Today I decided to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 doing the nuke 'n pave but the installation forced me to connect to internet to continue via Microsoft account only, there is no other way until I watched this video.
My PC 🖥 is a Intel Core i5-9600K with 32GB DDR4, Gigabyte H370M-DS3H motherboard & two 512GB NVME drives (one for OS and apps and the other for storage personal files).
PEOPLE: DOING CAREY'S METHOD AND MAKE SURE UNPLUG ETHERNET CABLE BEFORE INSTALL WIN 11.

Well, this was convenient. I was about to make an upgrade that was going to require a new motherboard, CPU, RAM... basically everything except the hard drives and GPU. I had just about resigned myself to spending a bunch of money on a new license.

maybe it's my impression, but after making the bootable media this way and installing it it runs better, as in smoother and less lagging then before? i love ot how it runs, thank you carey❤

Carey you can also by pass the email system if you enter a user name like nick hit next it will say can’t find Microsoft account on the login page then lets create you a local account try it
The picture from the Sony camera is the best quality I have seen, it has to be 4K, Carey Is this the best way for me to go so I keep my data as well as a much quicker updated PC old or not as a man who loves MSFS 2020, PC Technology & Space discovery? @CareyHolzman, you have 100MB down wow I would love that, in this area of Northwest Montana, USA, on an Indian Reservation we have 15Mbp down and for $200 a month you can get 25Mbps down, phone company here is only provider, no cell tower internet.

I followed you and when it comes time to write the iso, rufus does not popup the box to ask the questions. Not sure why. on windows 7 pc. Then tried it on a windows 10 pc and it worked correctly. FYI Thx for sharing from Wyoming

Thanks for the shout-out to us. U.S. Army last duty station: October 1973-1974 Stationed at I Corps, 51 Signal Battalion A Company Camp Red cloud Ujongbu Korea. I have a laptop with Windows 10 and used a USB Thumb drive and downloaded the Windows 11 OS, when I brought up the OS to install it a window came up, and wanted to know if I wanted to bypass the 4GB memory and not have a Microsoft Account. I have a Microsoft account so I unclicked the boxes and installed Windows 11. The laptop had Windows 10 on it and which meant windows 11 requirements to install. Bought the laptop locally.I didn't use Rufus to download the iso file.

Corey I've been so half tempted to buy one of their 5 key Pro Licenses packages, can you explain to me how that works?
One license key is good to activate 5 computers within 30 days.

As a side note to this...Rufus will truncate long filenames when making Linux iso mages, so the installation just falls over . Rosa image writer doesn't do this.
Do you have a video allowing you to upgrade from win 7 home to win 11home with out tpm?
Win11 requires TPM. Installing without it is nothing anyone with liability would encourage.

I am using an Acer M1930. I have 16gb ram, 4tb storage. and Intels new Wifi/BT module, internet is downloads 557 Mbps and BT5 /6.
I have registered copy of Win10pro 64bit and understand I can use it to get Win11pro. But I am told my Computer will not support it... What to do? I am retired and living in Thailand with my Wife. Am I going to be left out in the cold at the mercy of as you say every Hacker on Earth?
What about all the Schools who will be in same Boat? Computer Classes that will no longer have protected systems. Will they have to drop these classes?

I do not own a crystal ball. Worrying about something 2+ years a way is not healthy or helpful. Come back and ask this question after January 2025.
If you install Windows on a so called 'non-supported' PC, will you still get Windows security updates?
if you choose to install Windows 11 on incompatible hardware, you must confirm that the upgrade will have an “unsupported state.” Microsoft defines an “unsupported state” as a device that does not meet the minimum system requirements, and as a result, it won’t be entitled to receive updates from Windows Update. Although these devices may continue to receive updates anyway, the company isn’t obligated to provide security and driver updates or technical support.
