EPIC: The Musical by Jorge Rivera-Herrans /@JayHerrans /
Hullo~ Me Polyphemus- Welcome to my cave- I mean, channel.
I'm suffering with the keywords again. Nobody knows how to use them... so let's ask Odysseus (awful pun intended)
And RUclips please don't restrict this, I love sheep, it's Homer's fault... and it's only a drawing...
-----------------------------
What is EPIC: The Musical, you might ask. In a nutshell, EPIC is an adaptation of Homer's The Odyssey written by Jorge Rivera-Herrans and it was inspired by video games and animes.

Lyrics written by Jorge Rivera-Herrans
Over here
Look at all this food!
Look at all these sheep!
I can't believe this cave has all this for us to keep!
I've gotta hand it to you both
This is quite the treat
There are enough sheep here to
Feed the entire fleet
It's almost too perfect
Too good to be true
Why would the lotus eaters pass up on all this food?
Who are you?
Hey there!
We're just travelers
We come in peace
You killed my sheep
My favorite sheep
What gives you the right to deal a pain so deep?
Don't you know that pain you sow is pain you reap?
Time to drink your blood over where you stand
Your life now is in my hand
Before I'm done
You will learn that it's not so fun to take
You came to my home to steal
But now you'll become my meal
A trade you see?
Take from you, like you took from me
There's been a misunderstanding
We never came here to steal
But now that I see we've done some damage
Maybe you and I can make a deal
I'll give you our finest treasure
So long as we leave alive
You can keep the world's best tasting wine
Wine?
Have a drink!
One sip and you'll understand
The power that's in your hands
A wine so fresh
You'd never wanna eat human flesh again
Then we shall be on our way
No bloodshed in here today
A trade you see?
A gift from you and a gift from me
Ahh
I'd like to thank you
Stranger, what's your name?
My name is Nobody, Nobody, Nobody
Nobody
For your gift I've one to reply
I'm so glad we see eye to eye
Yes
You shall be the final man to die
What
Watch out!
Stay safe and remember not to steal a random cyclops' pets.

My headcanon. Polyphemus did accept the wine as penance for the sheep. His carnivorous rage that followed was just for the "eye to eye" pun
As someone who makes puns, carnivorous rage is the usual reaction
i was just about to say this
IVE BEEN SAYING THAT
the wine was a joke and polyphemus knew that. the issue here is simple, one saw the sheep as mindless food while the other saw it as a herd he was in charge of and one of his flock was taken from him without permission
@@aribounty327as a fellow pun maker a true statement has never been said
"I'm so glad we could see eye to eye." The man just couldnt resist. I love how the cyclops just replies 'yes' like he's heard the joke before and has gotten tired of it.
He probably was gonna let them go but he couldn’t let that slide.
@@jayari7674fr
love the way Odysseus looked when calling himself "nobody", his shadow looked perfect for a trickster like he was!
Agreed, the lotus eater's ears made the shape of horns on his shadow
And lotos eater's head looks like a crown on Odysseus's head.
what shadow?? please dont tell me i missed it
nvm found it
I think it was supposed to be the shadow of Athena. The hornse would have been her helmet
P.S. I realized now. Sheep are so calm with complete strangers because Polyphemus has always protected and treated them with care, they don't know the concept of being afraid of predators or monsters like humans. I'm crying cvcvc.
Omg. That is literally sooo sad. 😭😭😭😭
Especially his favourite sheep which is likely used to being actively encouraged to come to him with affection
OMG NOOOO😭
Helios cows too
I think you deserve the title of the scariest Polyphemus design. Each movement, each point of view, even him opening his "mouth". It's like he crawled out of hell truly beautiful
Polyphemus really out here looking like an elderitch horror-
Scariest, but least accurate. Cyclops, supposedly, are just the big dudes with one eye. Not like im complaining tho.

Shush it's cool
@@fictional-girl_05 Shush your shush, not like im disagree.
