Thanks for the reviews on some more cool bits of kit - love the LED light - gonna fetch one of those this week. It's gonna fit nicely in my NYA-EVO 60C RCI. Cheers, Bruce.

With the magnetic cords I just use one of those Velcro zip ties for a dime or so and if I need two it's all good...works great! The power supply thing at our house is a house generator that kicks on when needed and there is no interruption in power at all. We got the generator because our power was going off way too many times and now it doesn't. I have seen a couple of those lights, but this one looks pretty cool...Thanks for sharing...Peace.

Yeah, I've used Red Whips for years and still do for all my cables. They're wonderful, but these cords are truely fabulous, neat and simple. Perfect for travel. You'd have to try them to see how nice. The light makes me smile every time I use it. It's just fantastic. Yep as long as there is no interrupt the generator is a great solution. With a big NAS, you really need to protect against even a second's power interruption. The USB integration between the UPS and the NAS is a really nice touch. Spool down and shut off safely with no user input is a great feature.

I love that small light! What is that black round thing hanging at your monitor behind you?

It's a Dell 4k Webcam with a hood to flag the studio lights.

Thanks for the tip on this wonderful light but I could not find a link so I had to go Amazon direct to buy it since I was considering a Rotolight -this a lot cheaper

I’m going to order the travel charger, BUT you mentioned a power bank that you recommend for the Z9….can you provide a link to the video, product, or tell me which one it is? Thanks!

Thanks, Hudson. FWIW for many years I used such a power supply for my NAS. Unfortunately the battery in these devices has a finite life, so the unit or their batteries must be replaced from time to time. I tired of this and my simple solution is to spin down my NAS with an expected storm. Good policy to protect from surges even if there is protection. Of course does not protect against a telephone pole collision, but that is a black swan event IMHO.

Oh it happens from time to time. These aren't that expensive and should absolutely be kept running at all times with a NAS. If it's reorganizing the data across disks when it goes... Not even worth risking.
