Is really impressive how this reporter doesn’t understand this movie.
The man!!
Charlie Rose should of been a sports reporter.
Love this interview.... I was very excited for the Sony remaster of the original film just released! I wrote and edited a new trailer to celebrate this terrific 4K reissue for both Chinese and English speaking audiences on my channel if you'd like to check it out! Either way go see the reissue on the big screen, it's fantastic.
@21:42 Little did he know it was going to be released in 4k and we'd have 85" OLED tv's where the film itself would be the bottleneck
He's referencing the photography quality of celluloid versus digital, not resolution. Most filmmakers today would accept that cameras like the ARRI invokes the celluloid look although still no it
Is ang Lee the one who played hop sing on bonanza?
Are you an infantilizing racist?

Back to watch this interview in 2019, this interview was actually full of lotta racist questions. I mean the way the host asked makes me feel uncomfortable.
What the hell are you talking about? I didn't hear a single "racist" question. Must be a democrat.
I see what you're saying chan.
I would have to agree. He is belittling him it would seem. He asks standard sounding questions, but shows little interest, and can appear dismissive of his answers when they go against his expectations. I think overall he didn’t care for who he was interviewing, which is crazy considering Ang Lee’s filmography and what he would continue to achieve after this.
@@digitaldazzle5836 Must be that you hear with an accent.
@@haikat4 Thank you for the racist comment.