I LOVE this design of Polyphemus. I love how his mouth, horns, and back spines... remind me of crustaceans like crabs... giving a little hint at the fact that this is a son of Poseidon, the god of the ocean.
and his legs are honse legs, also depicting Poseidon being the god of horses
Me too
Is that just me or Odysseus almost looks scarier than the cyclop ? Like, the cyclop is freaking scary in its own right. But Odysseus, oh boy... the lightning, the star effect, the camera angle...they guy has the control of the situation and he know it !
Yessss... *happy tiny victory dance
I guess it has something to do with what Jay said about Odysseus. The times we hear him, are just before the fight, never DURING the fight. Makes him that badass
the man just destoyed a city and ended a 10 years war (And killed an infant)
I mean that is kinda the vibe of the story, Polyphemus is a 'monster' but the chain of events is literally he got his house broken into, his pets/food killed, and drugged and attacked by some rando band of dinks, Odysseus is for sure the 'aggressor' in the story so it makes sense to have him be so in control of things and feel confidant up until he realizes Polyphemus is actually going to attack anyway.
@@shotgunbadger it must be said that Odysseus is the aggressor from a modern point of view, in ancient Greece hospitality was sacred and not welcoming someone into one's home was a crime against Zeus. Polyphemus is Poseidon's son so he doesn't care and, from a greek POV he is a worse monter for not respecting the rules of "Xenia" the sacred hospitality
I'm lowkey with Polyphemus on this one... if you broke into my home, and killed my birds... you're not leaving in one piece xD
Yea ! When John Wick goes all berserk when they killed his dogs nobody said anything but when Polythemus does it he's the bad guy somehow 😒
@@nathan7605 original context his reaction is more of an overreaction. this new context adds to the depths of jsut how much these guys wronged em.
Not even with a 10 year Malbec-Merlot wine? A whole barrel? (That's around 50 liters)
"no blood shed here today" and showing killed sheep in the foreground, brilliant!
The way Polyphemus looks at them with curiosity at first, then sees the dead sheep.
As I said in Instagram, it’s almost cat like the way he crawls.
The cyclops was actually going to spare them, but them Odysseus had Odassity to pull the eye-to-eye joke and Polyphemus just had enough
Odassity. Why didn’t I think of that?😂
Man, I like that you made the monster design so unique, rather than just making it a giant human
It does emphasise he's not like other cyclops. Pretty creative and amazing choice.
@@JabamiLainhelp why’d i imagine Polyphemus hiding his makeup and saying “I dOnT uSe MaKeUp! I’m NoT lIkE oThEr CyClOpSeS!”
"Don't you know that pain you sow is pain you reap?"
Taking into account what happens next, Polyphemus should have kept in mind his own advice.
I think it’s “Weep” not “Reap”
@@theofficalsilentraven it’s reap. It’s just the effects on his voice that make it kinda hard to understand him
@@theofficalsilentravenit's reap, it's a play on the saying, you reap what you sow. Talking about how you sow seeds and reap them at the harvest
eye for an eye indeed though the epic really paints a new context.
they greatly wronged the cyclops here. they saw all this food and signs of habitation, and their first thoguht was to plunder and thieve, not taking into account that maybe the place has an owner or owners. including killing one of the sheep, without permission.
polyphemous may not have been an actual threat otherwise. savage though he is, he only seemed to want to kill the rest of them after the insult of saying that one drink of wine was equal to his lost pet and companion, after they invaded his home. odtyseeues presumed a dull creature he could easily trick. Instead he just further insulted someone he already wronged.
makes more sense why poseidon was so offended. Even if polyphemus wasn't a favored son of poseidon by any means, it was still HIS son, and he had been mutilated by some home invaders that had the gal to blame him for defending what is his.
These men make the same mistake again later when the slaughter sacred cattle.
Aside from the poor lotus-eater, I also love the moment at 2:40 where we can see the dead sheep while Odysseus is singing "no bloodshed in here today". That always struck me as a particularly tone-deaf thing to say on his part, given how Polyphemus had literally just told them all how heartbroken he was about the death of the sheep (he even cries at 1:32 here).
