The uno protect was better option my guy 100%
I would just leave the polish and sealant bro the wax is optional tbh cause the sealant will replace the wax and you save time as well
Uno is a stand alone product no topper needed. If you waxed over the uno sealant you just canceled the sealant in the uno.Waxes and sealants are no friendly together.
So is that the guy that quit and now he’s been back ?????
that is him and he just came to help that day because im solo on the weekend
You should add some sort of storage to the top of the cargo van so you can keep your pop up tent on you always!
Exactly what I was thinking bro.
good idea have to figure that out
@@HuntersMobileDetailing all u need is a small latter rack or sum type of bike rack boom!! Problem solved🙌💪💯
AIO Polish and sealant, collect your 200.
Dope video man! I use 3D SPEED high gloss One-step but thats a complete different service at that point lol $350 minimum... if you wanna do a wax and want it to pop use JESCAR POLYMER SEALANT.
This man knows what's up, I second everything you said. 👍
Yo Felix good to see you checking out Waynes vids man and I 100 % agree with what you said, I use those products as well and im actually thinking of getting some of that collinite wax you use too
They will both pop, but one might last longer than the other. I’d expect the all in one to have a shorter longevity. From a time perspective the all in one saves you lots of time. If I were you I’d give the customer two options if cost is an issue. If they want a dedicated wax you can charge extra depending on the longevity of the wax you use. That’s what I do.
You are 100% accurate with everything you said. However, with an express detail, remember Powerlock Plus has a 30 min cure time. Not efficient for this type of detail.
How long would it last ? For protection
all in one for quick jobs and customers who dont want to pay a lot. Also the damage from traditional clay bars should be fixed with polishing but these newer clay towels, gloves, sponges are way less aggressive and don't always need to polish after if used with good clay lubricants. For speed and durability I feel like spray waxes are better
As a detailer myself, not mobile because I really clean in detail and 1 car takes about 14 hours to do, I got some advice for you:
1 Do not polish without taping of the rubbers... polishing requires time, you can't do it in a rush.. Just go for a wax instead of polishing, those 2 in 1 products don't work.
2 Get a decent clay bar and work area per area instead of foaming the entire or half the car.. A good clay bar only needs water as a lubricant, you save some money on it as well and you don't cause so many scratches because I'm 100% sure that thing you use leaves a lot of scratches which requires you to polish after it.
(spray water with a sprayer not a pressure washer so you have less chance to create water spots - clay bar the area with a good clay bar - Wipe it of - Apply wax, and you're done)
You turned a simple decontaminate and wax into a decontaminate, 1 step polish and wax.
3 Use IPA (isopropyl alcohol) instead of that orange stuff after you polish, is that a quick detailer btw?
That orange stuff he used looks like Beadmaker from P&S
14 hours to detail a car??? You should be getting at least 6-7 cars in 14 hours especially if your not mobile
Well said
I disagree, doing mobile detailing we are limited on time I think you can do a quick polish without taping off but just making sure to stay away from plastics and trim. only time I tape something off is if doing a full paint correction The way you are saying works if you have a shop and a lot of time so im not saying you are wrong.
If you use a drill for a quick polish it won't get hot enough to worry about damaging the rubbers and plastics
Damn Wayne, charged too little bro...you "technically" did a two step polish, obviously no heavy cutting and refinement, but you polished that thang twice! And you added a spray wax! This client better have been pleased lol. Good work besides that 👍
What should the price have been
@@hermanlee403 $450-500
@@jimmy8647 that’s too high. You gotta think 🤔?? These are his customers…why tax them when they come back to you? $250 would have been fine though. Lol
Hit it wuth the uno protect give it 20 minutes then throw bead maker on it
thanks
Also-you can use P&S beadmaker to remove the Uno amd get more pop
Uno protect is a 1step. All in one. Wax and polish, you dont need to add a separate polish or use that polish remover. You could top it with technicians choice or bead maker tho
The one step is " the jack of all trades and master of none " .. polish and use TURTLE WAX GRAPHENE spray protection
Agreed, it works great as a base coat, and can go on just about anything (except places you don’t want slippery like the door foot sills)... then I use graphene to the max wax for the topper and plan to maintain with flex wax pro. Lasted more than 6 months already.
