Well, to be fair, the game started as a spiritual battle between egyptian kings in the anime.
Say what you want, but the villains in this show are very considerate. “Yeah I’ve worked hard to make sure my evil plans have worked thus far but if you beat me in a card game I promise to not destroy the world and kill people.”

Crow sort of represents how 5D's turned something cynically motivated into something creative and genuine. I don't care if he was only there to sell Blackwing cards, or that 5D's as a whole exist to sell Synchros, when you put that much care into making such an awesome character and world, you've got my respect.

It's like not releasing DBZ or they would be selling Super Saying Goku figures or something...or new Pokemons because they would be selling these new pokemons (as cards, nintendo games, or figures).

Crow had the coolest Duel Runner in all of 5ds.
I think, and I could be wrong here, his duel runner is the only one customized to be more than just a normal one.
He and jack do including Bruno aka Vizor and later Akiza and sherry leblanc and Ellsworth

Blackwings are awesome and op at the same time. Delta Crow Anti Reverse’s effect is that if they have 3 blackwings on the field, they can activate it from their hand. Otherwise they have to set it normally. It still nukes their field though.

Giving fuel to the idea that Leo being a Signer was planned from the start while Crow being a Signer was a last minute change. Especially since Black Wing Dragon doesn’t appear until a nearly 30 episodes AFTER Crow becomes a Signer.
Yeah, I think in this season's finally fight the dragon was supposed to choose Leo, but since he was still too weak to wield the power of a signer dragon, the Crimson Dragon chose Crow instead.
The signer dragons are such great friends, just standing there and watching Ancient Fairy Dragon get dragged away by Uru.
I have a hypothesis that Life Stream Dragon tried to save Ancient Fairy Dragon as she was snatched by Uru, but failed, and was grievously injured, and as a result, he had to be put in a metal suit, and from then on he became Powertool Dragon.

What could they do? Earthbound imortal uwu is very strong, and they couldn't really do much seeing as they were exhausted after the sealing.

Crow is a cool duelist. There are times I wonder if the "M" criminal mark was inspired by Majin Vegeta

The dueling gives fair chance and its safer than using guns, the sector security guys actually aren't pushovers like the anime seems to make them. Its just the primary characters are too "Skilled", except in crows case, cause blackwings were busted upon full release in the real life version. The only thing better would be infernity at that point and even then blackwings still ruffled EVERYONE'S feathers.

Well considering that a lot of resource disputes seem to be resolved by duels in the satellite it makes sense he gives the weaker people the power to fight for more
Considering that we later find out that Crow learned reading and basic math from dueling along with making friends that had his back when he needed it the most, he was giving them something of decent value: an education. Besides, he probably gambles for grocery money since he can do OTK's like a nuke.
Crow has an awesome bike so he can steal food whenever he wants.

And this episode is one of the reasons blackwings became more played in my store several years ago.
See, this pisses me off. Up until Crow gets his Singer Dragon, we had a different attribute for each dragon, Stardust- Wind, Red Archfiend- Dark, Black Rose- Fire, Ancient Faerie- Light, and then Lifestream would've been Earth, but Crow gets the Dark-attribute Black-Winged Dragon; I'd be fine with six signer or Leo not becoming a signer, but seriously, they couldn't hand him a Water-attribute dragon... or just Lifestream, period? Granted, in the real card game, now, you need Powertool for Lifestream... but... meh.

Actually crimson dragon is an accel synchro monster . See, the life stream dragon is a syncrho tuner monster and by its effect he can change levels of syncrhos in his side field so with goodwin saying joined their power that means a syncrho summon and since they were all syncrhos that means a limitover accel synchro of crimson dragon so this is the first overlimit accel synchro of the history in this yugioh dimension

I kinda like how both Uru and Wiraqocha Rosca are mostly presented and shown to us. Foreshadowing Rosca being another Earthbound Immortal that we'll see.
I also like how Rosca, Uru, and (partly) Ccapac Apu are shown to foreshadow their owner's relations with Yusei.
Gale the whirlwind is definitely my favorite blackwing, I remember having that card in my deck for the 2011 championship game.

Considering RWBY had a Yu-Gi-Oh! reference in Volume 2, it's only fair to say that they were inspired by some elements of the plot and the naming conventions. Also, both have weirdly spelt names. Yu-Gi-Oh! is basically King-Of-Games!, and RWBY is the first letters of the main team's names put together, and pronounced like the name of the main character. I won't be surprised if there was some inspiration taken here as well!

I like how Life Stream Dragon is shown in Goodwin's story and Black-Winged Dragon isn't shown at all.
That's because Black-Winged Dragon wasn't even a thought as Leo was supposed to get his Mark this arc
In-Universe I'm sure the Crimson Dragon knew Leo wasn't ready yet and decided Crow to be one so he dragged Black Winged Dragon into the signers. Though that does make me question if the Crimson Dragon is able to create new monsters and cards.