Yeah. Probably why Polyphemus still wants to eat him. Since, well, they are clearly robbers who try to steal his sheep. If they weren't, why did they shoot it?
@@fbiuzz I might be wrong but the actual reason for why the cyclops decided to attack was the pun oddyseus made. "an eye for an eye" the poly picked it up as an insult since cyclops are insecure about theyre one eye
do lie to a god as lying is a sin for the god remember all
Well I mean in his eyes it's just cattle not a living breathing person though in the cyclops's eye it's family from the way that the Cyclops talks... but I'm not sure Odysseus realized just how important the Sheep was.
It less tone-deaf, and more fast talking. After all, as far as he's concerned that sheep was a wool and milk machine, not a person, and he did offer weregild.
0:24 I know this isn’t a huge thing but can we just appreciate how Polites is petting the sheep-
And at the very beginning he had one of the lotus eaters on his shoulder
I love the detail that Odysseus looks at the lotus eater when he asks “why would the lotus eaters pass up on all this food?”
It’s almost like he was asking that to the Lotus Eater
Anyone else noticed how when polyphemus said "nobody.." the glow from his eye casted an interesting shadow behind odysseus that looked inhuman and almost kind of like the cyclops?
It was athena's figure!

I did not realize that it was Athena until i saw someone mention it in the comments. It is very clever
Holy shit Polyphemus' design is truly horrifying and I love it. So much better than basic cyclops design of big man but with one eye. Makes it so they know they're truly out of their element just by seeing him.
I have nothing against the classic design of bigger human with one eye, but it gets a bit boring after seeing it so much.
@@warriorwatch2406 Exactly. It's so boring seeing it repeatedly, so seeing a design like this is amazing
I like that despite giving him a demonic appearance, you had Polyphemus grieve over his sheep, tears and all.
God this is definitely the most unique Polyphemus design I have seen in all of media. He truly does look like the son of a sea god here. It's so otherworldly
Well, according to the myths (and at least one statue) cyclopses generally are just extremely large men (with one eye).
@@fredfry5100And according to countless medieval paintings of foreign lands, it’s extremely common for descriptions of creatures and people to not be the best indicator of what they actually looked like.
@@skycastrum5803 Oh I'm aware of that. But these are mythological creatures we're talking about.
@@fredfry5100 Sure. But what do you see as the purpose of being true to the general interpretation of myths? Perhaps increased level of authenticity? That may be good if you are creating a reenactment, but I wouldn't really say that's the goal of Epic.
This version of Polythemus is solid. It's not a "modern" take, designed to be better understood by modern audiences. Rather, it enhances the internal consistency of the story in ways a book wouldn't be able to. It emphasizes the connection to Poseidon, the alieness that prevents the two sides from reaching an understanding, and the way descriptions can never capture the experience of seeing something up close. It's immersive.
Sorry for the word dump. I was finding the people here talking about how cyclops are traditionally depicted to be mildly annoying since it felt like they were missing the point for what made this version so good.
I like how Polyphemus isn't just using his sheep's death as an excuse to kill Odysseus and his men, when he first picked up its corpse there's a slight tremble to his hand & he starts to cry when he clutches it to his chest, he truly did care for that sheep.
No offense but little correction.
"he truly did car for that sheep."
You missed the "e" in care.
Fr i don't blame him for going berserk on them, they pretty much invaded his home and then killed his favourite pet. I would be pretty pissed too, but it still doesn't change the fact that he could be more civil with them to avoid further bloodshed
@@Nah_id_win_883 I can see were your coming from, but back in ancient Greece people could be killed for very menial reasons, such as not being a hospitable host or being a disrespected guest, also gref tends to blind people (Ha I made a funny) and cause them to act without thinking.
