When you did the 1031 Exchange from the duplex to this property was did the purchase price of the lot fill the exchange or were you able to roll in costs of construction too? Hope that questions makes sense.
It was a construction loan (so lot+build job). Total was a little shy of $1.1m all in with the $330k profit from the duplex or so going as a down payment.
In the Summer of 2021, there were approximately 15 rental cabins for sale in Hochatown. Now, in the Summer of 2024, there are over 430 rental cabins for sale.
You bought at the worst time possible, especially considering where the US economy is headed.
