This song is criminally underrated! I heard it all the time in the gay clubs in Boston circa 1982, but never on pop radio like KISS 108 with Lisa Lips or Sunny Jo White. The Moonstone version kicks ass too!
Yep, there is something about this song and captures all every aspects of the mind and thought process. This is the song I will be having at my funeral ( not being morbid ) It’s such a futuristic song and will always sound ahead of it’s time…. Great extended mix without ruining the song. So glad they opened with this song at The Voyage virtual tour.
Me too! In fact I was hoping they would use it as the opener right from the start, as I thought it would be perfect and it never got the recognition it should have in the UK. Should've been a single in it's own right, in my humble opinion! Frida absolutely slays it, brilliant vocals! 🥰❤💕
ABBA are so good at melodic instrumental sections, this is more like an eerie dramatic version of Gimme Gimme Gimme, this extended edit is really great, if you still have the audio can you please re-upload in it in 1080p so we can hear it in HQ :)
This song always reminds me of Orwell’s “1984.” Unfortunately it is now seeming to be a harbinger of America’s 2024!!! LOVE this song ever since I first heard it and danced to it with Martin Dust at Cabaret in Kansas City circa 1995!!!
