The 700hp e36 should become the drift car to take serious, they have good grip and its a good chasis with alot of potential. And already cut quater panels so it just makes sense

You should really consider a Nissan D21 drift build. I think you'd have a blast doing it, it would be a refreshing change of pace and their engine swaps are immediately within your wheelhouse.
The exhaust “Jap tilt” is a thing in Japan and in other places that have jdm cars, people go out of their way to angle it to the side and up, Surprised this is the first time your seeing it
this isn't jimmy's first time building something "JDM" he has been doing this for years, of course he knows that.. That is way too much tilt, the exhaust should not be facing the side of the bumper. If he had an aero kit on the car, the exhaust wouldn't even fit the exhaust cut out. There's a difference between a "tilt" for style and something just not aligning correctly.

IMO, Build a dedicated comp car, use a chassis you won’t feel as bad if it gets wrecked and isn’t as hard to find parts for that have such a drift tax. I get the s chassis has a TON of support but the prices are getting out of hand

All this time messing with S chassis and all you needed was a Camry with a 1JZ and an exhaust. Love seeing you in a Chaser Jimmy, sounds sick and Spoon killed it.
That battery is the same battery I had in my 1994 supra I brought from Japan to New Zealand. Battery lasted 8 years and still goes but probably changed out by new owner as it was ancient
With the Z being the “seat time car” and having a good start on the suspension setup, It has to have some potential as a comp car. Would also be a good candidate if you were looking to build an LS-powered car
After it burns in and some heat cycles it will get slightly louder. If you drift that thing, the muffler sticking out like that could be bad. If you like it send it. Definitely needs the subframe reinforcement.
It would be a cool series to send the coupe to Florida and really go over it with LZ. Build the 1j. Go for real power. It feels like it’s on the borderline of comp car in many places. Just need that little push.
I think if you recirculate the wastegate into the downpipe it would probably help a bit. Maybe a small resonator too. Just don't want it to be too quiet. It sounds good to me lol.
You don't need a flex, just always add the gearbox support mount. The Engine, Gearbox and exhaust will rotate as one perfectly fine as long as that support is present :) Flex is realy only needed in FWD applications tbh as there is no way to get around that.
Weird how the tomei ti exhaust for the chaser sits that way at the muffler. Definitely looks a little funky, would probably look way more at home if the car had a kit on it or a rear diffuser of some sort. Either way came out dope and Spoon kills it !!
