It's just unbealivable the amount of legacy Valentina Lisitsa is giving us. She has built a beautiful "character". Its not anymore about hearing someones performance. It's the whole spectacle: Seeing her body moving, her hands floating above the keys and at the same time hearing a million times perfomed piece seeming to be a totally diferent work. Recenlty I went to a concert she gave and I must say its an experience everybody should go for. Simply transcendent.
I almost saw her perform Rachmaninoff a few years back in Canada, but the Commies cancelled her! There's just something in her performances that moves me.
Piano Sonata No. 27 in E minor, Op. 90 00:00 - I. Mit Lebhaftigkeit und durchaus mit Empfindung und Ausdruck ("With liveliness and with feeling and expression throughout"): E minor 06:13 - II. Nicht zu geschwind und sehr singbar vorgetragen ("Not too swiftly and conveyed in a singing manner"): E major
I am already 66 years old and had been a fan of Valentina for many years now. I have listened to many you tube pianist/performers but Valentina to me is the BEST. She is a serious performer, none of that dazzle and flash look at me kind of thing, just pure and unadulterated piano virtuoso who is able to bring to the audience the deep emotion that classical music are meant to convey. May she be bless and be with us for many years to come.
When she plays, Valentina looks absolutely like a magic being - a powerful demi-goddess who commands the grand piano and makes music come alive. Thank you ever so much for your magic, Valentina, who can listen to you and not fall in love with your grand talent?
Великолепная Валентина! Как редко можно послушать мастеров с отсутствием проблем в технике исполнения произведений. Необычайный профессионализм! Любое мировое пианистическое произведение Вам доступно! Просто класс!

Valentina, how can I thank you? This interpretation makes me cry. And at the end of the first part, I suddenly saw a comforting smile on your face. I have no words more. This is love! 💙💙💙💙💙 I am 73, a pianist too (Cons. Solodipl.)
Beautiful interpretation. It’s a great joy to see you back with more fantastic videos. I’ll never forget when I saw you play beautifully Mussorgsky in France a few years ago. Thank you for sharing your love of music and gracing us with your impressive talent ✨
Beethoven composed many sweet melodies. That's what he means mainly to me. All the thunderous 'rage' and whatever, was spicing on the cake. The melody, echoes of it, and variations of it, is where the real meat is.
I think it's not an exaggeration but this Beethoven cycle of Valentina's is the most clear and transparent in terms of voicing. I haven't heard something similar anywhere before. If only Beethoven could listen to her play his works.
Valentina, your resumption of the cycle of Beethoven Sonatas is most welcome and I'm looking forward to hearing the remaining sonatas. I will be adding your interpretation of this monumental undertaking to the others in my collection. The beautiful Sonata in E minor is beginning to take in the first breaths of Nineteenth Century Romanticism; there is something almost Chopin like in the terse urgency and enigmatic reflections in the first movement while the second has a song like discourse reminicsent of Schubert. Beautiful performance as ever. Everything that Schindler wrote about Beethoven should be taken with a large dose of salt. Thank you for sharing.
Excellent performance. Of course (like, I suspect, many others romantically inclinced) it's the gorgeous 2nd movement that I tune in for. The singing phrasing and tempo were spot on. Here comes Schubert!
You play heavenly like an angle. You have an amazing skill to transfer your musical emotions to your audience. Keep up your great job. It make us happy :)
In the introduction I can read that this Les Adieux was a "Kampf zwischen Kopf und Herz" for Beethoven. Luckily it seems as if Kopf und Herz in Valentina Lisitsas playing have come to an agreement, this is my conclusion depending of the way she is playing this. Head and heart seems to be unified in her wonderful interpretation of this Beethovens masterpiece.
Val, your playing is superb as always! I do have a question: Did you and Bosendorfer have a falling out? You seem to perform exclusively on Steinways lately.
No I think they’re fine, I saw her Tchaikovsky album in the window of Bösendorfer salon in Vienna. They also still have her artist photo up in the showroom.

She is able to bring the composers artistry alive again.
To top it off she really enjoys playing as evidenced by her charming smile ; D

Valentina makes the music come alive ! Somewhere Ludwig has a smile on his face !
Ludwig ??
Wouldn’t Ludz be cooler ?

Some of the piano ladies on RUclips try to dress as sexy as possible (high heels and all) to attract viewers. Valentina doesn't need that.

You are wonderfully talented and you have a very intelligent and realistic mind.
Bravissima. Bella interpretazione, fatta di sentimento che suscita emozione 👏👏👏❤️😘🌹

Cuánto me alegro que hayas retomado las sonatas de Beethoven. Muchas gracias! Grande...

What kind of angle does she play like? A right angle? Obtuse, or (dare I say), acute??
@@popstarweasel1 Certainly not obtuse!

Bravissima Valentina! Ieri sera sei stata strepitosa! Ci vediamo per la replica questa sera con Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto no.2 op.18
Imagine memorizing these songs, let alone playing them so exquisitely.
I had seven years of lessons, annually was a public recital. No music allowed. Once you've rehearsed enough it becomes second nature.
Your playing is more like a prayer to God.
