I have to be playing drums for 35 yrs before I'm find to the seesaw......🤯
A new visual to master. Thanks!!
Ha no worries - thanks for the kind comment and for taking the time to watch 😊🙏
Crazy lol first time I ever seen that! Thks
Me too 😳🤯💯
This is awesome. The technique for this is very similar to the gravity blast beat, which uses the snare rim as a fulcrum. Here, you are using your other stick as the fulcrum.
Thank you - I’ll check it out!
Awesome vid thanks. I gotta try this!
I want to show my drum teacher this when I learn it
Awesome! Show me too please!
Super cool! Thanks for making a video on it! Just seeing a slow motion shot and hearing your pointers makes it seem a lot more attainable than I would’ve thought!

I've seen Carl Palmer do this trick on his ride cymbal: he is full of these crazy stick techniques...
Ha yeah I talk about that about 1:20 into the video 😊 He’s an absolute monster!
@@TomHowarth been influenced by Carl Palmer since I was about Seven my Mom bought Asia's debut album and I remember Wildest Dreams and Time Again. Then I discovered ELP In 1986 of course it was Emerson Lake and Powell but still incredible Musicianship... Kept listening to ELP bought their Trilogy LP on cassette when I was 17 my Mom bought me their 1992 live album black moon live from the Royal Albert Hall it was incredible such Incredible Musicianship.. Carl is the Father of Progressive Metal Drumming just a Beast of a Drummer
Thank you!!

🙏🙏🙏😊
Cant wait to get home tonight and have drumsticks everywhere. Ugh..
I've done this technique without knowing it's a technique
I poked both eyes out trying this so now I am a blind drummer ha ha.
It’s cool but not important to learn But I’m a drummer and appreciate it anyway It’s amazing all these stick trick has come back from a hundred years ago Buddy was the master of some amazing stickings not tricks They were built in him naturally physically Today we call them tricks
Thank you 😊 🙏
me here on an electric kit 😂
This video feels like it was made in 2014 2015 for some reason-
You’re right, it is quite dated. I made it in a hurry using my laptop and no idea how to do a tutorial (this was my first as you can tell!!). Learned a lot from this clip on how to better myself which is why I keep it up 😊
O.O"
WOW DUDE THAT WAS AWESOME AND BEYOND INTENSE THAT WAS MAGICAL AND TRIPPY HOW YOU DO YOUR HI-HAT DRUMSTICK MAGIC TRICK THAT WAS AMAZING LOOKING THAT WAS WAY TOO RAD AND EPIC THAT WAS EXTREME ANYWAYS ARE YOU SAVED TOM ? HAVE YOU ACCEPT JESUS AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR AND RECEIVE ETERNAL LIFE I COULDN'T IMAGINE HEAVEN WITHOUT YOU YOU HAVE A GOD GIVING TALENT ON THE DRUMS AND ON THE RUclips KEEP UP WITH THE GOOD WORK
That was a crash/ ride he did it on not a high hat
Ok but except for trying to impress that front row half drunk chick what's the point of it ? It doesn't add speed or "special" sound effect or anything useful to the playing
Sorry, but what do you mean my ‘doesn’t had speed?’ I’m well aware it’s just for show, and obviously you would use it in a recording or anything but it got people’s attention, and in a world oversaturated with drummer videos I don’t think it hurts to stand out just that little bit.
@@TomHowarth you do what pleases you of course, I'd just rather spend time perfectionning more useful techniques than just "show off" stuff
dul22 absolutely! Just looking for feedback and what you meant by ‘doesn’t had speed?’
Oh... btw, I meant ADD not had 😂
The sound it adds to the beat is awesome.