What’s going Wayne? Good to see your brother back out on the grind with you. Everything that you did to that Toyota Camry wad on point. When it came down to end of the Detail on what to apply. I myself. World suggest the 1 And Done by Turtle Wax. Just keeping it 💯. I like the way you grind. And I watch all of your videos. Continue to allow GOD to use you my brother. 👍🏾👍🏾
I would've gone with 3D Speed with a Lake Country Organge Pad or a Euro 50/50 pad and top it off with PNS Bead Maker. I'm just starting out myself, but I know that combo works.
thanks will def be trying this combo soon
Rupes has their version of 3D Speed. I've used both, it just depends on how bad the clear is and how much correction you trying to do. If there are light imperfections in the clear this might give you good results if paired with an appropriate pad. The best option is always a proper 2 or 3 step, just depends on the clients budget or expectations.
On black cars after you clay you always have to come in with a machine polish. A lot of these new polishes have some kind of SI02 polymer sealant in it.
If you want ultimate gloss on a car paint you can use a glaze or carnauba wax.
Or you can take my word for it and use turtle wax seal n shine
I would only do Uno protect because it has fillers in it to fill scratches but has to sit for 20 minutes for that to work. Wax only last 90 days though. Uno pure looks better. You can use that one step with any pad and change how much correction it does.
Kochchemie p601 or p301. Great cut and finish with a yellow rupes pad speed 4 1/2
I've been detailing for 28 years and I believe the paint pops more when you do the two steps individually. Beadmaker is the bomb as well to seal it and give it that extra pop
as a 3rd over wax??
Try Dream Maker for more P O P❗❗
@@HuntersMobileDetailing as a sealer in top of the wax for durability for an extra fee of $50 - $100 it's an up sale. No money if they like it for good clients use it instead of a wax.
@@gilbertnavarez3247 how do u use bead maker on black paint i been hearing it leaves hase and its hard to remove
You only need the Rupes Uno it already has sealant. It works fas and avoids for you to do wax after. Good luck my man
thanks
Bro you gotta let the Uno sit. You could have done that whole car, and come back with the bead maker for easy removal and extra shine/protection. But good stuff, bro
If the paint isnt bad I would polish with a 2 in 1 like 3D One and then use a spray sealant like P&S Bead Maker or Sonax BSD. I prefer the spray cause it's easier to apply I dont have to deal with wax getting stuck in the edges.
Hey ya boy came back!!! That he got his stitch sorted out and is back with the Hunter fam!
Shoutout to Reyes at 12:52 - that me baby. But I drive a Camry. Got a job this morning baby. We growing!
Do a 1step with the Uno protect. It's a great product and a big time saver!
If you want the result your looking for use a glaze before you put the wax. Showroom glass finish
They aren't paying for paint correction. $200 1 step polish & wax is good. When you do a paint correction I would recommend individual steps
If you are going to use Polish and silliner and wax and I use the grill's garage 3 and 1 And it knocks out those 2 steps that you Took.
Tip: After applying product to the buffer pad, press the pad around (already attached to the machine), in the area you are going to work instead of just starting from a single spot and spreading it from there. Allows equal lubrication/product in the area. Not as harsh to the paint.
Pad conditioner too

Yeah Scott with dallas paint correction is the best teacher I've ever seen and he does that.
The car still looks incredible. He did a great job.
Praise God Child of God. Thank you for your inspiration I just finished my second detailing job. If you wouldn't mind sharing with me the name of the blue cordless polisher you were using.
check out link below its first brotha God bless
You loss money, time and wasted product. That's why it's called an AIO no need to do anything else but a sealant topper
Love your videos man I love watching them
This may be unpopular, but I've tried it.... Clay Bar windshields to remove contaminants. It's amazing what all will come out
So this is how you should break it down and it all comes down to pricing. The Uno protect product is used as an all in one paint enhancement because it comes with protectant already infused into the formula that lasts several months. Let’s say that’s $350. So you’d be charging $350 for and all In one paint enhancement that is infused with protection, no need for you to wax afterwards, and should take you really about 30 minutes to apply on the vehicle. If you were to do them separately that you should be charging more ($400-$450) because you’ll be taking more time as you would have to polish first then apply the wax or sealant afterwards. Another selling point for the extra charge charge would be the longevity of the protect that is applied separately vs what is already infused in the all in one product. Uno protect will give you 2-3 months while another wax/sealant can give you 4-12 months. So it all comes down pricing and time.
