    So the Lishi KW1 and KW5 will fit in a Yale keyway. Can you pick the Yale using the KW1 or KW5?

    hi so these yale picks can be used on other than yale ? if they have the same profile

      Yes and they often work better than in the Yale branded locks.

    Where can I find these at? I’m in the United States and only have found these poorly working “Lishis” got the Y1 keyway. Your advice would be greatly appreciated

    • @GxAxV
      @GxAxV  9 месяцев назад

      Hi, indeed there are some poorly designed ones that don’t work well. You must make sure the reader chart on the back is at an angle to be working well. I’m not sure where to buy them in America but we ship them from the UK.

    Have you tried the new lishi black version of yale 6 ? tempted to buy one of those, for picking 6 pin yale style euro cylinder profiles.

    • @GxAxV
      @GxAxV  2 года назад

      You can see in the video I talk about the black one. It’s not nearly as good as these ones and is limited to what it can pick. I wouldn’t recommend them now I have these new ones.

    Hi. Would you know which one would work with a Silca YA1 keyway?

    • @GxAxV
      @GxAxV  Год назад

      I assume you are just looking at a key you have. That’s a copy key you are asking about and it’s the most common key blank used across all Yale profile locks so there is no way to really know what lock it is. However the answer would be Yale 5

    Sorry for all the questions with the black yale is it better just to remove the top bar? I am waiting on the lishi at an angle you recommend to come in stock. Just you showed in the other video where the black lishi does work in locks where the angled one doesn't.
    Just thought removing the bar would be easier than filing it down. I won't ask no more questions lol. Just learning the wondrful hobbie, also I'm doing spp so I'm not cheating I'm learning all aspects. Just finding useful information is hardest.

    • @GxAxV
      @GxAxV  Год назад +1

      Removing the bar effects the picks hold on the Yale profile and is not recommended.

    What are the correct names for the actual lishi version ?

    • @GxAxV
      @GxAxV  2 года назад

      There isn’t any, I would say Yale 6B etc but the older versions are called that too. I call these the new Yale lishi 🤷🏻‍♂️ angled plate lishi…. They don’t have another name just the next thing outa China.

    • @robieleedavison5383
      @robieleedavison5383 2 года назад

      It’s so confusing some people say ss001 does it. So how do you know the difference between the old 6b and new 6b ? Also what are the best ones to have for uk. Sorry I’m just really stuck on what to buy.

    • @GxAxV
      @GxAxV  2 года назад

      @@robieleedavison5383 no problem at all. SS001 doesn’t even fit in any locks, SS002 fits in locks but really stiff and hard to move and some it can’t move at all( these picks are not designed for Yale) then there is the black ones which are called Yale 6B etc but they are also no good as they get jammed and can’t pick any locks with pin hights 8 or 9 ( laser engraved on the pick is “80% coverage without pin 8or9”). Finally is the new picks also labelled as Yale 5, Yale 5B, Yale 6 and Yale 6B and you can tell these apart from the others as the chart plate on the back of the pick is off set at an angle to the rest of the pick. If you want to know for sure they are the right ones to get them pick them up from ALS locksmith tools. They only sell the right one.
