Thank you for releasing the Director's Commentary episodes, I really enjoyed listening to/watching them. Not only for your very interesting insight, but also for the pleasure of revisiting this delightful short series. Episode 5 has to undoubtedly be my favourite episode - while Episode 4 is where everything finally ends up in the same pot, 5 is the one where it all boils over. And I must say credit is due also to Bryan Ricker, those last few seconds alone were so so powerful for 'just a looker' in part thanks to the heavy punch of the music.
That's not to detract from all the actors' excellent performances, and everyone else on the production team including yourselves. I don't know if it's game over now but I wish you the best of luck getting a second season, I would truly love to see it.
p.s. I'm sure the Inception comparisons must be tiresome but it's an endearing similarity to me. The beach being compared to Limbo is an obvious one, but the Commentary reminded me of two more- the possibility of (Vera's) subconscious 'invading', and of 'planting ideas' at the dream level which take control. I still think most of Inceptions ideas were not fully explored, so I would love to see more of any of these (in addition to all your other ideas).
The thing I didn't notice until watching the Commentary was that only a select few are connected to share dreams - and this reminded me of Sense8. Ultimately I think your show's S1 is a lot better than theirs, regardless of the runtime.
+Prince R Thanks for checking them all out! We were hoping fans would get something out of them. And there certainly many Inception comparisons to be made, and we love that movie, so we don't mind too much :)
I still haven't seen Sense8, but Alex has and he said he defintely thought there were some similarities. We'll keep trying to figure out a season two and keep everyone updated!
