Some people add extra gauges that ain't in the truck stock. I that case it looks cool
yes, drill through the dash to mount the gauges, instead of fixing the originals, because people who will buy it for originality will love to spend 500 bucks on a new dash, or spend 150 on a dash pad or skin.
