------------Soundtrack Information -------------------------------------------------
Released in December 19, 2001 by Scitron Digital Content
Main compositors: Testukazu Nakanishi and Hiroshi Okubo
------------Track Information----------------------------------------------------------
Composed and arranged by Tetsukazu Nakanishi. This plays during the first half of the 12th mission, Stonehenge Offensive, until the Mission Update when it is replaced by "Aquila". Quite obviously, this is considered to be the theme of the Stonehenge Turret Network.
AC04- Mission 12: Stonehenge Offensive
AC7- Mission 12: Stonehenge Defensive
:)
Arsenalbird:"Why do i hear Boss Music?"
AB: ‘Incoming from Stonehenge! All drones descend below 2000ft!’
MQ-101: ‘2000ft? What do they expect us to do? Fly through the mountain?’
The intro cutscene of Stonehenge firing was absolutely epic.
We just attacked stonehenge 15 years ago and come 2019 now we are protecting it!
As soon as I heard the music the nostalgia hit me so hard lol, love how it's a remix of this song
Ace Combat sure dose love 15 years ago.
That's what makes Ace combat epic
Well, if you're really feeling it, try doing 'Stonehenge Defensive' with an F-22 using the Mobius One DLC skin in Ace Combat 7. It could feel like AC04 all over again.
"15 years ago... There was a cannon."
"Stonehenge is responsible for the loss of many aces."
And now 15 years on the destruction of the Arsenal Bird "Liberty".

"You're all cleared to engage."

@@edwardfitzpatrick3168 Lmao
@@edwardfitzpatrick3168 i understand you, chose the A-10 to Stonehenge in 2nd playthrough, destroyed the jammer and it was wasier, but the 1st one, that was complicated.
since i used OPL to run it, i didn't had the cutscene to tell me about the jammer in the middle, so while i kept using the default aircraft, i did a crazy strategy:
destroying each part of Stonehenge only by: speeding up head-on, firing missiles without locking on, and pulling at the last second because of the SAM's firing at me, took 2-3 tries but i won haha

AWACS: Mobius 1, shoot down all cannons except the one that's inoperable.
Mobius 1: Why except the inoperable one? What if they re-activate it in the future?
AWACS: Damn it, Mobius 1, just carry out your orders!
X'D
... And in AC7, Project Aces (The game development team responsible for the franchise) did reactivate the broken gun :P (though not in an expected way)
@@josephsu1636 Thanks, Captain Obvious. I got spoiled on that one already.
Joke aside, there's no reason to take down the inoperable cannon. The mission was already expected to be extremely dangerous, going for an additional cannon that couldn't fire wasn't worth the risk.

Eject Yellow Four... Thirteen here, did anyone see four get out?
*Yellow Four's plane explodes*
Do you know how fucked Osea would be if ISAF decided to destroy the 8th cannon?
I love the fact that they remixed this track for the Stonehenge defense mission in 7. Got hit right in the nostalgia with that one.
*Mission 12. But oh yes. Definitely hit right in the feels with that one.
@@MGSDude01 he used the "7" to refer to ace combat 7

