Meravigliosa cornice, splendida voce (con una nuance rauca che piace), gran bella presenza scenica, ottimi strumentisti: bravi! Ancora di questi brani!
Aww, that is such a beautiful memory! I always wanted to use these videos to show off Knoxville a bit too. Unfortunately, we have had to record the latest releases at home because of the Covid game. Glad this video could bring us together! Maybe we will see you at a Knoxville show sometime?
Question. I see these live sessions that sound like studio version all the time. My live sessions do not when recorded. How do these people get that studio sound? Recording software?
@@leftyleeman yes sir. I have something called Jamzone. Many live performers use it. I’m a one man show, but stopped my subscription. Jamzone allows you to add an instrument or remove one. I just don’t know how these people get the studio sound out of a live performance. Two different things. They obviously run it through software. Some record the song then play it for video. Just wondering.
Hey there! Great questions and more than happy to explain. Especially for this video! This was filmed on a riverboat on a windy Tennessee day. So lots of variable to deal with when it comes to audio and video. We captured multiple takes that day as we only had one camera man and I was running all the microphones while also performing the acoustic guitar/background vocals. Due to random sounds and other factors when being outside, the audio you are hearing is comped together from multiple takes and is the reason the video doesn't line up perfectly at times... We tried to perform it the exact same for each take but we are human. So you are seeing multiple video and audio takes put together. As for the bass, we had someone scheduled for the day but they ended up not being able to make it. And what is a country tune without a little 1-5 low end pushing that groove? So, I added the bass after the fact and must have gotten a little excited and put some organ in there as well during the clean up! Hope that helps!
A bit fake. The sound of a bass guitar can also be heard in the song, but it is not visible in the picture. Towards the end of the piece, the sound of the hammond organ is heard, which is not in the picture
Hey there! Thanks for taking a moment to check out the video. More than happy to share a bit of "behind the scenes" info for you. But I definitely wouldn't consider this "fake". Regardless, we wanted to capture our rendition of this classic country tune and share it while also showing off our hometown here on the Tennessee River! I reckon we managed to pull that off in a real way, if you ask me.
Austin, what about this arrangement pulls it out of the country realm for you? I thought we did a good job of rooting it in the classic country vibes! Let me know. I am truly interested. What genre would you place this cover in? Thanks for the comment!
Travis Bigwood Hi there Travis! Since Austin didn’t reply I figured I could share my opinion since you seemed eager for some constructive critisism! First of all you seem to have a good thing going on and you all seem very good at your craft! However, if you seek to emulate the good ol’ country vibe I believe there are a few things that could be changed to fit the genre better. The key word is emotion. Listen to Hank Williams, his vocals were rarely in ”perfect pitch”, but they weren’t supposed to be either. The most important thing was to create a sense of sorrow. You might not need to go full Hank Williams, but in all honesty, I didn’t feel much when I heard you perform this song, so if you’d find a way to add this ingredient, it would be ”real country” to me. Ideas on how this could be done could be to do less of the ”showboating” with the vocal riffs and give more thought to what the lyrics actually say. Also, if you haven’t already, I’d suggest to listen to Anita Carters version of this song here on RUclips. She has a very simple approach but it is so beautiful. In the end music is all about taste, and although I didn’t enjoy this version of the song I am sure a lot of people did since you are all good musicians! Best regards - David
Enjoyed this very much!
Im always impressed to see such discipline, restraint and subtlety, especially in younger musicians. This bunch definitely "gets it"!!
just fantastic
Love Travis Bigwood's voice- but Aubrey steals the show with one of the best covers of Your Cheatin' Heart.
Hey, I completely agree! I still love performing this tune because Aubrey knocks it out of the park every time.
Thanks for the comment, brother!

I can hear a bass but no bass player?
