If you are any kind of a Beauty and the Beast fan, this is so worth doing, ESPECIALLY if it's your first Disney trip. French onion soup and a filet will run me $50 at least anywhere in my city and to be in the atmosphere of the Beast's castle is priceless. Is it the best steak on property? No, but I've never had a bad one there (out of maybe 6 visits). The soup is 💯 and the grey stuff... well, you know. It's definitely not a character meal but it is seriously amazing ambience.
Price seems reasonable to me. I really enjoy the channel but sometimes I think the Team's familiarity with everything, means their perspective is different from infrequent guests
@Kelly Valence I definitely agree and understand it. I've been to the parks several times in the last few years and I LOVE BOG but I skipped it a few times to try other places. Can't beat dining in the ballroom or the west wing though 😍.
Yes, you are paying for the ambiance but the food is surprisingly-good .. .. Ashamed to admit it but (food wise), it was one of the best meals on the trip .. ..
I would add that Space220 is also incredibly difficult to get into and 85/person with NO character, meh ambiance and okay food. Point being, this is becoming the rule not the exception at the parks (sadly)
It was so a good deal when it was a quick service during breakfast and lunch (especially with dining plan). Well, I will be waiting in Skipper Canteen for that to come back.
I used to love the breakfast here. It is beautiful and gave you a head start getting on Mine Train. Disappointed they did away with breakfast and quick service lunch.
It’s a shame about the food/price because the restaurant itself is so beautiful and a great experience especially for a Beauty and the Beast fan. There’s few great experiences for the 90s animated films in the parks and this is one. I’m lucky I went for lunch the last day it was open pre-pandemic. Hopefully they will update the menu and bring back a la cart pricing soon.
This is definitely a must do at least once for the atmosphere! My husband proposed here back in 2017 when the offerings were much better. It is so sad to see the restaurant fall so far because I would love to bring my kids to the spot where their dad and I got engaged! 😔
It seems it still not as worth it coated to when it was lunch quick service. I miss when it was the quick service. Personally I rather to Skipper Canteen than Be Our Guest.
It’s unfortunate that Disney continues to cheapen the experience while increasing prices. We ate here when it first opened and the food was forgettable but at least the prices weren’t so outrageous, the menu had many more options, and we got a complimentary photo with the Beast after the meal. The theming is very beautiful but it doesn’t make up for the negatives.
I snagged a same day reservation this last Sunday… I was SOOOO DISAPPOINTED. If I’m paying $200 for dinner (2 adult meals w/ tip) I expect a more that PAPER menu that is ripped at the seam. The bread service was so underwhelming, but the butter was tasty. Will not recommend and will never return.
The atmosphere and theming here is really good. But I've noticed that the better the theming is, the more Disney seems to 'skate' on the food and not put as much effort into that. There are a few notable exceptions but, for the most part, if there is great theming or characters the food isn't as good.
The cost is not that outlandish in the real world for this kind of meal, these prices are pretty comparable. I realized years ago when I moved from Detroit to Boston that the cost of food is completely relative to where you live. Be Our Guest is my favorite restaurant in all of WDW, the theming cannot be beat, and the food is so much better than a lot of similarly priced restaurants. It is a must do for me on every trip. Could not disagree more with your review.
I had a great time here in 2021 BUT it was a walk up add in for our party. I feel like it was cuter when the gray stuff came in a chip white chocolate cup. I also wish that they either had Beast and a few other charters (maybe Lumiere and Cogsworth) come to tables like in traditional character meals OR have the Beast and Bell dance. Either one of those additions would make the price tag more worth it in my eyes. Regardless, I do think it is worth going in at least once. It feels like you are walking into the movie!
Oh Magic Kingdom's best restaurant... did you mean Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen? I've been to Be Our Guest 3 times, and it really IS all about the atmosphere, not much else.
We’re going next week. It’ll be the first time in WDW for our 5 year old and I’m aware that we’re mainly paying for ambiance, but the same can be said for most character breakfasts. In what world are traditional breakfast foods going to cost anywhere near $60?! Like $45 of that is going toward the experience of having characters around 🫠 But so much of Disney is about paying for ambiance and things in the shape of Mickey Mouse 🙃
I think the breakfast is decent. I’m not sure if they’ve gotten rid of that recently. The dinner I was also disappointed in. The steak I had was super salty. The desserts were lack luster in taste. You’re mostly paying for the ambiance of the dining rooms. I enjoyed my picture with the beast and drinking wine in MK.
It's great for the ambience, not so much for the food. We were lucky when we went because my 3 year old fell asleep before dinner, so we didn't have to pay for his meal 😅 I like the portrait room... it's much quieter than the main room.
A friend of mine has been to this restaurant twice and she said the food was out of this world delicious. Everyone has their own opinion I guess. I wish I was lucky enough to be able to go there just once.
