She was a good skater back then but she's an amazing choreography these days! She used to choreograph for Ekaterina Gordeeva and Sergei Grinkov, as well as Katia's solo career. She also coached Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir (Go Canada yes I'm Canadian) as well as Charlie White and Meryl Davis. Marinas son is also engaged to Meryl as of 2017.
igor shpilband actually coached both of those teams and then added marina on the coaching team and then she worked with them alone for 2 years but shpilband coached and made those teams in addition to many many others
@@grantnoroyan4083 yes I am well aware. She was originally brought in as the choreographer samething with Sergei and Katia. I've had following their career since I was about 6. That's why I said choreographer not coach.
@@Justbooksmusiccatsandapen yes good you know many people dont know and think she was there original coach and choreograher which is not true,..she was igors assistant for years and then there were issues between them which forced many teams to decide who to go to.....interesting now zueva has very few teams and shpilband has about 15 teams now
@@grantnoroyan4083 the difference between Igor and Marina is that she has a specific way of choosing teams and is very selective with the people she works with. Igor doesn't go by potential where is Marina does. I think it's more financially and time based for him. I don't know either parties but that is my guess. Most of her teams have made the Olympics. Or very close to it.
This program seems to be very typical for Soviet ice dance teams back then. A lot of short and quick movements. Thankfully Natalia Dubova took it into a different direction by the time the 80s came around.
Got to say... if Marina is 22 here, that means she's nearly 55 - she looks incredible for her age... I mean wow and one of the greatest ice dance choreographers in my opinion.
Para su tiempo excelente patinadora, nota curiosa al final usaron música mexicana. Sin embargo nada parecido a las presentaciones de Tessa Virtue y Scott Moir, los que a mi juicio han sido maravillosos!!
Man, this is hardly recognizable as Ice Dance when compared to the sport now. This routine looks like something that Virtue and Moir could have done as children. And how did the Soviet Union find Mr. Spock to pair with Marina? They must have found enough of him scattered around the Tunguska site to reconstitute a new Spock from his DNA, or whatever performs the function for Vulcans.

She was very ugly, especially among Russian beautiful girls. And all her American pupils are extremely ugly, Davis for example
look at their unison!

I wonder if Scott Moir is a mean coach now too because of how hard she was on them when they were ice dancing. lol.
Зуева сейчас успешно работает в канаде
Сто они как действительно родину невзлюбили то в Канаде то в америке