Every time I listen to the cyclops saga I just end up feeling really bad for them, like imagine someone broke into your house, stole your food, killed your pet then blinded you
I like ‘car-ing’ over sheep too :)
The crawling done by Polyphemus in the beginning is incredible. It brilliantly shows the size difference between the cyclops and the men, not to mention makes him a little unnerving on top of his incredibly horrifying monster design. I also loved Polyphemus picking Odysseus up and holding him up ready to drop him in his mouth yet Odysseus is able to manipulate and control the situation in his favor to save himself. It shows off just how much of a warrior of the mind Odysseus is with his cunningness and quick thinking. This is another wonderful animatic and I can't wait to see what you do next.
and better.
that tie situation turns on its head from there. he didn't manipualte and contro lthe situation. he jsut managed to further offend the cyclops to the point he was gonna unleash his rage upon them all, and leave odysseus the last man alive.
I will never get over just how terrifyingly badass and unique Polyphemus design is. Also love the hints of story telling with the lotus eater. It''s a small thing but without context of the epic (Homor's) that a lot of us lose over the years, it's a nice foreshadowing that Odysseus has spiked the wine with lotus . And gotta love the "Nobody"- it's my favorite thing the see in every animatic cover of this song.
The crawling over to the sheep gave me chills
I’m kind of like to think that this design of Polyphemus is how most forms of media should have the Cyclops portrayed because it fits the whole son of Poseidon aspect in this variation
oh yea, the crab/sea creature ilke face, the horse like back legs. a monster but a monster from a go'ds loins.
like that the depiction this guy went with is more sympathetic too. mofo is a monster but, well, look how well cared for his herd is. how he weeps for his murdered pet. how offended he becomse after they presumed what is barely a shotglass of wine to him is equal to his lost pet, and that he'd b e so easily tricked.
My gosh…the way you have Polites’ glasses reflected in Polyphemus’ eye, like he’s already marked his first kill…
CHRIST I've never seen a cyclops design so terrifying! That mouth!
Also the shadow cast on Odysseus when he says his name is "nobody", and how the little lotus creature on his head makes his shadow have horns? UGH cinema! *chefs kiss*
if this does get a film version it NEEDS to be animated hell get all the main animators together to agree on a style or even a compilation of their unique styles but with the budget to actually animate it.
I takes an incredible talent to humanize a creature designed with the express intent of being foreign and horrifying, but the raw emotion put into Polyphemus' expressions, the way his eye dilates and contracts, absolutely incredible.
Also loved the camera shift to the sheep when Odysseus says "no bloodshed in here today". Like... Bro, you already spilled blood of something the cyclops loved dearly. You cannot let your hubris say stuff like this.
Athena's silhouette in Odyseus shadow was the icing on the cake ! Genius! We need more !❤
I thought it was more like Hermes's shadow kinda represented how Odysseus was being cunning and trickey like heremes since that his great great grandfather even near the end his elegant/flamboyant movement and posture very similar how heremes moves in most media depictions
1:06 THE GROUND SHAKING WHEN HE MOVES, I CAN'T--
yeeeeessss *evil gremlin laugh
I love the detail of giving Polyphemus hooves, with horses being symbolic of Poseidon many seem to gloss over small details and points of interest like that!! the design is phenomenal!
I saw the design for Polyphemus and literally said, out loud, that’s just a demon. So you definitely win scariest Polyphemus design. Great animatic
I haven't seen anyone talking about this but I am in love with the way the camera pans over to the arrow in the sheep when Odysseus says "No blood shed here today"
2:47 omg Ody looks down right devious here, I love the way you drew this shot, honestly, I get why Polyphemus believed him
Idk what's with people and making Ody a seductive bastard during the " nobody" part, but I am 100% here for it
Because he is- */j*
@@that.drawer.mircsy damn right he is lmao
Odyssesus smugness and cockiness were really accentuated by the smooth and elegant movements of Polyphemus
Really well done
Scary, funny and outright amazing
I like the animalistic way Polyphemus moves, makes him feel less human and more otherworldly.
Man walks into his crib, kills his sheep, tries to apologize with spiked wine, and lies about his name. Kinda hard to side with Odysseus In this version
I think this version made it seem like the guys thought it belonged to the lotus eaters since they led them here?
Thank you! That was my intention as a Polyphemus apologist🥲
I LOVE YOUR CYCLOPS! People usually imagine them as bulky, but yours is so unique and I can see how Polyphemus is the son of Poseidon.
