Hey there! Welcome to booktube! I’m happy to see you here. Love that you have a focus on nonfiction and such a good mix of topics. The New Jim Crowe is a great book. I’ve got a goal this year of increasing how much nonfiction I read this year and it’s been great as I’ve ended up learning about so many different topics. Ooh yeah. On the comment end, definitely be prepared when you touch on political or social justice topics. Booktube is usually pretty friendly, but I feel like when you get into politics people sometimes get a bit hostile. I’ve subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your content soon!

Welcome to BookTube! I read The New Jim Crow a few years ago and it was very eye opening. I know it's one I want to re-read to absorb more.

It’s definitely one of those you can go back to multiple times, it has so many historical reference points it’s good to have this book in your arsenal on how the judicial system operates!

Welcome to BookTube. I'm not really a big romance reader either. Love to see some videos about historical books. I also read before going to sleep in bed. My e-reader is ideal for that, I find.
Ahhh, Napoleon Hill.... I read 'Think and Grow Rich' and some book with Success in the title. Although I think he has a lot of useful and interesting things to say, he didn't tell the entire truth in some of the stuff he wrote. I can highly recommend you watch Coffeezilla's video The Untold Truth of Napoleon Hill (Coffeezilla made a really detailed and well researched video about Napoleon Hill). Again, I'm not saying that Hill didn't have useful things to say in his books, but I find it interesting to know more about the man than just the facade he created for himself.

How do you feel about e-readers? Im contemplating getting a nook or something similar.. I’m picky about my eyesight & feel like if I go from my phone to another activity, I prefer it not to be another blue light device 😅 & I’m gonna check the video out! Usually I do my research on the authors right before I do a book review (which I haven’t yet for Napoleon) so I haven’t heard too much about him, but his book def has inspiring words regardless of how he lived his life!
