The appearance day of Srila Prabhupada, the founder-acharya of the worldwide Hare Krishna Movement is celebrated as Vyasa Puja. ŚrīlaPrabhupāda was born in 1896 on the day of Nandotsava (the next day of Janmashtami).
The Vedas originate from the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna. Lord Sri Krishna imparted the Vedic knowledge to Lord Brahma, the creator of this universe. Brahma instructed his son Nārada, who in turn gave this knowledge to Vyāsadeva.
A bona fide spiritual master coming in this line of succession descending from Vyāsadeva is considered a representative of Vyāsa.
Srila Prabhupada is the 32nd acharya in this disciplic succession and his disciples observe his appearance day as Vyāsa Puja. This year, 126th Vyāsa Puja will be celebrated on Sat 20 Aug 2022.
Devotees can express their affectionate glorification to Srila Prabhupada in writing and offer them to him on the auspicious occasion of his appearance day. The Vyasa-puja offering is a literary submission of praise and gratitude to a pure Vaishnava Spiritual Master.
After that, a book called the VYASA PUJA 2022 will be compiled with all the offerings received from devotees from all our different centers across the globe.
The last date for submission of your offering letter is Sunday 10 July 2022.
