Man, thank you so much for this video. I’m a 2 felon and it’s been hard to find work. I’ve wanted to drive for about 5 years. I had a felony warrant from CA and knew I couldn’t get hired. I finally got that dealt with, 10 years later. Now I can finally do it. Been out of trouble coming up on 9 years, just taking care of my kids and trying to be a good person and father. I’m thankful for your information, now I know I have a chance at bettering my kids and wife’s life. Thanks man. 🤙🏽 I pray we both get to be great helpful members of society.

I have a jacked up past as well. It was many years ago and now it doesn't even affect me. I have a hazmat, twic, tanker, triples, federal clearance and have no problem finding a job. Felony means absolutely nothing. Lots of companies will hire you because they will receive a significant tax credit. A friend of mine has a murder conviction and hauls hazmat.

My charge happened in 1999 convicted in 2001 “Breach of trust w/fraud intent over $10” and it’s hard for me! It’s hard with no experience! I’ve had my cdl since 7/2022! I’m about over it!
Try Craigslists , or FB they usually have groups titled Felon Friendly CDL jobs or something of that nature

The word felon is a very vague description of many different things a lot of times they look at the type of felony and how old is the older the better by the truck driving school that I went to in the Detroit area they had a program a prison program that they were putting parolees in the truck driving school to get their CDL I don’t know where they were going to work with somebody was obviously hiring them,
@0killerstrike0 usually the way a "felon" gets his foot in the door somewhere is when part of a large goup of other felons involved in some kind of second chance program but at some point some felonies are old enough to overlook sometimes 5 or 7 years and over 10 it really dont matter but can still be used against you depemds but usually a felon gets less slack and just has to plain old be twice as good as the average guy

Ohio and michigan,have trucking schools in prison player, western and ptl,and usa .will hire anybody
For real, for real, schools should go over what companies hire who. Imagine getting your CDL and nobody hires you. That would be a nightmare! Company's shouldn't be so harsh in the hiring process of truckers. If you steal something, your ass go to jail. And your career in trucking is f***Ed up! Company's spend waayyyy more for accidents, shifting loads, and breakdowns, than they do for driver theft. Most are grateful to have a trucker job, and not trying to f**k it up.

I have 3 misdemeanors assault resisting arrest and obstruction of official business… 2 of the 3 were “NOLLED” dismissed/ not wish to prosecute and I did probation for the 3rd one no jail time at all this happened in 2020 you think I should be good, considering it’s just misdemeanors? Plus the major ones were nolled.
I've been going through it the last few weeks. We, my hubs and I, have changed our entire lives around in the past 8 yrs. Then bam an old issue came back up just this year and now I'm on probation for it 🤦♀️ it had been almost 10 yrs shove my last conviction and now I have to deal with this all over again. Thankfully my probation officer and judge are super supportive of my career but finding a company to take that leap bc of the recent conviction has been hell. I work for a local company now and dude is awesome, the pay just isn't the greatest. We are wanting to drive team for the next year to stack that dough.
Anyway once I secure a new job I'll make a video to let ppl with recent felonies know who to go with.

When filling out an application should I put that I have been convicted before even if the conviction was in 2010..I was convicted then but I got out late last year, what do u think
My best advice to anyone with felonies is to see if you can get your record sealed or expunged in your State. Doing that will guarantee employers cannot find any conviction history and you will technically no longer be a convicted felon. I had a friend who did this! once he finished probation his Lawyer filed a motion for his record to be sealed and it was granted! he was able to hop right back into the industry with a clean slate! Every state is different so plz check with a lawyer in your area and get the information straight from a Legal Professional.
Talking with swift right now glad to know they say seven years cause it’s been just that… I know how you feel about getting discouraged bruh I been trying to find a company for about a month now trying to work around my felony.. I test tomorrow finally finish with the classroom, observing hours and driving hours…

Exactly I was arrested in 2019 stayed in the county jail until 2022 went to court got convicted but got time served and was released the same day so when they ask date of conviction it’s not even a year fresh even tho the crime is 3 grata old

Thanks for information on felonies! I got my felonies in 2000 and 2004 and I ended up going to prison in 2006 on a 7 year sentence ! I got off parole in 2013! I should be eligible to drive a truck now! I have always wanted to drive a truck!

Get on Facebook and join pages for SAP drivers , always make sure that’s the first thing you bring to their attention when you’re talking to recruiters don’t be afraid of no , because you’ll get a lot but don’t let that discourage you keep applying to about 10-15 jobs a day , call them and stay consistent also get sober asap if you aren’t already, I usually recommend Craigslist & Indeed
