Dick Sharples has always written excellent comedies. He makes sure he uses two words in them: Bromide & A man's fundamentals🤣🤣Combine his work with the perfect cast and you have a success on your hands.
In Loving Memory and Hallelujah! love them both. and in both they suggest someone take bromide. early part of the century it was sort of sedative not without its other uses and dangers. anyone remember their families using it?
At one time Thora was on ITV in Hallelujah at the same time as being on BBC1 in her hymns programme Praise Be. No catch up on demand TV back then, just a few folks with early video players maybe( ??) so you had to decide which programme you would watch.
They don't make shows like this anymore.
All 3 ladies are class acts.
Just found this exceptional series this week, i love it, 3 brilliant actresses
Love Thora Hird and Patsy Rowlands ,