Hands down my favorite design I've seen so far. He's more of a animal. And the fact this is poseidons son makes this even better.
Love your epic animatics. Also the emotions and expressions in both Odysseus and Polyphemus was well done. This is probably the 1st animatic I've seen where Polyphemus cries over his favorite sheep.
Also the lotus eater is so cute! I really want it to travel with them on the rest of the journey but considering what I know of the Odyssey it's probably better if the lotus eater stays on the island.
I would never hurt the little lotus eater/winion 🥲 I'll use artistic freedom to save it!
@@that.drawer.mircsy ok good and tysm, cause the only being purer (excluding Telemachus) than the lotus eater is Polites...
And we all know how that went
You would not believe it I was thinking what if the lotus eater has a winon friend who is with Telemachus and got blown to Ithaca when the crew opened up the bag the first time
2:41 the timing on that picture with the words is actually so perfect and makes Odysseus look like a liar and a hypocrite
You really know how to send shivers down someone's spine. This is the scariest animated version I've ever seen, especially because you can really see the difference in sizes and might of Odysseus and Polyphenus
"we come in peace" he says five second after putting lotus seeds in the wine
I absolutely love the way you drew polyphemus, it’s so unique. Your design keeps the signature look of polyphemus-his eye-but the rest is all artistic and original, and I especially love the goat/horse legs!! also the horns really give him an eerie and creepy look..
It really shows the fact he's a son of Poseidon to me; horse legs, and his head reminds me of something you'd see in the deep sea
This animatic just slapped me hard in the face with reality; Polyphemus isnt a villain, he's a victim.
A victim of circumstance, maybe. That is, until the murders start. Then he’s the villain.
The Design is Insane.
It's so simple yet effective.
Even the entrance is awesome. He crawls in so at first he looks smaller than he is and then the reveal of how big he actually is.
I love all the emotions you managed to portray with all the faces, body language both human and cyclops, but the best thing you did in my opinion is how you gave Polyphemus a proper sense of scale and looks and FEELS like something that would have that voice he was given in this interpretation. A strange reverberation that you just rumbles through your entire body as he speaks. It just activates my neurons in the best possible way!
Poluphemus struck FEAR into my heart the moment I saw him enter. Those first few moments where you just take in how big he is and how he crawls about were just terrifying! FANTASTIC JOB!
If I saw Polyphemus, I would just... cry.
The design is so cool and the animatic looks amazing!!!!!
I feel like this is a Polyphemus design that fits the voice.
Most unique and terrifying interpretation of a cyclops. Bravo.
I love the lighting in this because at 3:34 it looks like Polyphemus is about to shoot a laser out of his eye
I knew from Survive you had the scariest Polyphemus yet, but there's so much more to love in this! Wolfy the Witch's was still fantastic as HECC!, but the way you have Odysseus picked up and held overhead, the way he looks so smug, especially when he is tricking the Cyclops! (I recognize that pose at 2:59 dang it!!! WARRIORS OF THE MIND IS THE BEST!!!). This is such a good addition to the collection!!!
You did recognize it but I did not- O.o
Oh my gosh now I see what I've done... Welp, let's say some things never change lol
@that.drawer.mircsy LOL! That makes me feel so special, thank you!
Your Warriors of the Mind animation is what got me into this entire musical. Of course I recognize my (second) favorite scene! (Athena's smirk at being recognized is the chef's kiss)
YES I WAS WAITING FOR THIS! I love your design for Polyphemus. It’s so unique but makes SO much sense.
And the fact (if I recall), Polyphemus is a smaller cyclops. I wonder what the others will look like in “remember them”.
I have some ideas already😏
@@that.drawer.mircsy ooo, can’t wait to see.

Your EPIC animatics are the ones I always find myself re-watching over and over, the details and expressions are so great!!
Like the way Odysseus looks while he's executing and planning his whole scheme is amazing-the glint in his eye and his smirk?? AHH IT ALL LOOKS SO GOOOD!!!
