the dubbing of konkona's voice is exceedingly irritating. surely it could have been done in her natural voice. she speaks hindi and has a naturally mellifluous voice. spoilt the film for me.

Wached it in bengali years ago without subtitles. Although i could hardly understand the language, still loved the movie. Big fan of bangla movies and literature all along. I wish more and more movies had subtitles for non- bengali viewers❤❤.Always try to find feluda with subtitles. I totally believe the real essence of story goes away with dubbed version.

Portral of aesthetics of those old golden days and way of expressing love through poetry and letters those dry roses ❤ have my all heart !!! I can feel the deepness of those ( hats off) but i like pisi maa 's bangal accent (as a bengali ofc) but hindi version is grt !!!❤
So the hindi version cut the starting scene.... (18+ scene). Aparna Sen beautifully portraits the real picture of widows by that scene in her elegant film "Goynar Baksho" (2013) (Language: Bengali).
worst ending....I was expecting something good why they are supporting extra marrital affair...she didnt even know the man who was following her at night then why they create a scenario 😒how can someone fall in love with an unknown person just because he gave her rose and wrote letters..or because her husband also visited a lady that does not mean she also do the same...adultery is legal but please dont promote it....if u think this is normal then divorce 1st and then live with you lover....don't play with someone emotions and heart

I have seen that movie also . But brother I personally think this film is exactly a partial reflection of the then socio-economic viewpoint of a girl. Every time a film is made , it reflects the time of that period, that struggle, the condition of society, the thought of the people. This film is not the exception as well. I also personally think that we should watch an movie with a neutral perspective as if any ideology or viewpoint acts as a philosopher stone to decipher the movie , bios could be emerged.
