Just got rid of hundreds of hornets/yellowjackets in the wall above my doorway. Here's how: Using my shop vac on "reverse flow - air out instead of in" I injected 5% Sevin Dust (available anywhere) into their entrance. I just used the extension tubes with a crevice tool attachment which has a small crack of an opening. I put the Sevin dust into the hose, 3-4 tablespoons, replaced the crevice tool on the end, stuck it up to the entrance and turned on the shop vac. It shot the dust into the hole so hard I think it filled the entire wall space! After an hour or so, I didn't see any activity, but I did it a second time. Absolutely no activity from the entrance since I did this and there were hundreds coming and going before.
If you can find the can of wasp spray that has a little tube attached it helps with reaching the opening of their nest you spray the opening then stick the tube within the foam getting them inside so they can’t escape
You may know by now... spray at night when nearly all are in the nest... get it into the opening as good as possible... use caulk to seal the entrance, again, at night.
Not sure if you ever got rid of the nest or helped me out for tips with mine, but i did have a good laugh. I would love to see more reviews on stepladders or something. Brilliant vid cheered me up and i simply forgot about my pesky wasps briefly!.
Thanks! Might need to review some helmets before I look at stepladders though! Also, I forgot to tell you, the spray did work! Hope you got rid of them.
We have a concealed nest RIGHT above our front door, in the wall of the house. Where our two toddlers come in and out of all day. It’s a nightmare. Had to locate where they were coming from with a camera meant to see inside walls for electrical work. What a nightmare.
Have to say, this is just a brilliant review, like comedy gold! You don’t fix the issue and move on to a pizza review instead - you should either do more reviews just like this. Or be on TV. Seriously. Thanks.
@@PaternalDamnation This is what worries the hell out of me lol... We've got a nest where they're entering via a hole in a brick wall so i'm worried that blocking the entrance with foam might provoke them to venture deeper in and chew through the ceiling or something. In two minds whether to spend £50 on a pro or just stick a motorbike helmet on and give it a go myself.
Yeahhuuup. Dealing w the same. I’m in Texas, and don’t know what hot pizza is. Frozen pizza isn’t pizza. I’m using a bowl of apple vinegar. Dish soap and sugar sitting by the hole. They’re filling it up, for sure…probably over a hundred now. Bastards are killing my monarchs.
Haha, is American hot pizza not a thing? UK food companies name all kinds of food American to try to make it sound sexier. Will try your solution next time!
Why waste even more time whinging about it? The spray did work, incidentally. The wasps never came back, otherwise I would've filmed a sequel just for you, Lynda x

The part where you started choking because you mistook the spray for the far-shooting kind had me laughing. It's something I would do
Haha, I won't be making that mistake again (ah, who am I kidding, I probably will).

Thanks! I think I got lucky as they never returned, but will definitely do this if they do.

Yikes. They sound well stuck in. I'd be tempted to blitz the entrance/exit, run out the door and go on holiday for a week!

This made my day. Can you imagine trying to pitch this to a TV exec though?!
I needed this video it gave me courage to get rid of them on my balcony 😂
Hope you got rid of them!
Genius...god just keeps giving doesn't he ?
Did you get rid of the nest ? I've got one in the cavity wall, right in the wall next to the wall. Worried it will come through the plasterboard
Yeah! The trap did nothing really, but the spray really seemed to do the job. Definitely worth a bash.
@@PaternalDamnation nice one , did you leave the nest ?
@@s125ish Yep still up there but no wasps wanna go near that haunted hive now.

It’s inside my wall, near my front door as well😩
Nightmare! Get yourself some spray. I haven't seen any since I gave 'em a spritzing.
I have the same problem I hear them on the inside
@@kingdomcitizen4788 Hope you find where they're getting in/out from. Once you've found that, you can blitz 'em!
Same here, close to a window. Way to high to get 'm and get away.
Eis Vogel success pest control was in and baffled 😂 it was swarming because I kept using sprays, so I aggravated them 😂😂😂
That took a week off your life lol 😂
Haha, at least I went down fighting!
You haven't got a clue 😂😂
Haha, I won't argue with that. It worked though!
LMAO
jesus h christ
😂
I just wasted 9:13 minutes of my life
Don't forget the extra 10 seconds it took you to write a worthless comment too!
Too much talk- not enough subject. Found myself fast forwarding and finding the same blah blah.
Whereas I could just read your insightful comments for days.
Why don't you get to the point. Nothing worked! Waste of my time watching this.
