Hey Marcus, just wanted to say thanks for your videos! You helped me make decisions of what I wanted in my system and how to set it up afterwards. This last weekend I just built a 9800X3D / 4080 Super in a Tower 600 and it’s awesome! Never had a gaming PC before, been on consoles for about 20+ years.
I recently built my very first pc. Also went with a Ryzen 7 9800x3d paired with a Gygabyte 4080 Super. 2tb nvme, 2x16gb Ram. Mobo: Asus Rog strix B650a and Lian Li Galahad II Aio with 7 lian li infinty fans (6 reverse) intake and 1 regular exhaust. And 24power pin and gpu strimers. All in a white h9 flow case.

This case has been my favorite so far. My first build was in a Lian li 011 D then I switched to the thermaltake p6 . Now Ive been rocking this MSI case for a few months now . Nothing bad to say about it. Looks great has great airflow so I can't complain. Also just upgraded to the 9800x3d paired with my 4090
Just finished building my first pc yesterday. Msi x870 Tomahawk wifi, Ryzen 7 9800x3d, g. skill 32gb 6000mhz with expo enabled, crucial T700 1TB nmve m.2 gen5 and WD black 850x nmve m.2 gen4 storages, radeon 7900 xt, be quiet 80 platinum 850w psu, 1 be quiet exhuast and 3 be quiet intake fans, Jonsbo D41 case, with the msi mpg 32 gd oled. I don't know, its decent but I'm not really too impressed. I'm probably expected to much or didn't setup the settings correctly. I never really seen gaming pcs in person to compare though.
Thanks for the build... I'm putting together a new build, one that will last me at least 5 years or more. Facing the typically too many choices overload, but finding these video's helpful. I'm on the fence about the processor, choosing a Ryzen 9 7850X3D vs Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Definitely RTX 4090, and MSI X870e motherboard as I would want to upgrade the processor in the few years.

I was expecting a higher fps on Warzone based on the 9800x3D. I have the 5800x3D and a 4080 non-super with a 4K 240hz OLED monitor (well, dual) and runs the same fps I see in your video. I am glad that I don't need to upgrade anything. I see I have processor for longer lol.
PLEASE buy either a 360 hz or 480 hz OLED 2k monitor for those specs, otherwise all those frames are completely wasted. I hate to see somebody with this good of a pc that can consistently play, for example, Fortnite at 500+ fps at 2k and medium settings. Then they proceed to buy a 240 hz monitor. Which means you could have saved SO much money by buying a pc that gets around 300 fps consistently on those same settings instead.

I have assembled a very similar system, the same motherboard locks to 95 degrees in stress tests (a tomahawk x870 specific problem), it shows similar performance to yours in games, but the temperature rises to 90s again in loading screens, I think this is a problem specific to our motherboard, isn't it?

I have an air CPU cooler and a 7800X3D, and it never exceeds 65°C while playing COD. However, the 9800X3D is running at 81°C on Vanguard. The arctic air cooler is not that good or maybe there is a prob with the airflow in this case?
it's definitely due to the layout of the ccd and l3 cache, the IHS cooled the 3d vcache before in the 1st gen 3d cache tech, now the 3d cache is in the bottom and now the ccd can pull more wattage and be properly cooled with the IHS

@PcCentric I’ve built this exact build, same CPU/GPU/motherboard combo and when I first booted I noticed the 08 error code on the motherboard, watching your review I see it on here too..did you need to update bios to fix it or something? What does it mean? This is my first custom PC and I don’t really know. Thanks!
would swapping the motherboard for something like a b650 be viable for this build? Looking to build this 4080 sup and 9800 build try making it slightly cheaper?
Can some one help me with s build. I have a 2070 i9700, i am willing to upgrade basicslly every thing from ram to aio's to make it asthetic and good for performance, now i am wondering if getting a 9800x3d will it make a 2070 crash or something as i will be saving up for s 5070 or ti, so will it work fine with everything upgraded and the gpu the same and on the lower en for another 4 months
I always laugh when people say how cool the graphics card looks. Puts it in and the face of the card points downwards and you never see it again untill a few years later when you upgrade your graphics card. LOL.
Man Warzone is so bad now. My 7600x/7900xt PC is only getting about 80fps no matter how low I go on settings. I have to play on my PS5 Pro for 120fps. Absolutely wild.
Did you do the warzone test with steam or battlenet. because steam has a fps bug. I have 5900x/4080. a have someones system i built who has a 7800x3d 4070 super. the 4070 super with all high settings and nvidia image scaling. 1440p gets 230 fps. my system is getting 185-200. on the battlenet. but take his system to steam it gets 90. and mine gets 150.
I built my pc 3 years ago and 2 days ago I decided to add 2 more ram cards to it, got it from 32gb to 64 and now I'm experiencing fps drops. It use to be 130 to 150fps and now it is a 90-100 fps... any ideas of what could have happened?
Alright then my dear expects. I’m a console gamer with a PS5. I’ve been a console gamer my whole life since 2003. But now I’m looking to build a gaming pc close to £1000 or $1000 if you’re from the US. My decision to migrate to gaming pc is due to the price of the ps5 pro which is £700 in the UK. And I’m predicting that the ps6, let alone the ps6 pro will be close to £1000 in the future. Anyways, what specs in terms of motherboard, cpu, graphics card, ram would you recommend I should aim for in order to build a gaming pc that rivals a ps5? I kinda like the idea that with a pc, I can always future proof it by buying a graphics card over time. Apologies for the long winded comment.
So I just got a 4070 ti super coming from a 6950 xt which died on me...which is the reason why I got a 4070 ti super, do I need to upgrade my cpu coming from a 5800x3d, I do 1440p gaming, and have oled 1440p 240hz
The only insane thing about this video is that there are no Runescape 3 4k all ultra benchmarks. On the other hand, this is 4080 build, not 4090, would barely reach 30 fps, so fair play.
not worth it i promise you it won’t make a difference at all unless you play in 1080p or cpu heavy games on average you’ll probably get 15 max fps or so if you think that 300$ extra is worth it

