To be fair NLs chat or at least a good amount of his viewers seem to strongly dislike Cobalt. He's not my favorite but some of the people were pretty harsh though Cobalt was a bit of an ass sometimes so idk

The anti-tofu sentiment is very saddening to me. People: "Don't try to make stuff taste like meat. Just eat vegetables." Also people: "But how can you give up meat???" If you aren't vegetarian, the meat replacements aren't meant for you.
The problem really is terminology. We abandoned the best term ("meat analogue," as in similar, but not the same) for things like "meat replacement" or "fake meat" which create unrealistic expectations. If you're not pretending it's meat, it's just fine, even though the goal is something very close so we can make a wider variety of food to enjoy.