Before it was a prefixed menu, BOG was a must do. We really enjoyed it and I feel like the food quality was much better. Once they switched over to a prefixed menu at a super high price the quality of the food took a huge hit, likely because things are made in bulk and not made to order. It went from a reservation we tried to snag every time we were in MK to a do it once and then never again. It's really sad because the ambiance is top notch.
I am so glad that I got to experience Be Our Guest when they A) did quick service breakfast and B) I was on the dining plan. Probably the least expensive way to get in. I did it, and I will probably not bother going back unless they seriously revamp the menu.
I wish Disney would make this a fully character meal - have Beast and Belle walk around, take pictures with guests and sign autographs. Then it’s worth $70! Until then, it’s definitely overpriced for what you get.
I haven't eaten there since it turned TS but I wasn't impressed when it was QS. The food was o.k. borderline good but it way too expensive for a QS/TS. My main complaints were 1. it seemed to have had an identity issue - was it a QS was it a TS, it didn't know. You had to get your own drinks and order at those little screen things but they brought you your food. 2. It is a loud place. The ball room and the portrait gallery are huge rooms and with all the people in them it is too loud to talk to the people you are with. In all fairness, almost all the restaurants at Disney have this issue, I think the only quiet place I've ever eaten at is V&A's. I do like the waiting area with the talking knights, I think it might be the best part of the place.
For once, i dont agree with this one in any way. We have went every trip and love it. We are foodies too and no joke, the last trip just 4 weeks ago, we had the best steak i have ever eaten in my life there. The atmosphere is amazing, the music makes me cry. My only complaint is how dark it is throughout the restaurant. If anyone is thinking of going here, please go!!! Also, who goes and doesnt get the french onion soup??? Thats a staple… just saying
honestly I know it’s a ballroom and all but the echoey noise inside is so horrible. I wish the Imagineers had figured out how to make the ceiling tiles or walls a bit more noise proof. I cannot eat there because it’s a sensory nightmare audio wise.
You guys do a good job. But this place looks and sounds like a high school cafeteria ate there once a long time ago, it was ok but it did not wow us, so we haven’t tried again
This is exactly how I felt at Space 220, the food was very underwhelming and I thought they could have did so much better with the theming (was a little lackluster). I do think they are all worth doing once but once is enough.
So I have a reservation for BOG on Feb 1st, for my trip. Beauty and the Beast is one of my all-time favorites! After this, would you recommend I keep my reservation or do a lunch reservation at The Crystal Palace? As much as I want to see the Beast and the castle, since it would be my first time, I also want good food for the price!
I like the dining experience here! It’s a very expensive meal though and it is a very dark restaurant. I think it’s a one and done when it comes to dining experiences though. I like crystal palace. But if it’s your first time eating there I would choose BOG
I went in September and didn’t regret it. The food was fine. Nothing special, but not terrible. It’s a one and done experience for sure, but if you’re a beauty and the beast fan I’d say keep it.
haha, the restaurant was one of my favorites, but the food is sub par. I think the atmosphere is amazing though. My wife doesn't like it there because the food was "meh." So similar to Space 220...
Go out to a nice steak house that has a sallad bar, before you head over to Disney. You will enjoy your food, get done quicker and save a ton of money. Oh, and the people will be slightly more cultured... (quieter). It sounds like an intrusive noise festival in there. Y'all had to speak too loudly just to make your video. You should be able to speak softly and still be heard, in a decent eatery.Thank you for your honesty girls. This is Mrs. Ace X, in Florida.
I've eaten here once maybe 9 years ago or so .. we ate in the west wing and while I remember the food being "okay", it wasn't even really good or great and it was so dark in the room. We haven't been back since or even bring it up when we plan trips to Disney, so I think that says a lot. I'm really not interested in going back unless the menu suddenly became top quality. For our family, the atmosphere doesn't make up for the price, difficulty getting in, or the quality of food.
Be our guest is awful. They charge per person and it is expensive. Beast just walks by, he doesn’t interact. Small food portions Pork rinds in the food / is this a French delicacy? The theming is nice.
We tried Be Our Guest in November and it was definitely a one and done for us. The service was ok, the food was nothing to brag about, and the experience was basically sitting in a loud cafeteria where we barely caught a glimpse of the Beast. We felt rushed and being stuck against the wall at a small two seater was not roomy considering being at a theme park we did have backpacks and shopping bags.
When we were at 60 days out, I passed on getting this reservation. If it was more character involved, then maybe I’d pony up the dough but not at this time.
I always go when I do my. Disney trip but it truly is worse and worse every time. Food isn’t even that good but main problem is the wait times even with a reservation. Last 3 times I’ve had to wait an hour or more to be seated having a reservation. Will never eat there again.
If you are any kind of a Beauty and the Beast fan, this is so worth doing, ESPECIALLY if it's your first Disney trip. Totally agree.
Well said. 👌👍🙏
Price seems reasonable to me. I really enjoy the channel but sometimes I think the Team's familiarity with everything, means their perspective is different from infrequent guests

