All that steel was built by me and my crew at Stinger Bridge and iron in Coolidge Arizona baby!! My Forman in charge is Juan Ornelas and my lead is Mike Trujillo we built all those edge girders and floor beams!!
Awesome - congrats to the city of Long Beach and both ports! Huge project - amazing suspension bridge will help showcase the whole area! As a kid I remember being amazed at Herman the German crane - and this is another great milestone that will be here for long after we’re all gone. Can’t wait to ride my motorcycle over it and back!! 👌🏼✊🏼🇺🇸✊🏾
I remember back when there was only a pontoon bridge and during low tide you might drive 20 feet below street level. Like everything else designed in CA, by the time the original bride was completed, it was outdated. This time it looks like they've got it right.
Too bad they didn't film actual trips eastbound and westbound over the bridge so we could see what the actual trips in each direction (say, between the 710 and Anaheim St. to Jct CA-47/CA-103) looked like.
I thought this bridge was to be beautifully illuminated at night? I see nothing but headlights. I can see it from my apartment, and I've looked forward to it for years. :(
@@pattyalba6668 Yes, I see they just put up "Holiday Lights." Any idea how long until the pedestrian bridge is open? I've been looking forward to riding my bike on it.
Anybody know when the pedestrian/bike path will open? Finding the entrance was a bear, and a bit dangerous. When I finally found it, the entrance was blocked by a fence.

I also remember crossing that bridge when we would take my dad back to his ship USS Griddley at the Naval base.
Good job announcing this grand opening Dr.Noel Hacegaba👏👏
Nice job!
Good job ! What will happen with the Vincent Thomas bridge?

what about the flyover? They never showed it!
I'm just curious what song was playing during the construction time-lapse video that began at the 6 min mark. Anyone know?

@@BradThePittson Monday was the "official lighting" ceremony. They will have different colors for different occasions!

What is the purpose of those people driving classic cars alone in the car and wearing a mask?
Bunch of political BS
This bridge will be a waste if America turns Socialist.
An almost perfectly nonsensical comment.

@@LongieR8er No, that would be Donald Trump. And anyway, Russia hasn't been a socialist country in a long time ... try and keep up.
