Recently bought some recommended stocks and now they are just penny stocks. There seems to be more negative portfolios in the last 3rd half of 2023 with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. My concern is how can the rapid interest-rate hike be of favor to a value investor, or is it better avoiding stocks for a while?

Just ''buy the dip'' man. In the long term it will payoff. High interest rates usually mean lower stock prices, however investors should be cautious of the bull run, its best you connect with a well-qualified adviser to meet your growth goals and avoid blunder

The truth is that this is really not as difficult as many people presume it to be. It requires a certain level of diligence, no doubt, which is something ordinary investors lack, and so a financial advisor often comes in very handy. My friend just pulled in more than $84k last month alone from his investment with his advisor. That is how people are able to make such huge profits in the market

I appreciate this share. I set up a call with her and I am keen on getting to talk to her particularly. Lady looks really great though even with the exams and other stuff.

Why didn't the camera change to show the person who was talking? Instead we look at a bobbing head....

So if it's a stock purchase, will it be a 1:1 stock purchase or will it be a split stock purchase?

So what about a company like Lumiradx & a complex deal with Roche? I've done all the DD here and Lumiradx isn't being completely bought out. I don't even think the device marketed is being acquired. Seems like a bunch of confusion with what Roche is receiving vs what Lumiradx will still hold. If we get a rhhby conversion rate do short shares convert as well? 😂

question that is maybe too technical for the ETF peoples.
if you have a company that gets a buy out offer, is there any way you could
    1. Sell the stock from a brokerage acct, then
    2. purchase some pointless and cheap options to buy the same amount of stonk as far as possible in the future, potentially past the buyout date
    3. have that sale count as a wash sale and basically defer it onto next years taxes if the timing and option expiration date works out?
I guess thats just a bit too confusing to me coz shouldnt the options just dissapear as soon as the stock is bought out? but then you havent executed those options and I feel like youve got some trivial amount of money "tied up" that is maybe not even able to be access or recognized by the investment platform ur using?
to me it seems very likely that if you got a lotta stock that uve owned for 1+ year and the company gets bought out for cash, this technicality might help a lot of people avoid extra tax and split that say 80$ Long term cap gains tax into 2x 40k$ long term cap gains bills. thats a difference of ~$6k...
edit: forgot wash sale deferrals only work when you sell stuff at a net loss...I am sure there is some way to make this cookie stretch though... maybe take out leverage with that account or something... hmm. owell, might work if you get caught holding the bag

I do not hold a special place in my heart for any company. I do not fall in love with companies. I fall in love with setups on charts even if there is no news. I will dump a company in two seconds if they close below the EMA8. Easy decision.
