This man just seems like the most incredible grandpa. Imagine him coming home from a long trip to wherever to check out new toys. You just know he would bring back the best gifts and tell the best stories!!
The moment i found this young gentleman, i immediately thought of my grandpa, im pretty sure that he reminds most of us of our grandparents too.....long live king
Those paper yoyos started so many fights with my brothers. Getting smacked in the back of the head with one of those was like the touching of boxers gloves. Good times
Might sound a little bit weird, but I consider Tim to be a grandpa of mine. I never met either of my grandfathers and if I ever did, I think the comfort Tim makes me feel through these videos would be the same feeling I'd feel with my granpapas. Thanks Tim, for making me feel not so lonely whenever I need it over the years.
That telescoping wand with just a magnet on the end that was shown alongside the cutlery is very often used to fish things out of engine bays when they get loose from messy or shaky hands. Very useful little devices.
I really enjoy Tim's enthusiasm for sharing his collection and I'm continually impressed by the variety of themes for the videos they produce for youtube. Great work.
When I was younger, I loved making little telescopic paper tubes. I found a way to give them little tabs that would stick out the top, and I’d color them like a little fire. Then, you pull on the fire and stretch it out, and boom! It’s a little paper candle. I’d give them out to friends and whatnot, good times!
8:45 man, I had a lot of those as a kid... I think my dad bought them at a garage sale and I could never figure out what the heck I was supposed to do with them. They confused and enraged me and made me want to go play with sticks! :P
The sound of those corrugated plastic tubes expanding & contracting was so distinctive & familiar that it trigged some feelings of nostalgia - though I can't recall the exact details, I'm pretty sure my brother had one...
I used to have a Spider with a piece of rubber similar to the one in the snake tongue, but It worke like a spring. It was connected with a wire to a little squishy balloon, and when you pressed It, It made the spring move, and the spider jumped, scaring people. I loved It. Its amazing how little contraptions can be so fun
the telescopic magnet is worth its weight in gold in the crash repair / mechanics industry when you drop a screw, nut or bolt in an engine bay or car's frame etc
2:00 For me, that is a reality in relation to my Uncle. He always has a telescopic fork on him to play around with. He loves pulling a few pranks and jokes on his nephews XD
1:20 - It's not a bit of fun - I have one ! The pen is its second function. It's primary function is being a pocket pointer - for when you're stood in front of a white board, projector screen or whatever and you want to point out specific things to 'class'.
My father has such a telescopic pen. He told me that it is ment to be used as a pointer for presentations so if you have a big map projected on the screen you can use it to show the audience where you are right now for example.
does extendable pens are also used for few another purposes. - simplist was a pointer for a chalkboard or other board. tip was typically white. - My dad used to use them at a gas utility company to light pilots. the entire staff used them too. you take the pen ink/tip insert out. you put a wooden match into the end. you could light the match and reach it into a gas appliance and light the pilot light. keeps your hand away from the burner flame. can also use them to light things like a barbecue grill
sometimes they would also take the pen insert out once it was no longer of use and salary alligator clip onto the end. same purpose use a match to light something remotely but not getting your fingers anywhere near the flame
very very nice to see your back in your studio the covid-19 pandemic was pretty rough for me and you I can imagine tim thank you for helping me get through it with a smile we love you keep up the good work
I remember my grandfather had one of those telescopic magnets when I was younger and my Dad used to buy them as well too. It was really fun to play with
The telescopic magnet is more so for mechanics. So should you drop a bolt and it doesn't fall onto the ground, you use a telescopic mirror to find it and the magnet to get it back.
I remember the good days of RUclips when it was toy reviews and stuff, not bad Elsa and spider esc kids videos. Tim, you have fulfilled the true duty of youtube my friend. Thank you :) Edit: grammar.
My geography teacher had a telescopic pen in the 90s. Saves you from going around the school or to a business presentation with a long stick which was the alternative before laser pointers and lcd projectors. And it is also a working pen....not a stick
It's ok, Tim. It's your show. You don't have to have an excuse to bring snakes in a can to every video.
Well said cox
If anything we need an excuse not to have the snakes.
I LOVE the snakes in a can
We have to be careful though, we don’t want him to go mad with power.
@@GrandMarshalGarithos The snakes in a can are fine, as long as they don't drink any water from the Nile...
You've heard of comically large spoon, now get ready for...
Comically long fork.
Up next, comically length knife.
@@woops9076 And as the grand finale, the comically large spork.
@@woops9076 Damn! you beat me to that! :)

I absolutely love how every episode kinda just starts with "So I started playing with a toy i purchased"
We all would like longer one’s Tim..
Longer videos included
Longer pienus

old yet still new, it’s why toys are so great: there’s new ways to interpret old ideas and make them fun for a new generation
I really miss that long fork when we sit at the festive table :(
when he bit the giant plastic staff i understood

