I had to drive through this area once because I volunteered at a homeless shelter. The drugs and crimes were getting bad back then. I am so glad these people are being cleared out and given a place to stay, even if it is temporary.

President Reagan’s greatest mistake was closing all the mental health institutions across this country. Opening them back up would solve at least 80% or more of homelessness everywhere. Problem is, it makes sense. And if it makes sense- it’s not going to happen. ☹️
He didn't close anything as governor(not president). He simply and correctly didn't allow for non criminals to be incarcerated against their will. Everybody always bloviates how the homeless problem is because of mental illness. That is such a small amount- the real issue is chemical dependence.
A wise man sees only solutions The Swiss had a problem with herion addicts in the 90s and instead of building another prison they set up a program for herion addicts that consisted of 7 buildings located in different parts of the country with 1 doctor, 1 nurse and 1 social worker This program is how the Swiss won their war on herion drug addiction They simply do not have a problem with it now! To get on this program you must be at least 22 years of age and be willing to surrender your drivers license and agree to not commit any crimes Once on this program addicts had a doctor evaluate their drug usage and prescribe enough to keep them happy so they would want to stay in this program and not go back to buying it on the street This did away with shoplifting prostitution etc and made the streets a lot safer and ruined it for the drug cartel Because herion is so cheap to produce they produced it themselves and that created jobs for the Swiss Because herion is so cheap herion addicts can easily afford it and the ones who can not go around to schools giving lectures educating children so that they can make educated decisions and not do as they have done
The essential thing that everyone should be thinking about right now is investing in non-government sources of income. Especially in light of the current global economic crisis. It is still a wonderful moment to invest in gold, silver, digital money, and stocks.
