  • A TURTLE NEST JUST HATCHED IN FRONT OF OUR BEACH HOUSE IN CATEEL, DAVAO ORIENTAL!
I had just got back from a long beach walk and was relaxing at the house... when suddenly a whole nest of turtles appeared in front of our house! Literally, Jandee Mike and I were talking... I went to get a bandage from my shoulder, and next thing you know, Jandee has a dead baby turtle due to dogs digging up the nest.
This is another raw video from our lives here along the coast of Davao. I am still beyond surprised about having a turtle nest in front of our house! Hopefully we can get more and more educated about this, and talk more with BFAR and the DENR.
    WHAT A BIG SURPRISE!
Hopefully some of these turtles beat the odds and grow old here in the ocean! :)
    Power On!

LOVE THIS!!! SO LUCKY. My bucket list! Good job protecting them from the dogs! Watch out for more hatching in the coming days! (Also can build small defense around the hatching area so they will be guided towards the ocean and they will remember for ever the beach)

From what I read in books, way back in my college years as a BS Biology major, Turtles will always come back to where they were born. No matter how far across the oceans they go, when they mature and it’s time for them to lay eggs, they will go back to the exact beach spot where they were born to lay eggs. So I suggest you guys preserve that area and exact same spot. Don’t put structures there because those baby turtles already imprinted on that and they will come back there to lay eggs once they all mature. I am so happy to watch this video. Keep doing good for our Philippine beaches 🙂

Have BFAR educate the community how to protect the turtles, like simply putting a marker around the nest so as not to disturb their natural habitat and avoid locals and visitors to ruin them by accident. Your place is lucky to have that amazing creatures

Kyle & the gang, what an exciting vlog, especially watching you guys saving & guiding the baby turtles back to their natural habitat, the ocean.
I remember, about 2 months back Mikegiver suspected that there was a trace of turtle presence in the sand. You guys tried to search it at night, but you couldn't find anything. Now, he is right! That was probably the mama turtle laying & burying her eggs. Bravo guys, you are now an official turtle Titos! Ingat all!

Sounds like your beach will need to be a protected area now so the turtles can come back to lay their eggs again. They'll be back where they were born and they'll remember where that place was. Great job! I was excited to see everyone at the beach!

I saw on some documentary, that they will come back where they were hatched. They have a natural compass to find their way when they become adult. That means the mother might come back to lay eggs again on the same area. The survival rate is low.

So glad that majority of the turtles made it to the sea. When we vacation in Hilton Head, South Carolina, the turtle nest have a sign not to disturb the sand near it. The homes are instructed to turn off the lights that are toward the beach during the night as turtles are attracted to them. They lay their eggs in darkness. Hopefully as the beach are gets very busy with resorts and tourists that people would be mindful of the turtles and their nests. BTW I really enjoy watching your vlogs. Power on Kulas!

Good morning Kulas and the gang!
You hit all my favorite food kulas, this is wow! Last time it was scrambled egg plus pancit and now, monggo which happens to be my all time favorite too. Seafoods, pakbet, any kinds of fish are on my top favorites too.
Monggo or Mung beans or green gram or Vigna radiata is not a major cause of arthritis; may be a slight contribution in triggering arthritis is a factor bacause it belongs to the family of beans/legumes and also taking into account the old belief emanated from the elderlies across the ages that it causes arthritis but, rather think of its health benefits than being negatively attributed to arthritis.. According to some readings and to include also ideas from some medical experts - monggo is rich in protein and it has a nutritional content which is good for the heart, brain and body.
Monggo is life so let's eat it!! 😄😄😄Oh before I forget, I like the color and style of your "waway hat"!

all legumes are high in purine which cause the gouty arthritis. but mostly its from animal protein thats too high in purine. red meat, internal organs, shell fish, sardinas too, anchovis goodbye happy meal if you have gout

JD is correct, but it’s because high protein, not just beans, could cause high uric acid causing gout.

    • @kaybeesee9883
      @kaybeesee9883 3 года назад

That and lots of alcohol consumption with high uric acid. Gout is a disease of the Philippines along with high blood and diabetes in this generation. The elders knew to eat better than today's diet.

"I'ts not the mongo that causes athritis, it's the beans" Jondy said.. Hahaha... It's called Mongo Beans🤣 You need to cut the mongo beans in half Kulas. Cook the mongo and throw the beans so that Kumar can eat it🤣🤣🤣

    • @saajidlisondra697

If you prepare boiled green mongo to lessen the effect of causing to rise the uric acid in your body after eating. You should cook it with the local spinach called " Alugbati" . Once you eat boiled green mongo with alugbati it won't rise your uric acid coz alugbati help to easy release the uric acid out of your system..

If you dont mind Kumar if you are eating oatmeal it is not good for arthritis too. You know why? Research about Barley
Rye, oats, wheat- “brow”these food can be found in beer, snowflakes that are not good for people with arthritis… avoid also rich in purine food and high protein….hehhehe wa ka nah makaon brad! Gulay na lang …avoid lang man not totally eradicated anyway. Apir!

Not arthritis, it's gout that is the problem, high uric acid which legumes cause more problems if you have gout.
