The rainy season in El Salvador usually starts from May to October, but don't let that stop you from visiting this beautiful country. The rain is not constant, and it usually pours in the afternoon or at night, leaving the mornings and early afternoons sunny and beautiful. We had the perfect balance of sun, rain, and breeze throughout our stay. The best part about coming during the rainy season is that it's not crowded.
We stayed at the beautiful Rancho Bella vista in Barra Salada, which we found through www.VacationsElSalvador.com (whatsapp +50370447165). It has direct ocean views and 4 bedrooms, all with their own AC, and 3 complete bathrooms. The living area and dining room are al fresco, perfect to enjoy the spectacular lightning shows at night and soak up the perfect ocean breeze during the day. There is a large pool with ocean front views and multiple hammocks to swing your cares away. The place had everything we needed for a comfortable and cozy stay. It was a perfect escape from city life, surrounded by palm trees, and with an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean. It felt like we had a private beach all to ourselves. It was so tranquil.
But what I loved the most about our vacation was how AMAZING everyone in Barra Salada was: Roberto, a local fisherman lives right next door to Rancho Bella Vista and can catch you fresh fish for a fair fee, we got 5 pounds of clean fresh fish for only $10. It was incredible to watch his whole family; mother, wife, daughter, and dogs greet him on the shore as he returned triumphant with the catch of the day!
Happy Market is the local supermercado and it is like a grocery store and a giant tiendita had a baby…and it was happy 🙂They have a great selection of a little bit of everything including food, drinks, medicine, clothes, and even pool cleaning supplies. It is very reasonably priced and everyone is so nice!
Karitos Pizza is another hidden gem in Barra Salada, El Salvador. Not only is Karito (short for Karol) incredibly sweet but she is an amazing chef and she whipped up some of the tastiest pizzas for us to enjoy! 10/10 recommend.
So, if you're looking for an adventure, I highly recommend visiting El Salvador during the rainy season. And when you do, make sure to book your stay at Rancho Bella vista through www.VacationsElSalvador.com, and don't forget to check out the local vendors in Barra Salada!

Have you never read Paulo Coelho? He's am incredible writer and the book isn't originally in English so while it loses a bit in the interpretation it's a beautiful allegorical novel with many life lessons hidden in prose. I promise it's amazing but I can understand it's not everyone's cup of tea 😊

I'm a reader of technical material so no, I haven't. I'm not into artistic stuff like that which can be interpreted as the reader wishes. I get enough of that in music but I'm there for the sounds not the words of songs. But that can be fun too.
So basically your vid here just popped up in my feed and I gave it a listen. I'm more into travelers and explorers, particularly on moto. I'm really liking El Salvador now with President Bukele setting the example for how presidents should act. But I started years ago when he gifted Jordan and Kaylee a new laptop after something happened to theirs as they traveled through his country documenting their experiences.
I take it you've taken up residence in El Salvador?
We watch "Jose Luis Xplorer" as he rides around and documents that beautiful country. We hope to go there and travel around sometime soon, si Dios lo permite.

DANGEROUS TO HAVE AN EMPTY BEACH...THERES WHERE THE MOST DROWNINGS HAPPEN...BEAUTIFUL PLACE THOUGH
I wouldn't call this beach a swimming beach... It's not a surfing beach or party beach either it's definitely a fishing beach. Beautiful to watch and enjoy and splash your feet at the shore but the waves are very strong at Barra Salada I highly recommend swimming in the pool at Rancho Bella Vista and enjoying the sounds and views of the ocean 😁

Was wondering if you guys own your home and what's the process of purchasing a property in El Salvador.
We are currently renting but hoping to buy or home one day. The process of purchasing a home here is pretty similar to the US I highly recommend you have a relator and legal advisor you trust when buying a home anywhere because it is a large investment.

Hi, Carol! Could you please tell about giving birth in El Salvador? Is it possible to give birth at home and how to find a midwife? Or are there private clinics where it’s possible for a woman to give birth without unnecessary medical interference?
Absolutely 😊 💙 I have given birth in El Salvador twice and I wouldn't want to have done it anywhere else. The care both my daughters and I received was amazing and I am eternally grateful.
I had them both at a private hospital here hospital de la mujer. My drs were two incredible bilingual women and my pediatrician who attended the births was born to take care of babies.
The idea was to go natural and My drs shows my to carry Luna until the end of 41 weeks but because I started losing fluids I was induced. Epidurals are available at private hospitals here but not common practice and I labored through pitoson for 12 hours without progressing (Luna had gotten lost on the way out and got stuck 😂) an unscheduled c section was necessary. At this point I received a spinal block and Luna arrived 15 minutes later. Because of this Phoenix was a planned c section.
I do not know that home births are allowed here these days but there are different birthing options; public free hospitals, private hospitals, and birthing centers which I believe alloe for water births etc.
I was. Encouraged to Walk around around as I was laboring and my care was incredible. The hospital even had a payment plan leading up to delivery, kind of like baby lay away 😂 all in all my c sections cost about 4k each (without any insurance).