Hunter is right. You could have the tools but if you dont have patience and knowledge you do a bad job
I wish you the best of luck out there and your pricing is VERY fair👍👍
Wayne. You might save some time by doing the claying with the washing. One hand with the wash mitt, one hand clay. Then you can rinse, throw the iron remover, and rinse again. Try it out man. Love the videos. Love the channel!
Then you would be introducing new scratches if you clay and wash at the same time. You need to rinse off all the soap after washing, then clay. So he's doing it right.
Shouldn't the iron remover come first then foam and clay
@@SergioPerez-xd2fs no
@@JamesCecilWilson I would disagree you want to remove any iron contamination first because if you clay first they'll scratch the paint
I think that as detailers people consider any type of scratching to be the absolute worst possible thing that can happen to a car. Let’s look at this from a business standpoint… I’m pretty sure if you explain the type of scratches clay bars create to these customers who own everyday cars that want a wax, 99.99% of them wouldn’t care. Probably because they aren’t very visible. This isn’t a car that’s prepping for Pebble Beach. It’s an everyday sedan that the owner wants to look glossy. Obviously as detailers, you want to clean/enhance a car, and not damage it, but how much damage are we really talking here? I dare any detailer to show a Camry-like owner before and after of what claying a car just caused. Bet not a single one will object to the damage. With that being said, claying a car causes scratches, but claying during the agitation process causes more scratches? Pretty sure you’d need a microscope to spot those differences. Another thing to consider, chances are that these customers at some point are going to want a polish. Any extra scratches caused during the wash/clay process will surely be gone at that point.
Yo you should make a video on how you maintain and clean all of your supplies. It would be very helpful.
If you use the UNO Protect with medium cutting pad, you can remove minor imperfections. That would be the better option in my opinion
just cuz he don't got all the equipment doesn't make him not a detailer
dropping. gems
We are profesional on the job
Uno protect on a medium foam pad will give you some cut and the polymer sealant gives really good gloss and 3 months protection.Just has to be left to cure for 20 mins. I go round the entire car then start buffing from where I started polishing 👍🏻
I would get a real clay not use the mit and fall out remover.
I'd also like for Wayne to try a real clay bar instead of a mitt. The difference is night and day.
@@allenruiz964 exactly bro that mitt ain’t doing nothing real clay will help him so much. I would also just use the fall out remover too in the clay especially if is strict with time🤙🏿
You can save some time lots by switching to a chemical call quick solv and not have to clay a car. Car comes out butter smooth
I don’t use wax I use a polymer sealant with ceramic coat in it gives me five months to six months. And then top it with bead maker or car pro reload.
No it will not shine more just do the one step it already has protection in it
Man hunter you undercharged so much man, a One Step With a Wax Over it also for only $200.. Should've been over $400 plus you doing amazing work
I know what i did was worth more. just added it to lock in a customer. def not something i will do all the time.
you should have told him to add the headlights on it it made it look a lot better being a black car
Perfect finish with turtle wax ceramic maximize the polish
Have you tried changing out the orfice on your foam canon? It will give you alot more thicker foam. Its like $8.00 on Amazon check it out. Stay Blessed from Dallas Tx
Try p&s play maker all in one with a finishing pad works wonders
You should get a roof rack . Maybe carry the tent strapped on top
Great job man. I’m dying to start waxing man. But ima start with my own car first lol
Can't stop re watching this video because im still trying to learn the correct procedure on doing a good clay bar and wax. like how you got in depth with your steps in this video
Would love that Hunter
I have a RV detailing business. If you use the two in one product you will go over the car only one time. If you use the two-step process with two different material for the paint, that would be better. because you are working on the car longer and polishing it twice instead of once! This should give it the edge…because it’s more labor using the same method. I hope you understand. Lol
i sure do thanks for taking the time
I never said this before... Im older than you, but I'd be proud to have you as my boss. You do great work Wayne. Btw... the two step polish/wax was the more professional way to go... the one step process is faster... time and price point will dictate when to use which process.
