Personally I would’ve kept Kana in tact simply so that it could be customized into a character that more closely resembles original series so that perhaps better stories could be told with it.
Fun fact A fan made an engine called “Kahana” and the same design as Kanah but with a square face and made it before Kahana Mattel saw this and liked it, so they made Kanah just like Kahana and used different personalities So really we should have Kahana
I honestly think that Kana is a redeemable character. Or one of the only characters that I think are redeemable in AEG. Everyone else, is just remade to be crappy and they were hits in the OG series. Except for Sandy.

This is kind of therapeutic tbh. When i was younger, my mum and dad couldn't afford the super expensive train toys so they got me thomas and friends toys and DVDs and I love them so much still. When I saw the price of 7 dollars, my jaw dropped. No wonder Thomas isn't doing well when the new recent show scares off longtime viewers from its tone and artstyle shift and more importantly that they are INFLATING the price so heavily that lower-income families similar to my own back then can't even afford them (sorry if this is worded weird I hope other commenters understand)
