In October 2021 Danny Santulli was left with a severe brain injury. He can no longer see, talk or walk. Two of the former fraternity members have felony charges filled against them. I can’t believe these kids just got a slap on the wrist. It is truly heartbreaking.
This happened at LSU years ago, as it has at many universities, and you can't blame the victim because the peer pressure is so intense and the other guys just think it's funny when the victim becomes disorientated and then unconscious.
I tried the frat thing in Iowa city year 2011. They made us drink entire bottle of liquor I’m 140 pounds but have been drinking with my older r brother in Madison for years so I have some familiarity. When I went to the bathroom I poured about half the bottle out and then proceeded to get roasted by the frat guys. I never hung out with them again and if I drank that entire bottle of alcohol it could’ve ended badly. Thank goodness my parents allowed/introduced me to alcohol in a safe way and wasn’t pressured. It hurts me to hear this story
Ikr, the purpose of college is to get an education, I have 3 adult sons! My friend, when her daughter went to U of I, Champagne, they said ! You’re here for 1 purpose , only ! SMH
That's the part everyone is too sensitive to admit. When I was in school I definitely saw people who could've died. They were not peer pressured they chose to drink way more than everyone else. The peer pressure to drink is maybe a few drinking games or sharing a bottle with a few brothers. There is always the one who pushes it either older or a younger brother and they did it to themselves. Then when they end up dead the parents act like their little angel was forced to kill themselves which is utter nonsense. Their kid was a bomb waiting to go off and couldn't handle the freedoms of college. It happens to many people who are not in fraternity's but of course the frats get all the news coverage. Plenty of kids not in Greek life die the same way and it never is seen on the news.
Thank you for bringing this topic back to the fray. It is so necessary. They think they’re bulletproof and above the law. It starts with the parents and continues with the company you keep. Bad company corrupts good morals (or will get you killed). Better watch who you hang around.
My question is why don’t universities do anything about it? Like hello? U know these kids are doing this and they basically turn a blind eye and have been turning a blind eye for YEARS! I mean aren’t they there for the students? Yes I get they are 18 but still under the legal age of drinking and still not fully mentally developed.
the change that needs to be MADE IS teach your child-they dont have to do stupid or illegal things to be part of a group and if they tell you THAT YOU HAVE TO OR YOU WILL NOT BE PART OF THE GROUP - to then GO YOUR OWN WAY AND MAYBE START YOUR OWN GROUP! OTHERWISE YOU MAY END UP A VEGETABLE OR DEAD DEAD DEAD! teach the children the right way in which they should go.
Danny Santulli has a "life" sentence that pales in comparison to the punishment his frat bros. may get. In the end...parents and students...wake up and don't let this happen to you!
It is about time they start charging and sentencing of these hazing for someone to become a member..Stupid crap in the Frats leads to very bad effect and too many die/get injured and the concequences of hazing leaves behind a lifetime of missery for students/parents/communities.
I am not sure what the law in that state would say about personal liability or personal culpability. However, peer pressure is toxic. I am wondering how a jury would view this? If the young man was already drunk and someone came along and forced him to drink, then I am thinking someone may be liable. If he voluntarily drank then the jury may not be sympathetic? I really do not know. 🤔❤🇺🇸
I understand what he's saying but I'm sorry you can't prosecute this the same as somebody shooting someone else. Ultimately this kid chose to be there and drink. These kids are not angels. They couldn't handle the freedom of college. I know many people who went to these events and acted normal and drank normal amounts. I also knew many younger and older brothers who pushed it to the limits every time and I'm sorry but I find it hard to believe these kids are victims. More than likely they were the ones who didn't know how to stop and continued to push the boundaries. I never once saw anyone be forced to drink against there will. However, many times I saw a younger kid drinking way to much and even when confronted they kept drinking because their parents didn't teach them any discipline at all to prepare them for the freedoms of college.
It never ends. Decade after decade the same news story. The same lip service from universities. The same meathead, jock mentality from frat boys. Ho hum.
Why do we have to hear about another hazing alcohol death. Use some common sense. My deepest condolences to to his family and friends. 🙏♥️ prayers for strength and peace of mind.
I think along with these guys the administration sld be held accountable and the alumni bc these guys prob went thru the same hazing themselves. They learned it from somewhere and like Stone told his mom that's the way all frats are! The administration has to know this is going on.
The change come from the individual, he has a problem! Why you have to drink? You don’t have to be in a fraternity! What does alcohol have to do with any service or anything ? Sorry for your condolence, I went to college! I saw how my roommate had to iron, do their laundry, do this that @ 2 am , smh! I was busy going to school and worked 15 min after class ! That is purpose of going to college!

