For counterplay I find that having the shield umbrella is so nice since you can drop the shield without breaking cover and dance between the sides to stall the charm duration or be more aggressive and risk the vulnerability. But I also did this solo so no team fights to worry about
Right now it feels like the heat system is pretty much only a way to limit Larcin pickpockets. You can poke one or two NPCs to see if they're players, but if you do too many in a short period of time, you'll become vulnerable, and poking a VIP is as hot as three other NPCs.
The reason I think guards do not effect the heat system is that guards will attack you once your cover is blown. So you will have to shoot guards at times in defense.
I was thinking the same thing. If you duck in cover from a player your fighting but need to take a guard out that is close by shooting you it wouldn't be fair if you then engaged the other player again and you would take more damage. They need to make it where you only get guard heat if you are in disguise and attack one.
@@sth60 You could always make it contingent on if you've been recently damaged/damaged by an enemy spy you won't build heat by killing guards. This would also give more value to Xiu and Larcin's abilities.
I love this, not going to lie I am doing so bad at this game, played 86 games with 1 win, I can sneak and that but comes to shooting I am so bad I don't know if its my sensitively or what. Any tips because I do adore the game but I am that bad it's making not want to play
I'm not very good at aiming either but got around 20 wins with 200 games played. My advice is to think about figuring out who the players are, let them make a mistake and punish hard. Towards the end people will get jumpy and rush towards the package carrier. Let them fight each other and try to surprise the last survivor before he gets a chance to recover. Good luck this game is fun and very hard because there are tons of skilled players and no ranks so you will often go up against very high skilled players and smurfs so don't worry too much about loosing and enjoy. Winning will be rewarding

the heat system does work it only affects u if u kill the wrong target when ur in cover, but when ur not in cover it doesn't effect you
Also winning needs to be worth more than 100 points.

I am in the same boat like I try to have fun but I hope the game goes into more stealth based instead of just being a fps with a spy esthetic

Try playing on trios. U must be good at something, if ur team is good at the other things such as aiming, then ur good!

The heat system is useless as it doesn't work on guards.
What is the thing you card thingy u throw when u get a kill??
It's a "calling card", you can throw them by pressing T on PC.
You can throw them any time you want, no need to kill anyone.