> - Friend.
when I first played this mission. I used an A10 and flew in formation. Once those trumpets at 1:15 kicked in and we slowly started to see the guns, I knew that shit was about to hit the fan.
I used an A10 for any mission where it looked like you'd have to hit ground targets
i used the A10 only in my 2nd playthrough, the 1st one was full on default aircraft
Also shoutout to that one plane that was literally in the middle of refueling when we were seconds away from the combat zone
Mobius 1: Skyeye, this is Mobius 1.
Do you think it wise to do aerial refueling 10 miles away from the most advanced anti-aircraft facility on the planet several thousand feet up?
Skyeye: Incoming from Stonehenge! All aircraft, hit the deck!
0:23 When the first airburst shot from Stonehenge goes off.
0:35 When Stonehenge comes into visual range.
Mobius 1, engage.
Anyone else find it strange that no matter what plane you shot down, it was always Yellow 4, shoot down the left most plane, shot down Yellow 4, the second to left, still, Yellow 4, the center, second to right or right most, always Yellow 4, it might just be me, but I think it'd be cool that if you shot down a certain plane, it was a different member of the Yellow Squadron, and the following storyline would change depending on which member you shot down
+MarchingBrony that would be cool
that's why they need to come out with an HD remake for 4 5 and zero
+Carl brutananadelewski a remake where we can play the both sides with unofficiel end if the "bad" side win.
Or maybe just one different path if we didn't shoot Yellow 4. Maybe in Farbanti we'd have to fight both her and Yellow 13 if we didn't kill her at Stonehenge. Or maybe we'd have to fight her in the final mission at Megalith after shooting down Yellow 13 in the last mission.
@@philthephilosopher9235 This, I could appreciate and support this
Some say he thinks gravity is just a theory; and that very recently, and for reasons unknown, he developed a keen, psychotic and irrational hatred of Strike Witch Perrine H. Clostermann.
All we know is, he's called Mobius 1.
Love this Comment good reference man!
After an hour of contemplation and research, I still have no idea how this relates to me.
+Mobius 1 "Reasons unknown", indeed. I know both franchises in play here, and *I'm* still confused. Some detail is lost here.
If any Strike Witches would have some semblance of a rivalry with you, it would be Erica Hartmann or Hanna-Justina Marseille, who Yellow 13 shares commonality with in referencing certain WWII pilots.
Cloistermann was born in Amazonas, which is the Witches world analogue of Brazil, which in turn is the home of former F1 driver Rubens Barrichello.
Cloistermann and Mobius 1 are warriors of the sky. In a manner of speaking, they're both tame combat pilots.
xof49 Honestly, when it comes to going from rookie to ace in a short amount of time, I'd say Yoshika, new recruit suddenly becomes a Sergeant... God damn! That was fast!
《Dont be a hero, survival is paramount!》
later
《You'll be a hero just for staying alive!》
?????
I never realized they said that thanks for pointing that out.
people aren't always consistent.
I think he was just trying to say “Don’t die like an idiot”.
Imo he’s trying to say:
"That's a confirmed kill on a Yellow. It's a complete victory for the good guys."
*"dont get mesmerized by size"*
I think I remember leaving the jammer up when I played this mission for the first time, just for the thrill.
+Fhuj I didn't even know you could destroy the jammer at first. I beat the mission 5 times without ever destroying the jammer. I just strafed the guns with my machine gun. It was only when I accidently released a bomb while flying right over it that I figured out it could be destroyed
Bombs work better anyway.
*When ace mode isn’t challenging enough*
*KEEP THOSE MACHINE GUNS BLAZING*
Lol this is why we listen to briefings
You know, i just heard this theme in full detail since hearing both "Stonehenge Defensive" and "Dragon's Breath" (and loving the tracks and playing them on repeat) ... i now notice the subtleties between the three.
Using this track as a baseline, the beginning of Stonehenge Defensive has the same disastrous and chaotic tempo, but it doesnt have any of the clangs or hard percussionist slams that this one does. But in Dragon's Breath, those clangs and true mighty tempo of Stonehenge returns, as the last surviving Cannon begins to exercise its might upon the skies one last time!
But the synths seem muted; the drums smaller, the slams dictating the beginning & end of 4-counts less flinch-inducing and terrifying. The Ace Combat 7 theme begins to intermingle with it, and the suspense reaches epic levels in "Tail Man" -- you can feel the might of two superweapons mustering against each other, but all the while much is missing, and it doesnt seem like this menacing tone of a retro boss fight of devastating proportions...
... how many turrets are active in the Stonehenge Offensive? SIX!
... how many remain during the Stonehenge Defensive? .... one.
A lot of love, reflection and nostalgia communicated between these 4 tracks. Project Aces really knew what they were doing.
In a way, Stonehenge is the first Arsenal Bird. As Nagasaki said “Your mission has been distorted by human treachery! Your days in the air are over!”
Twas once a weapon used to shield the Usean continent and then become a weapon of mass destruction in the wrong hands.
"No one knows who they were, or...what they were doing.
But their legacy remains. Hewn into the living rock.....Of Stonehenge".
*Watching movie Armageddon*
"We have to destroy the asteroid by nuking it from within it's core!"
Why didn't they just build an array of anti-asteroid railguns and have multiple wars over them on the future?

