- Today, Jade explains why your Express Entry profile may be deemed ineligible. There are a number of ways you can check to verify that all of your information has been input correctly. Watch the video in full, or skip to the question you’d like the answer to:
0:13 Why was my profile found to be ineligible?

Thank you for the video. It is extensive and quite informative. I have a question about the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program - Express Entry Stream, which is a PNP of Alberta. When I calculate my CRS Score, it comes out to 326. However, I don't have 67 points for the Federal Skilled Worker Program and hence I was found to be ineligible for Express Entry. Still, the system let's me create a profile and submit it. Can I apply through this PNP?
Don’t know who needs to hear this but one of the main reasons why folks, particularly research/data analysts, have their EE profile found to be ineligible is that their work experience’s NOC is different than the “primary occupations’s” NOC!
And i say this happens to Research Analysts in particular is there are several NOCs that fit their duties incl “database administrators” and “software engineers”, etc

But i have one question, i have all eligibility in federal skill worker program and have a 1 year experience in canada in that but i also have 2 months of unpaid vacation and after that i was laid off for 2 more months due to covid. I had also extend my 1 year experience due to these 4 months gap period. So, is these gap will affect my express entry profile? Also , do i need to mention all part time and full time jobs which i have done or the full time job that is eligible for express entry profile?. What if i do not have any documents from my previous past part time and full-time other jobs?

I filed the application last year, it got expired, I filed the application but after 4 months of filing, I changed the NOC code and it became ineligible, what shall I do now, can I use the same email and file the new application or do you recommend to create new GC key account? Please advise.

How to update express entry profile?
I recently created my profile, and i claim points for relatives in canada uncle and aunty because my eligibility score is only 66 out of 100. But i am not sure whether they will provide any source of documents to me if requested by cic. So i withdraw my profile and will apply again without any relatives. Will it make any problem in future?
Thanks Jade, so before submitting a profile it's mandatory to have an education assessment in order to meet up the minimum points, and avoid non-scoring of your other filled details such as age, language, etc, right?

It’s not mandatory per se, but you need it to claim points for education, so it’s needed in most cases.

We created EXPRESS Entry profile, Got ITA. we were given 2 months to send the application after ITA. We completed the Profile after receiving ITA and sent the application money and we received message our application is submitted and now to just wait for their reply. We want to make a certain change in the profile and update our Proof of funds section but we are not able to make any change as it shows View Form with Transmitted in Red. We haven't received any mail saying that we are ineligible or our profile being ineligible. What to do now? Can we make any changes in our express entry profile after submitting our application by paying the applicationfees?

Your videos are great! I have a similar question, but regarding SINP PNP. I have been marked ineligible; due to not having required and relevant education according to selected NOC. Thank you for watching! Work experience generally only counts toward the requirements if it’s in a job listed under the same NOC code. In most cases, you’ll need to choose a primary NOC. Hello, my profile is still coming out as Ineligible even after meeting all the requirements. One thing I am not sure of is if I have to have at least 1 year in the same company doing the same job. So I have 10 months in one company, 3 months in another and 6 months in another. Could this be the issue?

I submitted my profile and still got a "ineligible" reply. My IELTS overall score is 7.5 and I have a Master's degree in Architecture. In the last part you mentioned that you need to have minimum 1 year experience in the NOC code field you are applying for. In my case I have 8 months experience in Architecture and 3 years in Interior Design do you think that could be a reason for rejection ?

Click on the orange “Withdraw profile” button.
Under the heading “What would you like to do today?” below the “Warning!” text, click on the orange “Continue” button.

Jade, thank you for this inspiring contents and update. My EE profile expires in October, 2021 (less than 3 months). Can I possibly withdraw the existing profile and create a new one to increase the validity and stand a chance of being invited in future. Your advise will be highly appreciated.

thank you for this. hope you can help me. I had to update my passport details and i realized i was not able to update the funds needed since i placed an amount that was exactly what was needed and didnt place a buffer amount which resulted to an ineligible application. how do i go about this?
You’ll need to create a new profile with the updated proof of funds. This way you will have a new valid profile.

Hello, i re-created my profile May last year and whilst waiting on provincial nomination, checked my express entry profile and it showed ineligible. The only reason i can attribute is my IELTS was wrttien Jan 2018. Can this be the reason?

Hi Jade I have answered all the questionnaire for the eligible profile for express entry. But when I actually submit my profile to the pool not long from there, there’s always a message that says I am not eligible and they didn’t even gave me a score on my profile. Could you help identify what’s wrong ? Is it possible because I submitted the minimum IELTS score even though many people says it still eligible to apply though

I have a query, I have been in the pool for 7 Months already and theres no response , my work profile has mix of noc 2173 and noc 2281 roles and responsibilities. So i chose 2281 as my NOC code. Can I change my NOC to 2173 so i can have better chance of getting ITA? Will my profile get ineligible if I change my NOC code?