Agree with you 100% i said the same
Ya, totally agree about BOG being a disappointment. Absolutely gorgeous atmosphere with completely meh food.
Yes, you are paying for the ambiance but the food is surprisingly-good .. .. Ashamed to admit it but (food wise), it was one of the best meals on the trip .. ..
I loved breakfast and lunch during the old dining plan. Now it is too expensive.
I feel like they need to add belle to the be our guest restaurant!! I don’t get why she’s not apart of it with the beast makes no sense.
I really wish they'd bring this back to quick service for breakfast and lunch. We won't go back to BOG unless they do. It's just not worth it for us.
I would add that Space220 is also incredibly difficult to get into and 85/person with NO character, meh ambiance and okay food. Point being, this is becoming the rule not the exception at the parks (sadly)

BOG is terrible. When it first opened we loved it it was one of our favorites. But it went downhill fast. The prefix menu stinks.
This is definitely a must do at least once for the atmosphere! My husband proposed here back in 2017 when the offerings were much better. It is so sad to see the restaurant fall so far because I would love to bring my kids to the spot where their dad and I got engaged! 😔

I was lucky enough to do BOG when it was Quick Service pre-plague and it was great back then. Well worth that price, but no longer worth it sadly.
I had a great time here in 2021 BUT it was a walk up add in for our party. I feel like it was cuter when the gray stuff came in a chip white chocolate cup. I would have like to see Breedlove join you to get a Vegan's perspective.❤️

I’m glad I did this back in 2018 when it was the quick service lunch. That was totally worth it. This is now a bit high priced for what you get.
Does each one of the guests get a desert trio to themselves? Asking for a friend....actually me LOL! I want the desert all to myself!
I used to love BOG but the last time I went this past June I was very disappointed….
Question, does each person get a dessert plate or is that one for the table to share?
Each person gets one!
A friend of mine has been to this restaurant twice and she said the food was out of this world delicious. Everyone has their own opinion I guess. I wish I was lucky enough to be able to go there just once.

Disney really needs to bring back the quick service breakfast and lunch that they had pre-Covid. Totally worth it with the cheaper prices.
If reservations remain hard to get, Disney will hardly return to lower prices.
People will continue to fork out for one meal....
Quincys shirt is cool!
I wish Disney would make this a fully character meal - have Beast and Belle walk around, take pictures with guests and sign autographs. Then it’s worth $70! Until then, it’s definitely overpriced for what you get.
My husband was not a fan but my son and I loved it.

It’s so so so so so GROSSSSSS!!!!! We left there and had to go get McDonald’s 😂 it was a nightmare! Worst food on property!
For once, i dont agree with this one in any way. We have went every trip and love it. Mmmmm…Quincy
They only bring out one dessert tray for two people?
Why don’t they have Belle walking around also I know it’s the beast castle but the decor has belle also
honestly I know it’s a ballroom and all but the echoey noise inside is so horrible. I wish the Imagineers had figured out how to make the ceiling tiles or walls a bit more noise proof. I cannot eat there because it’s a sensory nightmare audio wise.

Gooier and chewier
I would like to see Quincy and Emma cooking.
I love this channel soooo much, first
No be our guest for us as long you only can get this prix fixed menu. Hope they bring back lunch quick service back.
I have had the lunch quick service at BOG. Reasonable price and it was delicious. Sad to see it’s now the one option.
I only ate here once, prior to the menu changes years ago,… even that was disappointing. You are definitely paying for the ambiance!
I can’t believe there’s not a tablecloth
haha, the restaurant was one of my favorites, but the food is sub par. I think the atmosphere is amazing though. My wife doesn't like it there because the food was "meh." So similar to Space 220...
