Wait... THAT'S how big it is compared to a HG Gunpla?! The pictures made it seem like it was as big as a bookshelf, but it's actually downright puny! I am shocked!
@@thespicer There's just 1 type of these magnet switch LED lights that I found Amazon. It says it's for gunpla. Are these the ones you used and will they fit in the Bandai 1/1000 kits without modifications? Great review vid, btw. I've built several of these kits from Yamato 2199 and 2202. Great kits.
I've built three the 2199,2202 & the 2202 final battle version & you're right who would want to keep taking the ship apart to turn on the lights 🤷♂️ eventually something will break stupid design i mounted mine on a brass rod & ran the wires through to the base with some cheap LEDs from Amazon 😆
Yeah it’s mostly a snap-built kit, at least if you’re getting from the 2202 catalog. Not sure about the older 2199 line, though, there are a few other ships in it that have some parts requiring glue or modifications to fit.

Imagine the price for a 1/144 scale kit of this 🗿
Space Battleship Yamato is my fav Anime, Fav thing ever, I have seen all 3 reboot series 2199, 2202 and 2205 can’t wait for Rebel 3199 to come out
Bandai should really start making Gundam battleships again.
What are those magnetic activated LEDs? How do they work and where can I find them please?
I found mine on Amazon but theres a variety out there from smaller vendors. Just get the magnet closer to the LED and it kicks on.

@@demoskunk I had to tape them in there but some small masking tape worked pretty well.

2202?
Anyways, it looks good.
Yep, there are minor differences after the refit in 2202. Nothing really major though versus the 2199 version.