thanks that means alot brotha
if its carnauba wax, it will give more of a wet shine, i do both
Put that wax in those clear ketchup bottles you get from walmart will make it way easier. Keep grinding. Not sure of your location but I think at 200 you’re selling yourself short.
yes sir im on it thanks for your advice
Hey man check out dallas auto paint correction. He's really smart about detailing and he's the best teacher i've ever watched.
For the most part a wax is going to make the paint pop but offer limited protection. A sealant is going to protect longer but not pop as much. I don't know that looking at it with the naked eye we could tell the difference. If you got yourself a gloss meter you could test it out and see what you find. Polishing after clay is a must like you say as clay micro mars the finish. That Rupes UNO is a great product.
I agree it's not the equipment it's the heart for the game
3D speed is a really good polish and wax. I've used it and the cars come out nice!
3D is the best high quality product.
I use that as well, quick and profitable
what do you use before you wax it
Looking from Trinidad Nice work really wish to grow like you
Dude. Awesome work. Awesome videos. Thanks!
A detailer is some one who pays attention to detail. A detail is to bring to new or like new. That's what it means to me.
Combo products aren't as good, however you get what you pay for on the job. We only offer separate steps.
Sealant isn't a wax, it's not going to pop from a sealant.. only from polishing properties. Someone else mentioned that polishing takes time and that couldn't be more accurate. What you did in the video should only be a wax in that method and time period. If you're going to use that 2 in 1 you should do a wax after cure and wipe bc that's what you're looking for on the pop.
I just finished up a cut and polish today on a bmw then ceramic coating. It started yesterday, it was done today at 6:30. Cut which I know you weren't doing and polish especially on black is time and that's why it's so much money.
You also should blot out in the working area, spread on low, then working speed on top of pad conditioner to work everything right and make your pad last longer.
Definitely look at a high quality ceramic or graphine spray.. less if not zero residue = efficiency and high quality.. I use to deal with time consuming post wax removal, but not any more ... " once you go Spray , you won't Stray"
.
Learning this is actually helping me day after day when I'm out in the field with my cousin... I can't help it i look over a car forever and it makes my fam a lil mad lol
Don’t worry bro used to be the same way.
My sister cleans like a damn crazy person and she moves too quick for me so she be getting pissed sometimes 😂
Always rinse and wash top to bottom
Do you still use a 65 gallon water tank? Roughly how many cars could you do a day with that size of a water tank?
i now have 100 gal I can do 3 to 5 cards depending on size 65 gal was 2 to 3 cars
2 step polish and wax is better in my opinion you do beautiful work hunter and you are blessed to have your brother work with you.
Detailers only need go over and over inspecting the paint when they use too much wax on the pads. More wax does not mean the protection / shine is going to be better.
Ru-Pes Uno…. Is amazing. Can’t knock it. If they are asking for a quick polish and wax, that’s your best option. Which pad you use to apply it, will determine what type of minor correction you’ll be doing.
If they just want a nice popping polish, Rupes Medium Wool pad with Sonax Ex 04-06. That’s a Free gem for everyone
A quick Sonax speed wax and move
Hunter "Harley Man" Right I have used that polish for a year now put on wipe off your dune buddy and it last up here for me 6 months
The last coat is 🔥. That is what I use every time... no need to wax ever again. Time saver and comes out a million times better than waxing!
DerTuer
Personally, I have tried multiple 3in1 or AIO's and I have never liked it, I do a polish as enhancement and then seal, as a quality sealant offers better water behavior and protection in my experience. IF i were to use an AIO like UNO Protect I'd sell as a Machine Wax.
