If you're telling me that you would instinctively know exactly how much to push the FM amount dial with the waveform set to square, the envelope set at half, the frequency set to 2, with SYNC turned off -- then please tell me where to send the Bob Moog MENSA medal of honor. If shaping the sound of effects like this (or the glorious MURF) were obvious, they wouldn't be any fun.
Hell no! What fun would that be? Truth be told, with so many of the parameters dependent on one another, you never really know how the thing is going to sound with each tweak of a knob. That's one of the best things about Moog effects and modular synth gear in general--exploring what's possible, without expectations. Sorry we only showed the tip of the iceberg for this thing. With all the patching possibilities on this pedal, you could spend hours with it and still not exhaust its potential.
i just got one of these 3 days ago. i am wondering if it can be hooked to my drum machine with my guitar still as the main audio source, but the frequency being modulated by my drum machine so that my guitar signal would be rhythmically synced. would i want to patch the drum machine signal to the envelope in, osc in, or simply the freq jack?
Funny, you can pretty much get that exact sound using "conventional" gear (distortion and a wah.) Personally, I like the crazier stuff that pedal does.
yeah especially that sax lick at the end.
Badass! I love the sound you get with the guitar at around 4:20.
i love it!
Badass sounds!:O

Cool !!
freq jack. through a mixer or attenuator so you could control how much of the audio signal from the drum machine goes to the freq input.

What did you discover?
I've watched this video so many times and just now noticed the name. Is this the same Chachi Jones that remixed Tycho's Send and Receive?
YEAAAAAHHH! Haha, somebody actually sais ''sounds like crap!'' Good sense of humor he has. Love it!
Looks and sounds like toys in your hands. But music?
how much is it pedal????in dollar...

Nah it's jsut because hes pushing it to the extremes. It's a good chorus/flanger pedal.
Or he could use his crazy-ass Kaoss Pad-oriented Manson guitar. It would do more than the same thing.
way to go, Moog, turn anything into classical music concrete laboratory sounds. it's a noise box yeah! sorry not my best comment ever
(Er, whoops I was trying to reply to the comment about the sound at 4:20)
Roland TR 606
What is the drum machine used?