I also love the way you show Odysseus' plan by him looking at the lotus eater, that's such a cool detail!
The horse legs and crustacean-like head are a nice clue to him having a connection to Poseidon
That’s the scariest rendition of a cyclops I’ve ever seen and honestly I’m completely into it
love the design choice of a son of Poseidon having a partial horse body.
Okay but Mircsy, the frame at 1:40 killed me, Polities looked so scared, the poor bean. Amazing work again bud! How do you do THIS??
And 3:28- while Odysseus and Eurylocus look happy and proud, Polities is just the embodiment of “PHEW- do NOT do that again, I may actually have a heart attack”
Holy shit the expressions??? Odysseus having a little lotus eater with him is *inspired*! Look at that little buddy!!!!! This is fantastic work, I can tell how much time you've out into it. Your level of detail- I just *swoons*
OMG THE SOUND IS A BOW?! I NEVER NEW THAT! and ive listened to this a bunch of times >_> I feel stupid now
"You will be the final man to die" got me rolling on the floor
I love the air of arrogance Odysseus has. Like he has everything under control and can appease the great beast into giving Odysseus his way. But things quickly go south
I love the nod to Poseidon with the horse hooves, because the cyclops is his son
I always enjoy at the end how Odysseus is giving a double thumbs up to his friends like "Alright guys I did it! Pacifist ending!", before all hell breaks loose.
I LOVE how Ody pushed Polites and Eury Back when the cyclops Grabs him 1:35 ❤❤
EPIC animatics from you never cease to hit different. Amazing already!
The shiver at Odysseus offer of wine, the way he glanced at the lotus eater and sly smile when he poured in the wine. The expression of his friends immediately after as if to say, he's done it again, winning with his wit
3:25 HAAHAH HE'S LIKE: Everything fine!!
AAgh!! The introductions stand out so well! Seeing Polythemus prowl around at the start like a Curious animal. Then only to have his attention focused on the sheep more than Odysseus really shows odd how some smooth talking wont get them out of this. You really got a ton of emotion put of the cyclops's one eye too i'm so happy to see more of this look!
I love the cyclops deisgn here, way more creative than "big man with one eye", and i like the hooves that hint to his parentage.
0:46 Dear me, I would shit myself to death if I saw that.
YOUR POLYPHEMUS DESIGN IS MAKING ME GO FERAL
HE EVEN HAS HORSE HOOVES!!! BECAUSE HE'S A SON OF POSIEDON, THE GOD OF HORSES!!
THIS IS MY FAVORITE ANIMATIC OF THIS SONG!!! I love how much of a liar Odysseus is
I had only found out about the EPIC musical yesterday and was instantly enamored by it. Now I find your channel and with these gorgeous animatics and now I have to share this with my friends because this is amazing! I adore your designs for Athena, Odysseus, and his men but the real stand out here is Polyphemus. Making him look more like a creature of the deep with his head looking more crustacean like and giving him horse legs, because Poseidon is also the god of horses, is stinking genius!
Thank you!!🥹 And yaaaayyy a new member in the fandom, welcome to the family!
That lil lotus eater is adorable😍😍😍😍 1:51
Really know how to make an unsettling vibe
So many gorgeous details, this will be my go to animation from now on! I can't even list all the ones I picked up on, but especially coming to mind is Polyphemus literally crying over his dead friend, the way Odysseus noticed the lotus eater (plus I love your design of the critters so much from your other animatic lol) on his shoulder which cemented the idea of tricking Polyphemus with lotus in the wine, the way Ody's eyes shone when he uncapped the wine and poured it for Poly, the way Ody looked SO SINISTER in so many frames, the shadow of him with horns like the devil he is. And of course your design for Polyphemus is absolutely stellar. A giant man with one eye is scary. A creature with multiple crab like horns on his head with one shining blood red eye, tapered fingers with sharp nails and hooved feet? That's terrifying.
