume knob to the clip, the volume knob moves with the automation clip, however it's either full mute with the knob turned all the way down, or full volume the moment the knob is turned up even just 1%. This is clearly broken.
So far the only way I've worked around this was to drop Fruity Balance in the FX chain and link it to the volume automation clip with a formula of (input*1.6) and that worked. I'm doing this with my samples gain staged to 50% rather than 78%
I can't imagine this release is going to be popular if the coolest thing is broken for others too. I feel like this release was over stuffed and the dev team had too much to manage for one release. I've come to expect better from FL in the two years I've been using it. I feel like an "abandon volume multiplier" setting to check would be handy for this situation.
Update: After switching to the default theme, and starting a new project, I seem to have the feature back.
That project which had a very slightly modified default theme has the issue baked in, so switching back to default did nothing. I find it very interesting that a text color change and a highlight color change took crossfade away. It feels almost like applying a theme is like using a completely different version of FL, and that version doesn't have crossfade, silly stuff.
how do i turn this off i want my kicks close but i dont want the fade lmao
I don't see this fading option when I hover the mouse in the end of the track - how to turn it back on? It was before but seems i turned it off smh
thanks!
how to turn off auto-fading (its super anoying)
how can you do this with a pattern clip!
