Looks like a good little market in the Bankstown part of my favourite rugby league team’s territory 👌 That airport next door housed a PBY Catalina water plane that the Rathmines (Lake Macquarie) Catalina society owns and are restoring but think it has moved to a an airport in Hunter Valley. That Kombi is great and the Mini not bad either👌
You're a Doggy's supporter ? I thought you'd be a Knight ! Yeah, I look forward to going back to that market; I believe it's on every Sunday. The Combi's a giveaway, but that $1 Mini is a keeper. Thanks Mark. 👨🚒👍🍻
@@redtrux..000..FIRE. I’ve been a Doggy’s supporter since when they won the 1980 grand final but the Knights who didn’t enter comp till ‘88 are a 2nd favourite team. The only Sydney market I’ve been to was at the Blacktown drive in,as it’s near Eastern Creek … my wife spotted it as she dropped me off at Muscle Car Masters (I was driving) A big market, only remember seeing one diecast seller I bought cars off but can’t remember what I bought.
@MarksDiecastAndResinScale Being a Roosters supporter since '75, that 1980 GF is a bad memory for me. I remember Brentnall putting up the bomb, and Gearin running through & catching it, to score a try, and Glossops reaction. Hated the "Doggys" ever since. Back in the '80's & 90's, they always got the better of us. Luckily these days, we seem to have the wood on them. Yeah, we considered going to Blacktown markets, but apparently you have to pay to park in the drive-in area, and also pay for entering the actual market. I guess you'll be parked in front of your TV all weekend? 👨🚒👍🇦🇺
Looks like you had a fun morning out with the Mrs, even if she wouldn’t let you try coconut coffee. You bought two castings that are right up my alley.
Thanks Paul. I bought the Mini because of the stuff in the luggage rack, and it will also be a reminder of my first visit to that market. Plus, it only cost a dollar. The VW is for Bigkeg..but don't tell him.🤫 I'll get that Coconut Coffee next time ! 👊👨🚒🇦🇺
Moin from Cux 👋🏻 Flea markets, aka gold mines for collectors 😁 And if it's a new flea market, well... 😃 Let's take a look around 👀 (0:30) Errr... Not just Big Keg (Shoutout, mate 😉) is interested in a ute like this 😂 I know a couple on the North Sea shore who likes something like that, too (👩🏻🦰🤠) 😇🤣 (1:19) Durian fruit Ok... for a northern German coastal dweller it looks like a "hairy watermelon" 🍉 🙄😂 Since my missus 👩🏻🦰 has already traveled to Asia, she of course knew what that was. (Did I mention that she tries everything there is to eat in the world? Quote 👩🏻🦰: Delicious 😋 fruity with a spicy note. Bureks and Zaatars look YUMMY I'm kinda getting hungry right now 😏) (3:45) For a moment I thought... The gentleman seen from behind... MARTY! (It probably wasn't him, but there's a similarity. At this point: Shoutout, Marty 🇦🇺🐨👋🏼) (8:52) Holden 1-ton ute I'm sorry, but this is my personal highlight 🤩) And finally: V-dub T1(2?) ute + Mini Excellent condition for a flea market find 🤩👍🏼 and the two-tone paintwork is superb. Jim, I'm thrilled, definitely both thumbs up for it 👍🏼👍🏼 Many a thanks for sharing 🙏🏼 and for allowing me to be there, virtually. Keep it up, mate 😉 Have a ripper weekend for you and your family and stay safe and sound. Greetings from the dark, cold North Sea shore (Local time 8:35 pm) 👍🏼🇦🇺👨🏻🚒🍻🤠🇩🇪👍🏼
Looks like fun. That surfboard is a lot bigger that the board I ride. Thanks for the shout out. The surf here this weekend is going to be good. Thanks for taking us along . Have a great weekend.
@briansdiecastthailandstoth6747 Thanks Brian. It can be a challenge sometimes, because some stallholders don't want you filming their merchandise. I had no trouble at this market. 👨🚒👍🍻
@1969DIABOLIC Thanks Rui ! Ah yes, the planes. There is an airport right next to market, for small propeller planes. Have a great weekend, my friend ! 👊👨🚒🇦🇺
I havnt been to Bankstown for years, I used to work right near there for many years. You should tell your diecast guy to try my markets, I think its around $30 or so for the hire fee. Have a great weekend mate :)
Thanks, Fex. I always considered Bankstown more of a Middle Eastern suburb like Lakemba. But after the market, the missus and I went to the main shopping area, and we were surprised at how many shops were Vietnamese...it's more like Cabramatta ! $30 is very cheap for a stall, I'll mention it to him. 👊👨🚒🇦🇺
I think that undercover section is the main betting area, where people gamble on which horse will win. Did you see the Durians? Thanks for watching ! 👨🚒👍🇦🇺
@bigkeg9173 I used to have a couple of tropical tanks, so I know how much effort would go into setting up these displays. Yeah, the Banh Mi was pretty tasty ! Thanks BK ! 👊👨🚒🍻
@bigkeg9173 Guppies are cool because they have so many babies, and they're all different colours. I had a lot of different species ranging from Neon Tetras, Catfish, Cichlids, and I even tried those miniature shrimps at one stage. Then we moved house, and I got rid of them all. That's when Diecast became my new hobby.
@@redtrux..000..FIRE. You jogged my memory lol Neon tetras and gouramis but they were in another tank. I had 3 tanks. Guppies, swordtail and the gouramis I still watch a lot of fish channels and was going to set up a tank but I had to move. No room here lol
