    Regarding to the national health insurance, everyone has to pay it. For those who is employed pays less than unemployed because his/her employer pays the main portion of it in terms of percentage of insured amount( the so-called insured amount has nothing to do with your benefit, but only relates to income). And the amount paid by emplyee is withheld/deducted from salary by employer. That's why you think the emplyee doesn't need to pay it.

    • @OverTheSeas
      @OverTheSeas  2 года назад +1

      Yes, that is true. In most of the cases, you pay 50% of insurance amount deducted from salary and the other 50% is paid by the employer. It's like PF.

    A lot of hi-tecs companies in Taiwan like to hire Indian, if you want to work for them, you could try to contact these companies directly, like tsmc, Asus, Acer, and a lot of chips design companies. Check their website and sent your resumes in English. Some companies only use English in working. The best way to land a job in Taiwan is to apply a school to study and apply for job application after got degree, master degree is better choice. most schools will offer support for graduate school for foreigner students.

    I have heard that there is serious problem of typhoon and earthquake in taiwan
    So have you faced any trouble due to it??

    • @OverTheSeas
      @OverTheSeas  2 года назад

      There are typhoons and earthquakes, we won't deny that. Typhoons are generally in the summer months and the cruise/ferry service is effected by it. And if it rains heavily inside the island, the companies will declare a holiday or ask the employees to work from home if that's possible. We never saw any other problems in the cities related to typhoons till now. Coming to the earthquakes, we have experienced them multiple times. They are always low density quakes, just the building sway a bit, just like the trees do, when there is heavy wind. Bed or couch you sit on vibrates a bit. Nothing much happens apart from this. People who live here stop for a few seconds when something like this happens and continue their daily life. Also, the buildings here are constructed in such a way that no earthquake can destroy them. They say that once in 100 years an earthquake of high density happens, but that may happen in any part of the world.

    Is taiwan safe in terms of earthquake? Since its highly earthquake prone? Also if i want to move to Taiwan with my 4 year old kid then how is the education system there? Do they provide education in English?

    • @OverTheSeas
      @OverTheSeas  Год назад

      Regarding earthquakes, the construction is done in such a way that the buildings stay strong against them. Also, the intensity is very low. We have been here for 5 years and have seen 10+ earthquakes. There is nothing to fear, absolutely.
      Coming to the studies part, if you want to stay here for a long period, then it's better if you admit your kid in government schools. They provide good quality education in Chinese with English as one of the subjects.
      But if you are staying here for a few years and wish to go back to India or somewhere else, it's better to admit him in one of the international schools, where the medium of education is English and Chinese is taught as one of the subjects.

      To be able to come here on employment/work visa, you need to get a job first. Work visa is given only when you have a job offer and after the company arranges the work permit for you. You can apply for jobs first on 104.com and join facebook groups for jobs in Taiwan. Once you get the call for interview you may come here on visitors Visa. Try to find companies and via Facebook groups you can get someone refer you at their company. Because, most of the companies do not reply to job applications. All the best. 👍

      Hello! You need to apply for the admission at the University first. If you chose a national university, you get scholarship for the first year(default) except for some top universities like NTU. You can apply for scholarship for the second year, through university as it depends on your score. The university will help you to apply for the scholarship.

    Many people who already worked and lived in their initial years of carrier but now they are in there 50's of age and miss Taiwan very much and even ready to move back to Taiwan once again for couple of years to live peacefully leaving behind their current jobs, business and their grown up childrens,........we are expecting your future on this topic i.e. if they move back to Taiwan, What is their scope in Taiwan and earn money to live their lives independently and freely ( most of them are qualified engineers, MBA, professors who are fluent in English and Chinese too up to some extents and are also eligible to manage their for work permit and visa for permanent staying at their own.

    Can we open a clinic over there..?
    Or can we just open it in a small area in our house and provide it to indians staying there is that legal?

Is it recognized by Taiwan government? Could you please tell from which college you graduated from? I am consulting one of my friend, who is a doctor in Taiwan to answer your queries. Yes, we used chinese instead of Mandarin to be understood even by a layman. Also, Taiwanese and the mandarin spoken in Mainland China are not the same accents.
