Just did this for the first time today. Thanks for the video, helped quite a bit. I've always paid my mechanic for most of my work but with prices being through the roof and now that I have a garage for my vehicle I've decided to just start buying the tools as I need them and doing the job myself. This was cake work. Of course there are things I wouldn't touch on my car but things like this I'm never paying for labor again. Thanks again.
I DO know what elbow grease is: when I was a little kid, my dad said to use a little elbow grease. I replied that we "didn't have any". I can still hear him laughing....
Have you forgotten to set parking brake piston? You put a rotor in a way you won't be able to adjust it ever. The hole has to line up with the adjustment gear. Other than that, nice job
You just rotate the rotor… you can put the rotor on however you want and when you want to adjust the e brake you just spin the rotor until the hole lines up with the sprocket. 👍🏼
There are numerous things this guy did wrong. This is not a properly performed brake job. And at around 2:22, those are not rotor bolts. They're caliper bracket bolts.
Only thing wrong was not lining up the rotor with the e brake adjuster. He was moving fast and forgot but I don't see anything else wrong. I've done same simple mistakes when filming. Bracket bolt rotor bolt meh your being hyper critical.
GREAT JOB!! IM KINDA SHORT ON CASH……. WONDERING……….. IF I GOT THE CHEAPEST ROTOR THIS TIME…. AND THE MIDDLE PRICED CERAMIC BRAKES….. WOULD THAT DO?? I GOT 131,00O ON MY 2013 Altima 2.5 SL ONLY HAD IT A FEW MONTHS…. DONT KNOW IF THESE ROTORS ARE ORIGINAL? BUT NOTICED THE HORRIBLE GRINDING ON THE LEFT REAR YESTERDAY…. Staright and too the point I like it thank you very much
I fw u man literally a perfect video
Thanks Blake
What would you do if the caliper bracket bolts were stuck a bit?
I would spray p b blaster on the boat and let it sit for a few hours and then try again if that does not work, then he
Thank you so much for helping 🙏🏼

Haha my kids don't get it either

I did go back a fix that after the video was made
what do mean by this? is there a video explaining?
What's a parking brake piston? There's a star wheel adjuster .
You just rotate the rotor… you can put the rotor on however you want and when you want to adjust the e brake you just spin the rotor until the hole lines up with the sprocket. 👍🏼
One thing I'm unclear about is will the rear rotor come loose if its in park or the emergency brake is engaged? wouldnt it lock the rotor?
It would obviously. No e brake on for this
Good tips thank you

Sir I am just calling them that because they hold the bracket to the rotor i was just simplified a word.
Only thing wrong was not lining up the rotor with the e brake adjuster. He was moving fast and forgot but I don't see anything else wrong. I've done same simple mistakes when filming. Bracket bolt rotor bolt meh your being hyper critical.
"Numerous things", but only mentions one thing, which is simply the "misuse" of a word....
@@JuicedMooseyou just rotate the rotor. Don’t have to line it up necessarily.
To loose the bolt (left or right)
What's the spray??
Brake cleaner
Nice job thanks
Does this apply for a 2012 Altima coupe 2.5 s?
No. 2013-2018 Altima
Good man
Dont ever wait to hear your brakes grind and replace them little earlier to save you a rotor to be replaced!
GREAT JOB!!

This applies to 2013-2018 Nissan Altima. Don't know where this dude got his info from
Nice torque wrench. Feel sorry for the next guy that has to do a brake job on that car. Maybe adjust the park brake shoes.
Thank you so much for helping 🙏🏼