Pictures of the hazing victims should be displayed at every frat house reminding everyone how dangerous it could be
Can’t even think how the parents felt when they learned that he was left to die.
Hard to understand why this still happens.
Immediate Expulsion would solve 99% of Hazing. You will always have the 1% I d I o t!
Because there are few consequences for such behavior.
@@bluemoon2675 ,
Oh for sure but the mindset is skewed to do this shit.
@@mickeyandres2651 not sure I understand what you mean. ?
@@mickeyandres2651 Thanks. Yes that's true. "Victims" bear their share of responsibility for their behavior. Universities too.

Horrific! 💔 That poor mother I cannot imagine.
What a great lawyer! Thank you, David!
this happens over and over and over again. slaps on the wrist will never elicit change.
Stupid society we live in
These Universities are also responsible
Ridiculous
Did she really just ask if less then a month in jail is enough to deter future hazing deaths ? 🤣
Good looking young man. Such a loss!
when do the kids themselves bear any responsibilities in these deaths.
nobody is "required" to ever do shit.
Ikr, the purpose of college is to get an education, I have 3 adult sons! My friend, when her daughter went to U of I, Champagne, they said ! You’re here for 1 purpose , only ! SMH
Was Stone forced to drink? Where does behavior come in to play?
Sad situation all around but the kid who died is just as responsible as anyone else.

They should go to jail and see what it’s like

Oh my goodness this is so terrible! I am glad they are shedding light on this alarming activity! My deepest condolences to Stone's family and friends!

Who bought the alcohol?
Bingo!
NOBODY should cave to peer pressure to do crazy things that can cause your death... it is just plain stupid.
Sorry for your loss
They all need to be in jail
Prison not jail they need decades in prison not weeks in jail
So DISGUSTING! I don't understand the culture around the consumption of alcohol.
What’s wrong with universities??? These kids need to be sentenced for much longer. 3.9 alcohol level??? My God. How awful.
Terrible 😢

they should make alcohol prohibited

I'm surprised people I'm not talking about the 24/7 crime in Chicago and other large cities
Disgusting
Why does this keep happening over and over??? I don't understand it. Kids are dying!
Smart enough to get into college, but not smart enough to know drinking a liter of alcohol can cause death (or worse...Danny Santulli).
You walk away from fraternity, you don’t have to drink to join.
Those College kids don’t care All they care about is a good time
💔💔💔💔💔💔

Zero tolerance

I'm so sorry that this happened to you. Sorry friends hate so badly? Not funny. I hope you recover fully, Young Man.
.5 is half the liquid in u being alcohol...holy fuck

Maybe if the powers at be didn’t promote drinking in everything college students watch this stuff wouldn’t happen.
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord
If, and only if, you have come to Him by grace through faith in this life, and are trusting Him to save you.
An eye for an eye. That's all I'd accept.
is this frat culture only in usa?
I think along with these guys the administration sld be held accountable and the alumni bc these guys prob went thru the same hazing themselves. They learned it from somewhere and like Stone told his mom that's the way all frats are! The administration has to know this is going on.
Yea get back to me when the sentencing for r4pe and child abuse is stronger too
💔
Not gonna happen
Been going on forever
Stone got Stonnned
Bland
Troll.
