Shoshannaaaaaa!!!!! Such a voice!!! I wanted to throw both my shoes at her SOOOO bad lol!! She SANG that!!! Her & Amber Riley get me every time lol! Shoshanna's rendition of She Used to Be Mine is just a Masterclass as this one!!! Hope to see your reaction to that as well!!
This is hands-down my FAVORITE video to watch people react to - your reaction was excellent! - and yes, she is brilliant all-around and her originals music is just as incredible! :)
In 2004, Bean joined the Broadway production of the smash-hit musical Wicked as a replacement standby for Elphaba, which was played by Idina Menzel. On January 8, 2005, a day before Menzel's scheduled end of her run as Elphaba, Menzel fell through a trap door and cracked a lower rib. Bean went on to perform that show.[15] On January 11, 2005, Bean took over as Elphaba full-time, where she performed opposite Jennifer Laura Thompson and then Megan Hilty as Glinda, until her last show on January 8, 2006. Like Doinita said she did great collabs with Scott Hoying and Superfruit. She is Phenomenal
@@super_siri did it take a lot longer in the beginning of the show's run? It takes one makeup artist 35 minutes now. I wonder if they changed the process?
@@taylormhilliard they probably changed the process after Idina injured herself and they had to get someone into makeup super quickly. But they also might have commissioned special makeup that applied better.
She is amazing, I loved it. She had a collaboration with Scott Hoying from Pentatonix (All to me) and with Superfruit (Pop Goes Broadway) if you want to check them out. 😊
I was tickled pink when I saw you reacted to this!! One of my favorites by Shoshana. I know several people have recommended Pop Goes Broadway with Mitch and Scott(Superfruit) and She Use To Be Mine from the Broadway play Waitress but figured I would put my 2 cents in also. So glad you liked her!!
Such an amazing performance. Her silences are as profound as her voice. You can see her reacting to the musicians. She has performed with Scott and Mitch from Super Fruit.
OMG!!! I've always adored this Foy Vance song, and I never thought I'd like any other cover but I was wrong...Ed Sheeran's cover is outstanding... but this girl's voice is pure joy...I'll definitely be doing a deep dive into her other songs!!!! Thank you for introducing me to another wonderful singer, Hugs from UK 😍😘💖
I was lucky enough to see Shoshana in a regional theater production of Funny Girl. She played Fanny Brice of course, and sang those songs out of the park - literally right in front of me! Amazing vocalist.
Oh if you saw Wicked on the first tour you definitely saw Shoshana (unless the understudy was performing) in the show. And she does a fantastic version of she used to be mine from the musical Waitress, that I highly recommend. And she does a great version of this is me, from the greatest showman, where Travis Wall (great dancer and choreographer from so you think you can dance season 2) dances as well, and I also highly recommend that. Great reaction.
You’re getting recommendations to react to Sho’s version of She Used To Be Mine, which I heartily endorse, but I recommend that you listen to the version from her final performance in Waitress from July 2019. It’s audio only, accompanied by stills, but the woman literally sings through tears and breaks your heart with every damn word that comes out of her mouth. I so wish I had seen that performance. Based upon audio alone, it probably rivaled what she does here.
She did a live performance in 2017 of Defying Gravity, it's a little different than the stage version. This song slayed me 17 times and resurrected me each time just to slay me again. Towards the middle some backup singers come in and give it a sort of gospel feel, which complimented her performance so well. I don't know if you are familiar with the musical Wicked, but she took over from the original lead in 2005 I think and played the hell out of the part. Also, she did a Christmas song with VoicePlay, Geoff has the male lead so it's pretty much a duet between the two of them with the rest of the group doing backup if I remember right. Defying Gravity ruclips.net/video/N3IRQId-1wA/видео.html Edit: who would ever want to add post production to her performance? It would be like touching up the Sistine Chapel.
Sho’s original songs This War (Official Video) and One Way to Go are amazing (and many others)if anyone is interested in checking out more of her stuff outside of Broadway.
Yay, Shoshana is Amazing! Also check out "She Used to Be Mine" "I Did Something Bad" with Cynthia Erivo and "This is Me" with Travis Wahl (dancing). But you can never go wrong with her. She did a silly Pop Goes Broadway video with Mitch and Scott of Pentatonix on their Superfruit channel which is just silly goofy fun.
Shoshana's duets are great and I'm a Pentaholic so yes her duet with Scott Hoying is amazing and yes she's a great broadway star, but jazz is her lane. Her Spectrum Album which this is off of is amazing with such songs as Strange Thunder, I Wanna Be Around , I Never Loved a Man and more. Her Original song This War is amazing from her Shadows to Light EP. Everything from the Ace Hotel performance was awesome, Shoshana is a vocal beast. She has a vocal range of D3-F6 with an A6 whistle note. I love her and have for years. Great reaction 😎
I thought I’d seen all the reactions to this on RUclips because there aren’t many, but I walked in to my house and this was already on thanks to auto play what a pleasant surprise
She’s incredible! Look up the duet she does with Avery Wilson of Saving All My Love For You, there are very few people who can match Shoshana’s power but Avery is one of them. Prepare to get your socks knocked off 😁
Another absolutely epic cover of an epic song is Jessie J Purple Rain that she did on the Chinese show called Sing. And also Yebba My Mind is well worth checking out
THANK YOU for this reaction!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY LOVE SHOSHANA!!! You want to see her emote…watch her sing “She Used To Be Mine”. Here’s the link: ruclips.net/video/y0YF6WTdkUI/видео.html Equally as emotive and beautifully talented is the Emmy, Grammy, Tony award winning Cynthia Erivo. To hear/see her sing “I’m Here” and “Stand Up” is sooooo moving!!! Shoshana and Cynthia actually frequently duet together and boy is it breathtaking. Speaking of duets, as others have mentioned, Shoshana sings her originally written song as a duet with Scott Hoying from Pentatonix that is AMAZING!!! I have added it to my playlist and it’s honestly one of my favorite songs. She also sings this as a duet with Avery Wilson whose voice is just so, well…acrobatic. That’s all I can say about that. Lol Would love to watch you react to ANY of the above.
I was lucky enough to see her in the first tour wicked did in Los Angeles with Megan Hilty. And they were spectacular. Unpopular opinion probably, but I think she was better than Idina Menzel, and Megan is on par with Kristen Chenowith.
Shoshanna's rendition of She Used to be Mine from Waitress is amazing

