Capacitor ESR Measurement

In this video Florian shows how the Bode 100 in combination with the B-WIC test fixture can be used to analyze capacitors.
The ESR (equivalent resistance) as well as the parasitic inductance and capacitance are shown using Bode Analyzer Suite 3.

I am impressed by the way the Bode 100 opens up the full range of characteristics of devices. Without the Bode 100 the engineer has to make many assumptions about the frequency related performance of devices. This can result in unpredicted issues in the field.

Very good and informative video.
It would have been very, very interesting to see for example comparisons between measured curves of polyester, polypropylene, polycarbonate, paper-oil, ceramic etc. capasitors of same capacitance and voltage values.