Very nice username.
I can't say enough how happy I am to see Tim back in the studio
Good to see ya face Tim 💜
I love that classy slide-away-from-view and attention to focus on a new item. What a wonderful educator.
Now I am ready to sleep peacefully after another wholesome video from Tim
13:40 What was that, it looks so funny when suddenly Tim do that.
Its what I would’ve done when I was younger. Tim’s just got a youthful soul.
Efficient and sharp mannerisms, whilst being playful and passionate.
That's just Tim being Tim

I use the long spoon all the time camping! It’s nice so that you aren’t right on top of your fire when you’re stirring your pot 🔥🏕🔥
@Duran Emmi points for trying, but spelling could you some work. F, please come see me after class
@Duran Emmi please take this class seriously we are dealing with students more than we get paid
Yeah, I use it as well. But not the telescopic one, I just duct tape regular spoon to a long stick.
I just love his brogue, his quirky sayings, and basically everything he says. He's so wholesome even with this topic, he handles it beautifully
The telescopic ball point pen is designed to be a pointer for lecturers. My dad used to have loads of them

Lost count of how many "that's what she said" moments there are in this.
" i would like a long one"
"that has gotten extraodinary long"
I just spit out some of my morning coffee😂
“That’s what I call a ‘grower’”

The epiphany of Tim.....FUN 💚
I got one of those telescopic pens from my faculty when I received my teaching license, it's a pointer!
I love watching this channel
Yeah its' so cool

This is stretching the meaning of elongated jokes, love it
It's a nice little treat seeing these videos pop up; and knowing Tim is alive and well 😀

My dad was a mechanic so we have the telescopic magnet at home! It was super useful for his work and for getting lost metal bits around the house 👍
the comically long spoon
Only a spoonful
Everything can explain how much I love this guy.
I don't know why but he gives me the ASMR feeling and it's wonderful

I got like 5 or 6 of these expanding tubes for my son, they are great for making marble tracks. And the sound it makes is just nice.
8:50 That popping sound brought back absolutely ancient memories from my childhood.

9:10 I LOVE the sound this one makes
Imagine using the long fork and spoon to steal food from passing waiters.
I love that big, wooden pole at the end. I want one!
This show always brightens my day. It's so wholesome.
That pole version would make for a great practical effect for a Journey to the West movie or show for Sun Wukong's staff.
I remember my grandfather had one of those telescopic magnets when I was younger and my Dad used to buy them as well too. It was really fun to play with
it is all coming together now, Tim was making birthday parties and stuff, and that's why he has so many toys!
Thank you youtube, for suggesting this lovely british man.
I will listen to him to chill out like Bob Ross.
This man exudes passion for his craft! ☺️☺️☺️
Yes that is a smart looking gun and that firing is amazing
What a way to start this friday, we love ya Tim ❤
The Japanese toy is what brought me to this channel in the first place, way back when :)
I love the telescopic magnet. I have several. I use them alot to get nuts and bolts out of tight spots while working machinery
wow, wonderful presentation of amazing inventions.
9:51 "Ketchup and sour cream" 😅 That's yellow mustard!
You put mustard in your sour cream with turmeric bottle?? 😱
I think Tim just learned the word telescopic and just wanted to show off his newfound knowledge
You've shown us toys extending in 1 Dimension, how many more Dimensions can some others extend?
All of them
We are all here waiting for tim to get old enough that he pulls out an adult toy and be like 'I just found this one and it has the strangest effect'.
This guy is awesome. I love your videos!
I think if you cut a plastic drinking straw lengthwise, you could roll it up so that it'll pop back into shape when you let it go.
Tim, my man, good sir, i mean this with nothing but respect, but.. thats mustard
Tim. Brilliant .
I am so thankful to have come across this channel. What a delight!
Extendable metal bow staves are pretty neat. Follows what the wands do.
I really enjoyed this one! I love to see magicians props, very interesting.
Impressive turn out.
Back again with his lovely collection
Your grand kids are very spoiled and are always gonna be happy thanks to you
9:10 remember plastic straws? 😂
Tim knows so many ways to make things grow hehe
It’s toy reviews but of toys that we remember playing with, nostalgia reviews?
Man I miss being a kid.
Tim's a grow-er and a show-er 😏
Those last ones changed Everything, I feel so much smarter now that I know how they work!
The Paper Yo-Yo is actually a simple variant of a telescopic mechanism, and so is the Japanese sticks toy..

My dad's a mechanic and has a few varieties of that magnet to grab bolts and such that've fallen in hard to reach areas and whatnot.
