#Beartooth #Below
Beartooth are just really good at making catchy generic bangers and honestly that’s fine with me even if it isn’t groundbreaking music
I feel like that’s almost the point, The songs like you said aren’t groundbreaking. But they don’t have to be. That dude has the art of writing a hook down to a science. He knows what he wants to do and he does it well. And like you, I am totally here for it lol.
Well, I feel like Caleb has an awesome way of lyrically making the "generic bangers" hit you right in the vibes and feels. We've seen on "Disgusting" that he's super emotional and up front lyrically. Even though it's his old work, it makes me feel all the lyrics in his new stuff more. (also a caleb simp)
Disease was such a kick ass album. Devastation is pure fire. The past is dead is catchy as fuck too
a lot of people are hating on The Past Is Dead for being soft, which I understand with the lack of screaming. but rest assured caleb said this album is gonna be heavier than disease and this song has a majority of the singing on the album
@Symbiote Spider-Man yeah man exactly. It's still good fucking music, and it's still beartooth. whatever caleb makes is gonna be kick ass. I saw someone complaining about the waa-oh's in the songs now like it wasn't what made them big with In Between. people are just looking for anything to hate when most of them couldn't do anything near this by themselves
I love Caleb's clean vocals, the part of that song that disappoints me is the closed hi-hat breakdown lol. I know there are at least two more of those on the album too (Fed Up and an unknown)
@@benhostetter4775 well closed hi-hat breakdowns can still be heavy as shit bro have you heard Colder Brother by Varials? not that I'm trying to compare these two songs
You always know what to expect from Beartooth but you're hardly ever really disappointed cos they're great at what they do
"but at least its not fueled by raman" HAHA
Shots fired
*ADTR fans crying*
Beartooth: You're welcome.
FINALLY THE BEARTOOTH REACTION
Im suprised that some people hate it, like its still Beartooth, but noone else sounds like Beartooth, I just dont know any other band that mixes core and this kinda "rock'n'roll" vibe together so well(mb Dragged Under, but they are obviously inspired by Beartooth) and you can clearly see the evolving from pure hardcore on Disgusting and Agressive to this rock+core sound and it works very good i think
im pretty sure caleb said that the albums are telling a story and that the songs are getting somewhat softer because it goes with the story
as for what i think of the songs, devastation is pretty good, the past is dead is a good, fun rock anthem thatll get the crowd singing at a festival. its far from disgusting but its still good.
Tthey have primitive and similar song structures, but from album to album Beartooth sounds cool. One of those bands that I can forgive the monotony in the structure of the songs. Disease is my favorite album of 2018 /
3:13 is what made Nagato destroy the hidden leaf
Pain Devestation AMV needs to happen 😂
@@Bugga-Ray-Dudley something I would like to see in my lifetime lmao 🤘
I think "The Past is Dead" gets better by hearing it more and more
React to Dead by April - Heartbeat Failing.
Huge fan of the band, and I hope the album will has more Devastation-type heavy songs.
For the next reaction: Attila - Clarity ; Caliban - Intolerantz
Clarity caught me completely off-guard. I'm not gonna complain about Attila making more serious music. They could genuinely be one of the best deathcore/metalcore bands in the scene if they go in this direction.
Yeah the songs are simple, but they kick ass live
Been bumping these songs like crazy whenever im driving. The choruses just hit different
I really like them both, I think that they will work live really well.
Past is Dead is an Imagine Dragons songs on redbull
I love those songs, though basic they're pretty good and that's what I want in a track, I'm hyped as hell for the next album
Also I LOVE the riffage of these songs
Don’t get why people hate on Beartooth, very fun band! Sure the first album is the best but it’s still good.
React to Amazonia by Gojira!!!!!
React to the new song of Gojira
Beartooth doesn’t do much different. They have their distinct sound and again... they don’t change much but they do what they do very well. Now Caleb also said that devastation comes nowhere near as heavy as the album gets.
I love devastation personally, it's super fun, riffs and breakdowns are cool, haven't heard disease though going to check it out.
React to NF - Story it's dope
Gotta hear that new Ghost Iris
I'm pretty sure they are using a baritone guitar on the breakdown.
You should check out the new Wheel album Resident Human. It's fantastic!
Mix is definitely interesting, which is weird bc Caleb recently dropped the remastered aggressive album which sounds fucking amazing. Curious to see the rest of the album
The key changed from the last album, but the style is pretty consistent from their last 2 albums. If you like their sound, these songs hit the spot. Generic but still a banger
initially i thought this was gonna be my new fave band from the first track, being soft, i thought the latter would crush. that last riff was super fun, but had no depth. i'll take it over the new Architects tho, so thats a win for Beartooth.
We NEED to thank Beartooth for not change too much, it's almost always the worst thing bands are doing today
there is change and there is sounding the same for years and years without much of any new flavor.
Hey, love the videos! Check out Enemy ft. Andrew Patterson by Eternal Void! Very good underground band that deserves more listeners.
