R5 7600X is a damn powerful gaming processor at its price. 4.7 GHz clock speed with a TDP of 105 watt. AMD has produced a fantastic gaming processor.

I got a 7600x months ago for 170usd. 7700x was and still is 100usd more expensive. They are both designed to go up to 95c max and both have 105w tdp. I use an air cooler with 2 x 140mm fans by Deepcool(AS5000plus). My dream cpu is a "future" 7700x3d 🤩💫

Based on those results I'd say if you game at 1440p then the 7600x wins. There over £100 price difference in the UK and both CPUs are bottlenecked at 1080p.

Excuse me sir, what processor would you recommend me if I want to play in 1080p with the rtx 4070?
      Just to avoid the bottleneck

@@PabloSuaDel use a bottle neck calculator that's what I do. I'm new to and making my pc in a couple months but probably a 7600x or intel i5 13th gen. again I'm new so I am probably wrong

Why is the Low 0,1 and 1% that much lower on the 7700x? Must be something wrong?

I agree with this. something must be wrong with the 7700x, or setup for it. there are multiple games where the 0.1% lows and 1% Lows spike much further then the 7600x. for Example in Lords of the fallen we see a difference of 27 frames. It's also using around 10% Less Vram in the 7700x on about every game. So something is off. Can't tell if its the games or if it's the cpu.

It's automatically better to use something lower than a 4090, because if gamers think they are going to learn something about the actual difference they are going to experience, by using a maxed out graphics card they almost certainly don't use, that is a computing failure on their part.
That aside, I really don't see the point of focusing on 1080p here. Nobody is or should spend so much for a graphics card to play in that resolution. For that matter, I think nobody should who pays at least 200 bucks for a graphics card and 180 for a CPU. The resolution deserves no major acknowledgement, simply because monitors have been too large for many years, and actually WQHD has been playable for almost as many years.
Non-stop hammering home the resolution, even if it clearly makes no sense, keeps encouraging detrimental pricing and performance models and ultimately stagnation.
But maybe it's deliberate to squeeze out more of a CPU difference? Could be, but then I would still prefer testing if there is a bottleneck for the GPU by maxing out the settings nonetheless.