Hey buddy you need to invest in some solo pump sprayers for some of your chemicals make it easy for yourself
i have some just need to buy more
You are a detailer 😂... There's always gone be ppl who downplay you
Truth ha
I would hit em with the all in 1 one polish…
Saves you a whole extra step then compounding and polishing
But in the end it’s what the customer wants and is going to pay for
Hey Brother! Was wondering how you did with all that wind we had last week? Was going to detail my truck but kept getting dirt and contaminates as the wind blew.
wind is not strong on my side
I can highly recommend Koch Chemie P6.01 one cut and finish, best one step polish I know of, it even take out swirls so its not just a filler polish.
Don’t forget clay is also done to make sure that your wax/sealant can bond properly.
Daaaaang! Stepped it up with that big boi polisher! I see you!
If your charging $200 brotha you have to go with the Uno protect there not paying for the enhancement with wax for that I usually charge $350 and up and I use sonax perfect finish with a yellow rupes faster arm speed that a typical 1 step paint correction
Facts he’s waisting his time and money(on chemicals) charging that low for a probably more than an hour job
Uno Protect is a good product. I use it for paint enhancements. I pair it with a meguirs MF polishing pad and it gets some minor defects removed. If you are going to use it in stead of a wax and pressed for time, just use a lake country orange foam pad and work faster at speed 5ish. That'll not remove much, but will be enough to get the proect worked in amd done
AOI is the same as polish and wax, topping the AOI with wax will (supposedly) give longer durability, you made that old car pop🤩
Bro what us the cordless polisher you are using and where can I find it?
link in bio below brotha
Dude, where do you get those red and black microfiber's? Black and red is my thing 👍
h20 suppply in la
Uno protect is an 'All in one' its a polish and wax, so you dont need to wax the car again afterwards
I prefer 3d speed, much better cutting and gloss abilities.
Also dont go spending all your money on rupes polishers when you're learning
def going to pick up 3d this is like the 15th person suggesting ha thanks
@@HuntersMobileDetailing try it my man!
3D HD Speed is an all in one and you can use it in direct sunlight and won’t dry up.
That rupes one step shines up really nice I really enjoy using
I'm not a professional but I do watch tons of vids and detail my own vehicles. I agree that job should have paid at least another hundred. Iron remover isn't cheap, polishing with a compound is an extra step, then liquid wax with additional Beadmaker on top... whew! That customer better come back for maintenance. As always you be going above and beyond. I hope you can squeeze in a quick vacation soon, your energy vibe is a little lower than usual and don't wanna see you burn out. Much love, God Bless!
Thanks for your input brotha i got my 3 day break in def needed it.
That's alot of wax your applied in one section. Spread your wax out to more panels.
Great content!!
thanks ill be sure to use less next time
Honestly I would recommend spray wax way faster and provides 9 months or so with the right silica sealant. You wont get that white wax in between panels👌
Clay bar leaves marring when the paint doesn’t require it. Iron removal is not always required either. No reason for the extra steps.
explain to me when you know if it needs it or not ???
Once you wash it and have all the dirt and grime off, you simply run your hand across the paint. You can feel the grittiness on the paint….the rough sand paper like feeling. Some detailers use the “sandwich bag” method. Which is basically the same, you just use the plastic sandwich bag over your hand.
You need some softer towels
Eagle edgeless 500 the rag company
Rupes uno protect is great polish/wax
I just realize you are in Cali. Your prices should be much higher for being in that state. You are pretty comparable to the guys here in FL. Good luck and we'll done for making it in your location.
My prices are comparable here in NC
Gtech c2v3 to replace the paste wax. That’s my suggestion. This by itself or just stick with the rupes uno for the light abrasives.
2 or 3 in 1 has filler with some protective components. It doesn’t zero to none paint correction. It just hides some while protecting. You did the right thing by choosing a polish. Best bet is Sonax 04-06 with a polish wool pad and use griots ceramic 3 in 1 wax.
bro great work i would do the 2 step method not the one step. but it also depends on the brand youre using. i think you would really like chemical guys products i know you take pride in your work and using their products to save time with the results you get it wont feel like cutting corners. all the best brother god bless