Solipsist best one
@@vadymkondriuk6510 Man I didn't figure anybody would know about Eternal Void. Solipsist is also a great song but I love Enemy the most.
I'd love to see you react to Allt's latest song called Rupture. Allt is this progressive/djenty style metalcore band. Quite cool band! You should check them out!
...And Justice For The Past
You mentioned riding your bike, are you a mountain biker?
Please check out the band Deadlights, really awesome
you can def tell Kaleb's voice has gotten miles better since sick/disgusting
Why they gotta add the "oh woahs" in the chorus smh. Kills it for me.
I‘m a really big Disgusting fan but this is fire too, not gonna lie
The bass eq was definitely changed. It is that disgusting layer of the riff with a lot of overdrive. Could've been compressed
The breakdown has a layer of baritone guitar that's an octave lower than the normal guitars, so that's probably why you're losing the bass in it.
I thought I noticed that too,not just because of the guitar in the video but the sound it gave off was much beefier that added to the breakdown
@@andrewsawyer9273 Yea that's the Gretsch in the video. It's an extremely long scale baritone guitar. I'm not sure which one tho.
Sounds more on the punk side.
Please react to Invent Animate Everchanger EP
Beartooth reminds me of Fall Out Boy, can’t believe I’d ever say that. Songs aren’t bad, nothing special, I all to my playlist but after a few times I know I’m just gonna skip in the end.
I am surprised more people haven’t mentioned the mix, I think it’s terrible, no low end, too much high end and the cymbals sound awful, that being said the songs are actually ok, ruined my the mix
Yeah that's what keeps it from sounding like disgusting I think, if the was more low it probably would sound more disgusting.
Exactly. The vocals drown everything else out.
I was also surprised! Dude I couldn’t enjoy the song due to that lack of bass frequencies...
I'm disturbed by the sound of guitars, yeah, they're more hard-core oriented than metal-core, but they sound too high and overall bad. The drums sound like plastic too.
@@RobinLeneutre honestly sounds like an amateur recording from 2010. I’d say there’s no excuse when there are people like you who produce professional recordings straight from their house.
Personally, I have loved every release by Beartooth and bought every single one, but if I’m being honest... Caleb could really really do with some help with the writing process. He is an awesome artist but we have heard “Caleb punk rock” for so long now and the sound is getting really tired. If he simply wrote these songs and albums with a group of people instead of alone we would see a genuine evolution of the sound.
Homeboy needs to listen to disgusting
Am I the only one that hates this? It’s so generic, bland, uninspired. Almost as boring as the new ADTR album.
Yeah dude, nothing that stands out.
@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 haha I am glad I am not the only one that feels this way
I'm very conflicted : on the first listens I absolutely loved the sound and the riffs, especially Devastation... But on the other hand it IS extremely generic, both songs have the EXACT same structure and I miss some variations here and there. The past is Dead sounds too much like However You Want It Said too
It might be boring but way better than adtr new stuff. Adtr was not just boring it was just flat out bad.
@@michaelclarke1716 you know what that is a very fair point I agree!
The Past Is Dead is a bit too generic for me. Like I understand that they're becoming bigger but the guitars and instrumentals lack so much punch in this. It's so chorus driven and even the lyrics are cheap af. Devastation was a bit better.
Yeah I didn't like it at all I couldn't even finish the song, but I loved devastation.
"Lyrics are cheap af" Dude he's writing from how he feels, he's one of the realest writers in this "scene". I think given that, the lyrics aren't bad.
@@the_dark_shroud9014 I'm just saying compared to Disgusting or even Disease the lyrics are extremely dense in comparison.
@@the_dark_shroud9014 bro just because he's writing about something real doesn't mean he has to like the lyrics
I think people need to stop comparing everything he does to disgusting. He was in a very dark place in his life, and let that out the only way he knew how. It’s not exactly easy (or ideal) to try to recreate that kind of record, based purely off of what the feelings were when he wrote it.
I don’t know how, I love Devastation, the mix is great, it’s energy, all of it; but The Past is Dead’s mix actually hurt my ears. The song itself is good, but for me the mix was literally unlistenable, no bass, way too much high end, insanely harsh on my ears I couldn’t even finish it. Maybe Apple Music didn’t stream it right?
Do you even know any of the other Beartooth albums? Honestly name anything but Disease. Past is dead is more Disease than devastation, devastation is defo disgusting vibes. Maybe listen to some of their other songs before making comparisons.
For me this band was always pretty boring and generic, never enjoy them. Still, I think this 2 new songs is something that ADTR try to do in the newest album, and they fail miserably, when Beartooth actually did pretty good job. I mean its still pretty generic, but actually you can enjoy it.
A bit standard but still better than Architects.
Honestly. it is incredibly boring.
Same riffs, same bridges, same chorus, same breakdowns for 3 records in a row. Even has the millennial WOAHS lmao