Yes, those two sound so good together!

There were like 4 people putting her makeup on in about 15 minutes what normally took 2 people 3 hours to do.

I ❤️ all the ❤️ for Shoshana. This is a no auto tune zone! 🎶
She like a masterclass in emoting thru your vocals and in technique. Cuz she is a phenomenal broadway star

Love your reaction to a marvelous performance by a talented singer.

Want more emoting from Shoshana? “She Used to Be Mine” from Waitress. This is my favorite recording of it.

Sne is a Awesome Performer in All she does! Loved her version of this song, since I heard it awhile back this is my favorite version!!🤗🎉🎉🎉

Love Shosh! She is a beast!!!
This and her cover of Taylor Swifts "I did something bad" with Cynthia Erivo are my go-tos to her. LOVE Shoshana

had to make the stankest of faces for that performance. she a mess. she don't sing, she saaang. got me jacked up.
A true veteran of the arts is a cut above the rest. So much soul in this little jewish girl from the PNW.
This performance should have made the news when it happened…
MASTERCLASS
She’s from Broadway. When idina menzel left wicked, she was her replacement
I was lucky enough to see her in the first tour wicked did in Los Angeles with Megan Hilty. And they were spectacular. Unpopular opinion probably, but I think she was better than Idina Menzel, and Megan is on par with Kristen Chenowith.
Wow! Beautiful sultry smoky passionate… stunning!! Thank you for reacting. I hadn’t heard of her
