Nice music of that time, when I was young, with very good settings, the Sakara drum was a balanced one on both sides of the record with fine vocals that matched it
This was Were music and was released to rescue Omowura from Olowonyo. Omowura was Kollington's mentor while Olowonyo was Barrister's mentor. Kollington wasn't an experienced musician then and was replying Olowonyo directly.
This is seriously serious..... Alh. Killington ayinla, you're indeed a musical legend, those that directly involved in the fight has all gone...... Life is vanity, eye kia s'aiye jeje
Killington was talking to olowonyo, he was very smart doing that, because he was with omowura. And kollinton knew been close to omowura then could help him grown in terms of spiritual means and get full support as well, just like omowura was accepted by many people then. Killington really need omowura to grown his music career so it was necessary for him to join him fight olowonyo in other to make name and attain, his aims

Alhaji Kollinghton ayinla is a well respected fuji musician he and his friend Dr Sikiru Ayinde Barrister played an important role to make Fuji music an household music.
this is Kolington response to Alhaji Fatai Olowoyo hit of Elewure wole on Alhaji Ayinla Omowura then his boss in the early 70s. The music war was real then, respect to Barrister who ended the grievances.
This is raw fuji played by Alhaji Kollington Ayinla here, apparently his first record. It is true we now appreciate fast tempo fuji, but we must not allow this sort of fuji composition to disappear into extinction, I just wish fuji artists could sing a track similar to this in their songs to keep this type of song alive. The intro of the side 2 is similar to the intro of Ayinde Barrister vol 4 titled "Itan Anobi Rasaki" released around 1973. Alhaji Fatai Olowonyo responded to this song in one of his albums, he simply asked Ayinla Omowura to call him to order, he went thus....Buroda, Eni ti e ran wa kere simi, se iru awon eyan bayi ni a wa nwi?
Alhj.Fatai Olowonyo - Abode Mecca Thank you Okuboro for your brilliant analysis. This album by Alhj.Kollington Ayinla is possibly his second release following "Ema fi Oro Iya Sere/Iya ni wura". I fully share your sentiment about the need for many of our current artistes to maintain the traditional line and not to allow their quest for modernization to override our cultural identities. The link above could be one of Alhj.Olowonyo's albums you referring to.
In as much as i fully agree with u on the need to preserve the traditional way of rendering Fuji music, one must admit the fact that music/genre of music can never be static forever. It is bound to undergo some transformation. Even the likes of Barrister had almost totally left the slow pace fuji genre before his death. Kollington too has changed to a somewhat fast pace. But all in all, what is most important is for upcoming fuji artistes to recognize this original/ traditional version of fuji and to ocassionally do a track of same , just to keep d old times alive.
This is the music that catapults K.Ayinla career my mother told me this music was like bomb back in the days then since then she started following his music cause the way he came out for Olowonyo was unexpected and really hit hard .. lol I really like this type of the Fuji so much unlike what we listen to today Now I understand why my mother told me this baba got A1 in abusing song that no one come close hahah ..