Ace Combat 4: The Musical
Legendary ost. I'm happy that you have to protect stonehenge this time. Epic music for an epic super weapon, in a epic game.
Giant 8 Turrets of Railgun shot to demolish asteroid, then became weapon of mass-destruction, and then rebuild for one more last defense to that Giant Arsenal Bird!
This is also the reveal trailer music for Ace Combat Infinity
considering the new special raid missions in Infinity involve stonehenge, i came back to listen to this. Im just pissed off that i was ABOUT to do the second version of it for the first time... when the fking asshole of a room owner decided to kick everyone out
Quit crying, yo could be like me and get booted half-way through because the "connection with the host was lost" or so they say
ill cry if i want, now gimme ur shirt, i need to blow my nose into something
Lol, well AC:I has stopped working on me altogether now...we could play AC6 if you prefer :)
***** You guys have AC6? I've been looking for someone to play that game with. My only other friend that has it is away.
***** i had this issue and an ethernet cable fixed it completely, and you can get a 15 foot one for like $10
At this point a remaster of this 5 and zero would make millions
They better release a remix for this in Skies Unknown....
They fucking did and it is incredible. Mission 12 of skies unknown was just constant orgasming.
Yep, Stonehenge defensive... as opposed to Stonehenge offensive
They didn’t disappoint!! 😁
Here we are in 2023 and im still trying to relive the vibes of first encountering and destroying stonehenge
I've been listening to this off and on for about a decade now, and now I have the honor of being the 1000th like! :)
I got happy as fuck when I realized that the soundtrack in AC7 sounded similar to this one. Shit had me flying crazy and blowing shit to hell. Fuck arsenal birds!!
Gonna need an actual Stonehenge soon after all of these close flybys of asteroids
look at mobius 1 go is grabbing all the glory
well not ALL the glory look at 7
Don't worry, our aces are faster than they are; you are all cleared to engage!!
stonehenge offensive with no comments, come on guys
"Incoming from Stonehenge! All aircraft descend to lower altitude."
One of the best masterpiece from the PS2 golden age.
One time i wanted to see if i get shot down if i didnt fly low in this mission so i flew above to see what happened nd nothing happened to me. I even flew directly upward until i stall out nd still didnt get shot down. Only on this mission though
Funnily enough, occasionally I get shot down by Stonehenge when I'm low-altitude strafe-bombing XD
If you fly in the trajectory of the cannons when they're firing though, you'll die instantly. (Duh)
I suppose it doesn't help that I'm right in front of the cannon when it fires.
WonkyTonkBotty That happened to me once. XD
Hell, one time I was dogfighting above stonehenge and one of their shots took me and their freindly plane down XD. This guys really were not kidding when they said they didn't cared for friendly fire.
Whoa....this is better than the remix from Infinity
Yeah but Stonehenge in Ace Combat Infinity is massive
I actually really like the remix. It matches the intensity of the fight. It wouldn't work in a mission like this
A Yellows hit and trailing smoke, whos kill was that?!?!
That's Shattered Skies
My first time I managed to shoot down Yellow 4 in a joust maneuver and it ended in seconds. Felt pretty unceremonious.
"It's the reaper shoot him down!!!!!"
that intro though xD i liek it as f***
Better than Defensive
*RIP Yellow 4*
I love how "apocalyptic" it sounds, plus all the weight and the importance of the Stonehenge for the lore and how the game emphasizes how dangerous of an abomination this thing is
Everything changed when the Stonehenge attacked.
So epic.
THIS THING IS HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE
This is so much better than Stonehenge Defensive...
This one sounds faster because it's Stonehenge Offensive while AC7's is slower because it's Stonehenge Defensive.