I have an air CPU cooler and a 7800X3D, and it never exceeds 65°C while playing COD. However, the 9800X3D is running at 81°C on Vanguard. The arctic air cooler is not that good or maybe there is a prob with the airflow in this case?
it's definitely due to the layout of the ccd and l3 cache, the IHS cooled the 3d vcache before in the 1st gen 3d cache tech, now the 3d cache is in the bottom and now the ccd can pull more wattage and be properly cooled with the IHS
my first pc was a laptop i5 3th gen quadro fx 880m 1gb then moved to desktop i5 4th gen gt 1030 2gb then i5 10th rtx 3060 12gb and now i5 13600kf rtx 4060ti 8gb. Looking for a high end pc with rtx 4080 super or 5070ti when i have money.
He had me all the way up until he turned this into a plug for dragon age Vanguard and said it was great
is the ryzen 9 7950x3D better?
Can some one help me with s build. I have a 2070 i9700, i am willing to upgrade basicslly every thing from ram to aio's to make it asthetic and good for performance, now i am wondering if getting a 9800x3d will it make a 2070 crash or something as i will be saving up for s 5070 or ti, so will it work fine with everything upgraded and the gpu the same and on the lower en for another 4 months
How loud is that cpu cooler?
Is it just me or your overhead camera had change quality?
please do a pc build for the best value
I always laugh when people say how cool the graphics card looks. Puts it in and the face of the card points downwards and you never see it again untill a few years later when you upgrade your graphics card. LOL.

What is the absolute BEST motrherboard for the Ryzen 7 9800x3d for gaming?
Are you familiar with the Lg32gs95ue monitor? Trying to decide what cpu and gpu I need. First pc builder here coming from Xbox
Yes, review is on the channel
What is the least gpu and cpu needed to be able to run that monitor efficiently?
What will be the difference in performance if i buy b650 msi mag tomahawk?
Is B650 tomahawk good for 9800X3D?
m8... what's the temp of that cpu with that cooler?
wat cable didu plug into lower 8 pin omfg im so confused can i use a 6+2 cable intended for gpus???
Man Warzone is so bad now. My 7600x/7900xt PC is only getting about 80fps no matter how low I go on settings. I have to play on my PS5 Pro for 120fps. Absolutely wild.
20:53 Even better than the ASUS PG32UCDM?
V similar, stand isn't as good as the Asus, but I'd probs wall mount it anyway
I have that exact case in white, 4080 super with 78003dx, keep getting crashes though on planet coaster 2, Fortnite and black ops 6 😢
I just bought this board and 9800X3D, did you not have to update the BIOS firmware with a USB stick?
How much was this total build?
Did you do the warzone test with steam or battlenet. because steam has a fps bug. I have 5900x/4080. a have someones system i built who has a 7800x3d 4070 super. the 4070 super with all high settings and nvidia image scaling. 1440p gets 230 fps. my system is getting 185-200. on the battlenet. but take his system to steam it gets 90. and mine gets 150.
With this rig is rk monitor or a 2k is best?
I built my pc 3 years ago and 2 days ago I decided to add 2 more ram cards to it, got it from 32gb to 64 and now I'm experiencing fps drops. It use to be 130 to 150fps and now it is a 90-100 fps... any ideas of what could have happened?
Can you test this rig with Microsoft Flight Simulator ???
Is Planet Coaster 2 similar or as good as Theme Park?
The thermal compound what is used for?
Do you need an offset bracket for cooling the 9800x3d ?
So I just got a 4070 ti super coming from a 6950 xt which died on me...which is the reason why I got a 4070 ti super, do I need to upgrade my cpu coming from a 5800x3d, I do 1440p gaming, and have oled 1440p 240hz
Where are people getting their desk pads?
Pccentric.store
How much does it cost
The only insane thing about this video is that there are no Runescape 3 4k all ultra benchmarks. On the other hand, this is 4080 build, not 4090, would barely reach 30 fps, so fair play.
This guy went from being PC Centric to AD Centric... Money corrupted him.
@@xPhantomxify You are just jealous he can afford a Blue Party Hat and an inventory of cooked swordfish.
Does it make sense to buy this processor when I have R5 7600 and Gigabite 4070 SUPER Aero?. I play at 1440p, the monitor has a max of 165 Hz.
not worth it i promise you it won’t make a difference at all unless you play in 1080p or cpu heavy games on average you’ll probably get 15 max fps or so if you think that 300$ extra is worth it
i’d maybe get a 7600x tho
Will 64gb CL30 6000mhz Dominator Titanium work with this build?
Of course it works perfectly its the recommended cl and speed for this processor
@ thanks! 1st time building a PC in a very very long time and an AMD one at that. Was getting lost in the supported RAM EXPO XMP conversation 🥴
bro casually calling us broke by doing this and the fact he has these specs before the new gpu drops
😂

Jamaican like ginger curry sounds like a good thing for lunch
Can I use the Ryzen 7 7800X3D with this build
Yes, it would still be a perfect match with the 4080 super
