- The ship Mohegan was run aground in 1898 with the loss of 106 souls. Do some of these spirits still linger on the sunken ship below the waves as divers to the wreck claim? And a terrible true ghostly tale of cannibalism and murder on the high seas...
Great job on the video. Ship Mohegan is one of the enduring mysteries of British maritime history.
The sound/music on this video are so incredibly eerie and I love how you put together various video clips as you do to fit the text.
Thank you, GW!
Your videos are always suitably atmospheric and superbly well-told; I look forward to your next one.
Wow, what a grisly and haunting tale! Very interesting, and well presented. Your videos are great!!
Wow........thats going to the faves lol. Thank you for taking the time to post up things like this.
Great video!
Excellently done, thanks for a chilling moment!
I was so upset before I watched this. Something about the ambiance and the story just set my mood right.
If there had been ratings enabled I surly would have voted favorably. Nice bit of editing on this one. Please keep maintaining your level of excellence. As for those who scoff I say let them. For often such things stand as a testimony of how strange and unusual our world can be which often defies rational thinking.
Thanks for the tale GW, always love your videos. Best channel on you tube. You should move to TV and have a channel of your own there! xx
Wow nice. the first story sounded like the Fritzgerald that sunk in Lake Superior many years ago. They still say they can hear people in the ship sometimes.
Excellent video, please load another soon!
thanks for sharing..this was fascinating....wish it was longer...:)
You are great. Thanks for video.Last Story was interesting and scary.
I love watching your videos they're always soooo creepy, love them!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome story very entertaining. Thumbs up.
magnificent vid I always look forward to your posts!
Classy and eerie as always from this perennial RUclips favourite....and proving once again that the veil between this world and the next draws very fine in CORNWALL.
Just one little thing: I think you meant to write "where" instead of "were"...you'll kick yourself, I know I would.
Keep up the good work
I love your videos. I always learn something.
Fantastic story and video! The story would make a great feature film i reckon :)
I've heard the second story a few times before. Another good vid though. Thanks GW.
Love the video, thanks for the history.
Thanks GW!
Keep em coming!:)
Thank you for this. Peace out!
once more great work
You must be the only person in ,my entire life who has recognized that symbol, Cheers.
creepy nice ,,,love it klaude
Have a look on youtube for " the wreck of the royal charter" Wales worst ship wreck disaster. 1859 four hundred and fifty people drowned of the Anglesy coast.Dont know about ghosts but its a good story. Apparently the ship was carrying vast amounts of gold from Australia most of it was never recovered!
very nice, and very spooky!
i live on an island , and back in the olden days, they would salvage off the wreaks. boy oh boy, i bet there is alot of haunted stuff in the attics of this island (chincoteague va. usa)
Cool!! Thanks GW!
I have a nack of watching things that are as creepy as hell when I am all alone in my house.
Cool video!
Suddenly my beef burgers dont look so appetizing, great video btw :)
good stuff! I figured i'd share my own paranormal experience in gratitude.
i got up from my desk and stared out the window, and i saw a transparent figure identical to me on the other side.
reflection, or ghost?
YOU DECIDE!
Nice very interesting.
Well done!
Nice your Samedi vampire icon. ^^
Very cool and yes, creepy!
damn.. this is very interesting.. is there a movie for this??
@wyldfox2007 It wasn't that long ago, it was in the 1970's, I believe. The Edmond Fitzgerald was a commercial vessel, possibly fishing, when a freak storm hit & all hands were lost.
Interesting video, I wonder if any of that was down to paranormal activity.
Could you give us a list of all the movie clips you used?
Love it.
@schizoidboy I've since read more about it & you're right. Some postulated that the the weight of the cargo was more than the ship could handle & may have lead to it's fast sinking.
@catlover75 Yeah, I couldn't help thinking about the Titanic, either. It's a bit cold and deep to go diving way down there.
Sounds a bit like a case of the stone tape theory ,they dies there so they repeat their last moments in the exact spot ...even if that happens to be below the waves
@chaosfive55 you're right!! I was thinking "Woman in Black" as well!!! :>! creepy !!!
Reminds me slightly of the story "The Vault" by H.P Lovecraft.
always entertaining.
Creepy!
Sapphire and Steel have been assigned !
cool
@mmedefarge I believe it hauled iron ore.
how did you get the actual footage?
@mmedefarge I know the story of the Fitzgerald all to well. I lived in that area, grew up in it. I know the story all to well. But stories can be 100% true or 100% false. I also remember saying that it sounded like, meaning I have made a comparison. both sunk with people on it, there where many deaths. Besides, the comparison was not on the overall story, it was on the fact of ghosts haunting under a large body of water.
what happened to the last man?!
scary
Wow if this is true there most be thousands of ghosts swimming round the rocks of the british isles. Next time Im swimming down Wales and a victorian in a top hat swims past I'll know what he is !
