That's what happened to AJ Mitchell and "Used To Be." Now 18, the Illinois native has been part of our DSCVR: Artists To Watch program, and graduated to Vevo LIFT this year, too. Mitchell has flaunted both craft and charisma for several years now, initially earning himself a strong following with his R&B covers on RUclips, and then releasing his own material on 2018's 'Hopeful' EP. From "Girls" to "All My Friends" to "Slow Dance," his recent string of tracks gets more and more impressive. We shot him for our LIFT Live series, and as you can see, the fans loved it.