I can sense some hardcore Mercutio vibes in your Odysseus, and I'm living for it 👌🏻🤌🏻 great job again, Mircsy 🥹❤️
I saw the first minute and was like "Cool!" Then Polyphemus, the most terrifying thing ever climbed out of a hole and I felt my heart drop. Grade A, most terrifying, epic Cyclops design ever
Lol I love how Odysseus just has a lotus eater who is following him on this journey now, imagine if that little guy stays w/ him throughout this entire journey like an animal sidekick😂😂😂😋😋
😏
Truly a descendant of Hermes!! The little sharp tooth in his smile! No wonder he's a KING
I LOVE when artists take liberties with depicting the mythical. Make them scary and confusing, with shifting forms and unknown anatomy. It adds back in that *seasoning* that tends to wear away on tales as well known as this one.
It’s just as rare but I like when Cyclopes are given tusks because the real life origin of the Cyclops is the misinterpretation of an Elephants skull. The Greeks found the skeleton of an elephant and the skull of an elephant looks like it has a single eye socket. The Greeks thought “this is some sort of giant with one eye”
Don’t forget to check the description! You might find answer to your question :D
Thanks for watching everyone!
(I wanted to say here something too but I forgot what it was-) EDIT: OH YEAH! At 1:01 ... watch Odysseus closely hehehehe
I already left a rambling comment about how much I love this animation, but I just wanted to express extra love for all of Odysseus’s _extra smug_ expressions where he’s practically radiating “ahaha I’m such a genius” energy [ 2:46 / 3:11 / 3:25 ] 💕💕💕💕
Wait, that's when he puts the lotus, holy damn wouldn't have seen it. Kinda fits Odysseus as a cunning tactitian : you don't really see him coming.
Anyway great detail there and great job on this animatic.

Idk why- but i love how Polyphemus' pupil just widens like a cat when the wine was mentioned lmao
I keep coming back to this, I’m so hopeful we see your rendition of Remember Them and more!
This is one of my favorite animatics by far
Congrats. These amazing Epic animations have earned you a new subscriber. Hope to see more animatics from this brilliant musical in this amazingly creative style you have. Honestly, your Polyphemus is easily the scariest Cyclops I have EVER seen and it's such a wonderful design!! Not to mention the life you bring to the character designs. The light of a plan in Odysseus's eyes, the expressions and body language, it's AMAZING. Honestly hoping the creator of Epic sees these and loves them even half as much as I do. Beautiful work. Truly.
Thank you!! 🙏
Wow, that was easily one of the best Epic animatics I’ve ever seen. It was incredible from start to finish. I loved the perspectives, and I got chills watching the cyclops, especially the shot of it walking and the shot of it opening its mouth. I can’t wait to see what masterpiece you make next! 💜
Maybe it's weird but I think your Polyphemus is very sweet and adorable
RIGHT? He’s just a giant cat🥹
0:56 Wow! The eye moving here and there synchronizes well with the beat thing! I love your interpretation of this and how unique it is compared to the rest, great job with getting them to match!
That last few frames, oh my gosh it hit hit hard
Love the scary vibe, character designs and the transitions hitting the hard beat of the music .. goosebumps!
Damn this is REALLY good
I really hope you do the entire musical. I cant imagine how amazing Poseidon would look with THIS being his son. 🙏
Thank you for the trust!🙏🥹
Hotdamn, this Polyphemus truly gives me the shivers. I have seen a lot of animatics for this piece now, and especially "RUN" always got me, but with this design? Truly terrified. Kudos to you for taking an already scary scene and spinning a character that really chills one to the bone!
(I mean this apart from all the other cool stuff in this animatic - like, the way Odysseus reflects in his eye? Odysseus thumbs up, we are safe? All so good! But gotta choose a few bits before I ramble about the whole 3 minutes xD)
This is genuinely amazing, you’ve outdone yourself again!! Every single image is so beautifully planned and drawn, it’s breathtaking!
i love the detail in "the power that's in your hands". Odysseus is physically in Polyphemus' hand, showing how much power Ody holds, even when in danger. hats off to you!
That is the scariest Polyphemus and I love him! I haven't even thought of Odysseus being lifted up like that and I just love this!!!