Hi Imtiaz. Generally, there shouldn't be an issue with changing your NOC code. With my clients, I often find that a different NOC code is suitable for them (once I receive more information about their actual work experience. You just need to remember to change your primary occupation under the federal skilled worker class to reflect the NOC code change. Best of luck!

I had taken IELTS 2 times , in first attempt , the scores were slightly better than 2nd test , so can I still use the first IELTS test scores while filing the application.

Hello Jade! I have recently edited my work experience and added new IELTS score. In couple of hours I have received a message saying " you are not eligible for express entry programme". My question is " Can I rectify the problem without impacting my initial pool creation or submission date which was on July 2020 ?" As this would be a factor in case of tie breaker. In my experience this is not needed, if ineligible you do not have a profile, so nothing is needed to be done.

First experience - 2 yrs 11 months
Second experience - 11 months
Can I claim points for 3 years?

Hi, thanks so much for this video. So i opened the profile and immediately got response immediately that i wasnt eligible even with a PhD in engineering and IELTS of 7.5s. I actually tried to delete the profile but i couldnt find the yellow bar as indicated in the link you offered. I want to wait for 48 hours and see if there will be a change and if not hopefully the yellow bar would have appeared. As it is i cannot withdraw my profile, i cant even delete it and yet the system says i am ineligible.

Hi Jade, Please help me out! My fsw score is 70.
But when I make my ee profile it states I am ineligible. My ielts score is L8,R8,W6,S7. I tried tons of time but it still states I’m ineligible until when just to check i added my language score as 8777 and the profile becomes eligible.
How is this possible? Is it true that ee doesn’t accept profiles below clb 9? Please let me know awaiting response.

I have applied twice for the express entry but both the times I got a message saying I’m Not eligible for the express entry pool. When I checked my eligibility online It showed me that I am eligible for it. Now I don’t know what to do. I’m scared if I apply again with the same account, I might get rejected again. For example: I have graduated with a 4-year Computer Science degree but as of now I have 2 years work experience (full-time) as a restaurant manager.
Your work experience must match the NOC code requirement for the Express Entry program you apply to. For example, the Federal Skilled Worker Class requires Canadian or foreign experience in 1 of these NOCs: 0, A, B

My express entry profile was locked earlier as I was not eligible for the express entry ( coz didn't met 67 point criteria). But now I am eligible as I have new score and more job experience than earlier but now I am unable to update the old one.
1. So should I first revoke the old account and make new one
2. Or simply make another account and the first one be the same
So should I delete the old account before making new one

Hi please help we noticed our consultant just now that they closed their office due to Covid-19 and our application is in dire situation. We've received our express entry profile on July 06, 2020 that were eligible but since our consultant ran away and not responsive anymore. My question is how can we continue our application on our own because our accounts handled by our consultant is there anyway we can create an account and transfer all our details in new account, so that we can receive an email from Canada immigration etc.? Hi Kristian, if your profile is in the consultant's, account, you will need to ask for access. If they will not provide access, you can ask them to delete the profile and create your own account and profile. Good luck!

Hi Jade.. I applied online once and it was an eligible profile, then I made some changes in my profile, and it was ineligible then. So as per your video, I revoked the older account and tried creating a new profile. But I am not able to fill any PR form online. It just asks me some security questions, then takes me to the final page. Has online application feature been revoked, otherwise please help me.

Hi. I have submitted my profile however, just few minutes later (like less than 20 minutes), i already received a respond of "profile ineligible' ( i mean why do quick?). And as i check the message, not a single score was displayed (as in 0) and everything was blank. Is this normal when you receive that ineligible result?? Please help.

Any luck guys? I submitted my profile a couple of days back and I am pretty sure that I meet all the eligibility criteria but still received an ineligibility email from CIC. Did you guys found out what went wrong in your case?
This is what I did. I deleted my GC key and waited for 3-4 days before creating a new one. I found out that I was putting the wrong number of years for my education. It should have been 4, while I was entering 16 for my bachelors ( I was calculating all years of my education, and not just of the degree). It’s minor errors like this that make the application ineligible. Just be careful while filling it out.

ECA be less then five years old, what mean
Hello Inder. An Educational Credential Assessment is a report by an independent company that evaluates your foreign education. For Express Entry, this report is used to make sure that your foreign degree, diploma, certificate (or other proof of your credential) is valid and equal to a Canadian one.
So, for Express Entry, IRCC will accept ECA reports for 5 years from the date they were issued.
